Chapter 305: Rosen Town
"Mother, I'll be returning late. You don't have to prepare dinner for me."
"Alright… Be careful!"
The lady in his forties can only reply as her daughter left the house quickly. She couldn't stop her from her plans as she knows how capable her daughter is.
Her daughter, Aria Luxford, is now a genuine Second-Class Arcanist and one of the finest Arcanists in the younger generation.
Because of her talent and achievements, their small family thrive in a few years and their declining noble status had completely changed.
They managed to pay their debts, buy a manor, regained full control of their fief, several servants have also returned, and they are now owning several stores in many towns.
They were also able to help their relatives that are experiencing financial troubles and have them return and serve the family.
Of course, even with all of this, they have decided to still live in Rosen Town in case Diether would return and find them.
At the very least, Diether has already written a letter to them and Aria has also met with him a couple of times so she's no longer worrying about him…
'My son and daughter are now capable and strong… I wish you've seen them grow up…' Luna said in her mind as she looked at the image of her husband displayed on their table.
Baroness Luna Luxford has been the talk of the town recently because of her daughter who had brought their family into the limelight. Her husband's infamy was also covered up and completely forgotten because of this.
Right now, though she wasn't the most influential person in the town, she can be ranked in the top five.
Especially when Aria Luxford returned successfully in the war against the Erliente Dukedom and when her son, Diether Luxford, was knighted within the Sun Fire Knights.
"Haa~ I wonder when will that kid return… He shouldn't be shy returning home by now…" The Baroness sighed as she reminded her servants that her daughter wouldn't be having dinner here for today.

Aria doesn't have any missions right now and was free to do anything she wants. It is all thanks to her contribution to the Awakened Association and to their Kingdom itself.
"I should be able to find out the truth… I'm close to it..." Aria muttered as she continued walking to the Town Hall.
She's scheduled to have a private meeting with the Town Chief today. She wanted to find out the truth about her father's disappearance and right now, only the town chief who owes his life to her is the person she could trust to help her.
She can't allow any other person that she's looking into it as it might cause trouble to her family if the real culprit found out about this.
As she was walking to the Town Hall, she suddenly heard a commotion in the main street. It seems that there was a fight considering the sounds of clashing swords that she heard.
However, this confused her a bit.
Though this is not a huge town, this place is still heavily protected by many guards, wandering Hunters, and Arcanists….
After all, this place is just quite near to the branch of the Royal Academy. There was no way that the people here are not aware of this.
She checked the time on the clock tower and after noticing that it is still early, she decided to see what was happening.
She walked into the crowd and observed the battle happening in the middle of the street. She saw that the town guards are there but they seem to be hesitant to act…
'A noble is involved, huh…' Aria easily guessed the situation.
Though the guards have authority given by the town chief, it's difficult to act against someone with noble status. After all, the guards don't even know whether the chief would be able to back them up and give them protection if the noble turned their fury to them.
"Kneel! How dare you scam me like this?! You dare sell your item at such a price!"
A short and chubby man wearing an expensive coat and jewels around his body lashed at the Hunter who is holding his sword…
It appears that the latter defended himself when the nobleman's bodyguard attacked him…
Aria looked at the side and noticed that the Hunter is currently peddling several items on the side of the road. This is not a new thing since the Hunter Association may not always buy your things especially if it's not commonly being used and just being stuck in their storage for a very long time…
The Association can't just take anything with a value that may just gather dust in their storage. In these cases, it is better to have a help of a merchant or perhaps, sell it by themselves so they don't have to pay commission fees.
"Sir, please calm down. The Cryptic Energy Stone's price should be just fine. I'm not selling it overpriced!" The middle-aged hunter didn't back down in front of the noble.
Though he's facing 4 bodyguards together with the nobleman, he's sure that they wouldn't go further than scaring him in this wide-open place.
Unless they have proven that he really is scamming them, they shouldn't be able to do anything to him with the guards around.
However, he still underestimated the pettiness of this hateful noble.
"Ha! I'll no longer get scammed again! I know that this is a scam! I can't trust you, commoners! Don't you know who I am? Can't you still recognize me? I'm Noel Faust! The only son of the current Financial Advisor of Earl Stocker! Hurry! Cease this man!"
Noel Faust exclaimed.
In truth, his father's position has degraded a lot since he was previously the Minister of Finance… However, he can now only work with a high-ranking noble because his evil deeds were about to be exposed and he needed to lay low…
"Haa~ So he hasn't changed, huh…" Aria shakes her head after recognizing the pathetic man who's now causing trouble in the streets.
She was about to leave the place as she didn't want to get involved... However, she suddenly noticed three interesting female Arcanists passed by her and were talking about the Cryptic Energy Stone...
By the looks of it, it seems that they don't want that stone to be handed over to the noble.
