Chapter 4: Chapter 4 The Incredible Gate of Ashburn.
Rayne was ecstatic to see the items extracted from his novice gift pack.
It was way better than he was expecting.
Each one of the items from the gift pack can be considered top-tier.
What? The skill inheritance of Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna isn't useful in a cultivation world like Douluo continent?
The system clearly stated that the skills from this inheritance will be transformed and even upgraded into that of Douluo world's skills.
Not to mention, most of the inherited skills are basically divine techniques in this world.
Skills like Limitless, Domain Expansion and Reverse Curse technique, converted and upgraded to match of Douluo, are without a doubt unprecedentedly powerful skills.
The function of Domain expansion from the world of Jujutsu Kaisen far surpasses any domain-type abilities in Douluo continent. It's like comparing a basic technique to an ultimate technique.
The Domain Expansion, Infinite Void, brings the user and their targets inside the Limitless itself, a vast void of infinite knowledge. Boundless raw information floods into the target's mind, overwhelming them to the point where they're completely immobilized.
The complete incapacitation of the target is caused by a phenomenon where the target will be able to see and feel everything while not being able to see or feel anything at the same time. All the actions one has taken in their life is forced upon them infinitely and they can't do anything but die slowly.
Once this domain is cast, it is an almost guaranteed win.
The Reversed Curse Technique surpasses most of the healing type soul skills in Douluo continent. There are very very few skills that can even be compared with it.
The unique skill of Black Flash is also incredibly powerful and valuable skill.
Not to mention Limitless.
This cursed technique is basically a divine ability in Douluo continent, with the courtesy of the ultimate defense skill, Infinity.
Even the extensive techniques of limitless are unbelievably powerful. If converted to that of Soul skills of Douluo continent…
Including the two skills and domain expansion from Sukuna, that's a little more than nine 'self-created' soul skills. The value of self-created soul skills is very high. Self-created soul skills are often the signs of a top genius.
Not to mention, there are most likely many other skills in Gojo Satoru's skill inheritance, such as Domain Amplification, barrier techniques, curse energy body enhancement, Falling Blossom Emotion, etc.
And most importantly… the Six Eyes!
The Six Eyes allow for the extremely precise manipulation of cursed energy, down to an atomic level. This not only allows the bearer to operate the Limitless through complex control of cursed energy but enables them to process it with great efficiency as well. The amount of cursed energy lost when a bearer activates a cursed technique is infinitesimally close to zero, making it impossible for them to run out of cursed energy. This most likely applies to soul power as well.
Overpowered already.
And Sukuna's skills are also without a doubt incredibly powerful.
Sukuna was able to learn a 'slash that cuts through reality' by letting Mahoraga adapt to Limitless.
Rayne possesses both Dismantle and Limitless. He believes that he himself can learn that incredible technique one day.
This first item of the gift pack that seems unimpressive compared to the rest of the items, already brings so much benefits to Rayne. As for whether there are any other benefits from this skill inheritance, it is unknown until he accepts it from the system.
The next items include two different types of life simulator opportunities which can be used three times each. He doesn't know much about these items, but it should be be a game changer.
A magical treasure storage with luck bonus.
A martial soul based on 'Karma' from the series Naruto/Boruto. It's been systematically modified to be quite different from the 'Karma' shown in the anime/manga. Atleast from the brief description of this item, it should be a fairly powerful martial soul.
Next is the Harem God's gift. Rayne is not sure about what this item is about, but he is optimistic about it, just because of the word 'harem'.
Last, but not least, the Multiverse Chat Group membership token.
It's a lie to say that Rayne is not optimistic about it. This item is his key to different fictional universes. Even if this is just a normal membership token and not the group owner token, he is still very happy about getting this item.
Reviewing the items from gift pack, Rayne could only utter with a big smile.
"Subarashi!"
After taking some deep breaths and calming down his excited mood, Rayne asked the system.
"System, will there be any commotion when I receive the items from the gift pack?"
[No. You do not have to worry about it, host.]
"I see. That's good."
There is a reason for Rayne inquiring about this matter.
In a lot of novels and fanfictions he has read, as soon as the protagonists take out something from the system, or receive their novice gift packs, there is usually a lot of commotion.
For example, a massive heaven and earth vision that appear out of nowhere and alerting the entire world, causing all sorts of powerhouses from all over the world to gather around the protagonist in minutes.
Or some powerful people sensing something unusual and pestering the protagonists for a long time.
Or just outright fall into enlightenment or similar state, for a long time, starting from a minimum of three months to a maximum estimate of 100 years or even thousands of years.
And many more unreasonable situations.
Rayne doesn't want any of those. He just wants to grow stronger now, in preparation for his harem in the future. It's never too late to get famous after he becomes a genuinely powerful person.
"For starters, let's start with the Gate of Ashburn. In isekai, an inventory is a basic necessity."
With a smile he pressed the retrieve option on the 'Gate of Ashburn'.
As soon as he selected, two shining golden light orbs appeared out of nowhere.
One of the two golden light orbs suddenly rushed and penetrated his forehead, which frightened him.
But surprisingly, other than feeling a bit dizzy for a few seconds, Rayne was perfectly fine.
Just when he was feeling puzzled, the other golden light orb started vibrating and changing shape.
"This is…"
Soon, the golden light faded and what remained was a big red-gold key with unique shape. It very much resembled the golden Key of a certain King of Heroes.
After looking at it for a while, Rayne slowly stretched out his right hand to the red-gold key that was floating before him.
As soon as he touched the key, it merged into his right palm in an instant, bringing about a warm feeling in him for a second before disappearing.
"…."
Rayne silently observed himself for a few seconds. He didn't feel any different physically or mentally compared to before.
"I don't feel any different. How do I open my magical spatial storage? Do I just shout out its name?"
However, before he could say anything, Rayne felt an inexplicable mental connection with something within him. Soon that connection became more clearer to him, as he instinctively understood how to use the Gate of Ashburn.
As he raised his hand, a reddish gold ripple in space appeared next to him.
Rayne could feel the empty, but almost infinite space within the Gate of Ashburn. It should be impossible for him to sense such infinite space with his life level. But somehow its possible due to him owning the treasure storage.
"Well, that settles the inventory. Let's check the other gifts."
*crumble*
Just as he was about to activate another item from his novice pack, Rayne heard the sound of something crumbling.
Startled, Rayne hurriedly turned around to find the source of the sound.
He saw the wall of his dorm having an odd hole as some of the paint, along with what looked like rotten wood on it, crumbled and fell to the ground.
"…"
Rayne quietly moved towards the wall. He slowly reached out his hand and lightly knocked near the hole on the wall.
Instead of feeling the tough surface of the wall, Rayne felt that he had knocked on something like hollow-wood.
Rayne guessed something and had an incredulous look on his face.
To test his guess, he put his hand into the hole in the wall.
As soon as he did, he felt himself holding something like a handle. He turned it and a small clicking sound resounded.
Rayne pulled back his hand without letting go of the handle. A part of the wall, or rather, an big square shaped thin wooden board was smoothly pulled out.
What revealed was a cubic shaped gap in the wall about 1 cubic meter.
Within the hidden space, there were two bracelets. One Black and one pink.
Upon first sight, Rayne knew that these two bracelets were spatial storage soul tools.
At this point, Rayne was dumbfounded.
"I knew that Gate of Ashburn had a luck bonus for treasures. But to think it would be in effect so soon!"
Rayne picked up the two bracelets and checked the contents of them.
As soon as he did, he was quite surprised and even shocked by the contents within the two storage soul tools.
The black bracelet contained almost ten million gold soul coins, about 6 defense-type soul tools, about 10 well-made swords and spears, two bows and about a 300 special arrows, and five notebooks.
Ten million gold soul coins is an astronomical amount of wealth! The soul tools themselves are quite valuable. The hefty amount of weapons should also cost a lot, as they seem to be of good quality.
Of the five notebooks, except for the one note book with the title 'My cultivation experience', the rest of them showed exactly what they were, just from their titles.
Night Flower cultivation method.
Sword Training Manual.
Spear Training Manual.
Archery Training Manual.
Looking at these books, Rayne felt that someone had purposely left these specific books, almost like an inheritance.
While the contents of the first storage soul tool was indeed shocking, the second one made Rayne dumbfounded.
What he saw in the pink bracelet was…
Two soul bones, a bunch of books again, about 15 of them. Two tokens that looked rather special, one of them awfully looked similar to the description of Spirit Hall's Supreme Pontiff's token.
Even though the contents of this bracelet looked low in quantity compared to the first bracelet, it surpasses the quality section by a lot.
Rayne didn't know how to react to this sudden massive gain in wealth.
"I knew… I knew about the treasure luck bonus. But to think it'd be effective to this extent!"
