Under his thick and long eyelashes, his eyes remained unmoved and quiet.
However, he had a wicked aura. His slender fingers were casually placed on the back on the chair while his fair fingers held a casual laziness to it.
However, there was no one in the classroom now and naturally, no one would be able to witness such a rare beauty.
Jiang Heng’s eyes were lazily closed and his initially cold eyes seemed very dark. It was only after a while that the teenager slowly raised his hand and put on his collar pin again before standing up to leave his seat coldly.
At the same time, Yun Xia was experiencing a modern school life with a curious mind.
Queueing to buy food; Finding a seat… Yun Xia felt that such down to earth actions did not suit a demon lord at all. However, after she had taken a bit of that delicious chicken, she had totally forgotten about her identity as a distinguished demon lord.
When the girl ate, her cheeks were all puffed up due to the food in her mouth.
A few of the boys beside her noticed her and thought that she looked very cute. Hence, they wanted to come over to strike a conversation with her.
However, Yun Xia ate like a little hamster and so, her speed was very fast. The boys were still hesitating and she had already cleaned her plate. She raised her tray while feeling very satisfied with her meal before humming a song and left happily.
The boys: “…”
Before school ended for the weekend, there was another examination taking place.
The paper was personally set by the headteacher and was meant to test a students’ real ability and standard.
Although he did not believe Yun Xia’s words earlier on, he still took note of her.
When the examination began, the girl took the paper and started to write furiously with her head lowered… her pen made swooshing sounds upon contact with the examination paper and her fair and soft face wore a serious expression.
However, after ten minutes, she relaxed her eyebrows. She capped her pen as arrogantly and smugly as an assassin slipping her sword back into its scabbard.
After that, she took her school bag and her examination paper to the front and put it on the teacher’s desk.
“Teacher, I am done writing and thus, I will go home first.” Her tone of voice was still as lazy and arrogant as ever.
The students were caught by surprise by her action and raised their heads to look at her in unison.
The class monitor saw that she handed up her script in ten minutes and couldn’t help but scoff while giving her a disdainful look.
The girl strutted out of the classroom and the headteacher took the script while still in a daze. He flipped the script several times.
All of her answers were exactly the same as the answers on his answer sheet.
He personally set the questions himself so the answers wouldn’t be ready-made and hence, this would rule out the possibility of her cheating.
In that case, she really did do the script herself…
The headteacher held the script and stood rooted to the ground.
He had been a teacher for so long and yet, this was the first time he wanted to doubt his life.
…
Yun Xia exited the classroom.
When she walked past the neighboring classroom, the door happened to open at that time. A slender figure walked out and his cold eyes met her eyes.
His face was devoid of expression and he glanced past her with his cold eyes. He then closed the door and turned around to walk towards the staircase.
Yun Xia caught up to him and smiled while showing her dimples. “Your class is also having an examination, am I right? Did you hand up your script beforehand too?”
Jiang Heng remained quiet.
The demon lord happily said, “You’ve come out of the classroom one minute later than me so your writing speed is slower than mine.”
The teenager remained quiet while his expression was filled with indifference. His fair fingers held the shoulder strap of his bag and calmly went down the stairs. He totally ignored the talkative demon lord.
Both of them were exiting the school and hence, were walking in the same direction. Yun Xia was following behind him and looked at his slender back before chuckling, “There is a phrase that can be especially used to describe you. What was it… Oh right, veteran cadre 1. You are a veteran cadre.”
Perhaps he was too annoyed by her nonsense, the stone-cold teenager finally side-eyed her. His beautiful pitch-black eyes looked at her while his voice was cool and deep, “If you continue talking…”
His tone of voice turned lazy.
“A veteran cadre can also make you shut up.”
