I Was Sold to My Mortal Enemy (Double Transmigrations)

Chapter 27

Shi Yi felt distraught and barely touched his dinner before retreating to his room. After washing up, he laid on the bed, feeling somewhat distant from Pei Xing. He gave Pei Xing’s back a slap to express his frustration.

Pei Xing, aware that Shi Yi was still upset, hugged him, kissed his pink earlobe, and then gave him a deep kiss. Their closeness generated a sense of warmth and comfort, which gradually eased the tension between them.

When they finally separated, their breathing was heavy, and Shi Yi’s head rested on Pei Xing’s chest. The warmth and affection between them filled the room. They were both acutely aware of the desire building up within.

Pei Xing, his voice slightly hoarse, asked, “Baby, are you still upset?”

Shi Yi responded, “I’m not upset. You’re just a stinky hooligan, acting like a stupid dog all the time. It’s only me who can put up with you. Nobody else would want you.”

Pei Xing laughed and, turning over, kissed him passionately.

Shi Yi was sensitive, and he soon lost himself in the desire and heat of the moment. In his dazed state, he heard soft words whispered in his ear, “I will always belong to you.”

The following day, Pei Xing, Zhou Yan, Song Ning, and others were heading to Baiyin City for the Luming Banquet. After the events of the previous day, Pei Xing didn’t feel comfortable leaving Shi Yi behind.

In the end, Father Song, Aunt Hong, and the two younger siblings went to travel to Zhongzhou first. They wanted to attend Lu Chao’s wedding and Father Song wanted to take this opportunity to visit his eldest daughter.

As the group split into two parties, Shi Yi had initially wanted to go to Zhongzhou with them, he was worried about leaving Xiao Liu with them. However, Pei Xing, without turning back, lifted him onto the boat bound for Baiyin City.

Shi Yi watched the departing boat with a worried expression.

Song Ning tried to comfort him, saying, “Don’t worry. My father is skilled in martial arts, and Aunt Hong also knows some. Brother Lu is in Zhongzhou, so they’ll be safe.”

Curious, Shi Yi asked, “How good is Aunt Hong’s martial arts? Who’s better, Aunt Hong or Uncle Song?”

Song Ning pondered for a moment before saying, “My father is more skilled.”

Shi Yi was relieved to hear that Father Song was the more accomplished martial artist. After all, he was aware that Father Song had experience on the battlefield.

Upon their arrival in Baiyin City at noon, they headed directly to Huanyue Tower. Shi Yi remembered their previous stay with Xie Yu, which had been costly. Concerned about expenses, he suggested to Pei Xing, “Maybe we should consider staying somewhere less expensive. This place is quite pricey.”

“It’s not expensive, it is safe to stay here.” Pei Xing reassured him with a smile, took his wrist, and led him to a private room. He then left to book rooms with Zhou Yan.

Song Ning watched them with curiosity.

Perplexed, Shi Yi touched his face and asked, “What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?”

Song Ning shook his head, saying, “Brother Pei chose this place, you didn’t know why?”

Shi Yi, wide-eyed, replied, “What do you mean?”

Song Ning was surprised by his response. “You don’t know? Brother Pei didn’t tell you anything?”

Confused, Shi Yi asked, “What should I know?”
