As soon as Szaaz noticed that the wielder of the golden dagger was no longer paying attention to him, he quickly dealt with the group of Dark Elves near him. 

Now that he has plenty of Mystical Energy in him, he's able to maximize his conversion ability and use his Arcane Magic almost without limit!

Every Dark Elves that was pierced by the Trident would collapse to the ground. Their body would turn green and their orifices will bleed out. 

It was such a brutal sight… However, Szaaz is a Cursed Arcana and this kind of massacre wasn't new to him.

During his era with Nero, he would destroy a village for a few hundred people in a matter of seconds. During his time, there wasn't a lot of Arcanists or organization that is capable of stopping his rampage. 

No one could detoxify his poison and sensing his presence would scare a lot of people…

This is why he was also quite pissed off at these Dark Elves… They have brought a special weapon to kill him so he was unable to attack recklessly…

"Princess, please destroy that cursed thing now!"

Szaaz heard the Dark Elves and realized that the wielder has already fended off the distraction made by his Master.

Nevertheless, he already killed half of the Dark Elves so the number of Arcane Magic that will be thrown at him will be lessened a lot.

'Hmph! Come at me!'

Szaaz no longer hesitated and charged at the beautiful princess of the Dark Elves…

The restricting magic that they've used against him was no longer that effective so he knows that he can swiftly avoid the dagger and aim at the lady.

As expected, the princess wasn't just a simple Dark Elf. She's extremely good in combat as she used her vambrace to deflect the Trident…

Seeing that he didn't manage to scratch the vambrace, the equipment-type Arcana must be focusing on defense.

This is a good partner with her dagger.

'What? Thirty points of Durability was lost?! But I didn't touch it this time!'

Szaaz finally realized that he doesn't have to get hit by the dagger to have his durability decreased by a huge chunk.

'Tsk… Did I underestimate them?' 

This is not good for him. He's unaware of how the dagger works. It means that he won't have an idea how to defend against it.

If just getting near him would consume his durability, then he needs to use his long-range attacks…

'But I already used my long-range abilities… They are not effective against Dark Elves and I need physical contact to infuse them with my toxins... This is not good.'

Szaaz learned that he has to be in defensive mode again. The Dark Elves have good resistance against Curse and Poison Arcane Magic and it's difficult to penetrate their defense unless he's able to bleed or scratch them…

As he was about to ask for help again, he found out that the Dark Elves were all backing away!

'Are you thinking of escaping?!'

He wouldn't let them get away! As he was about to rush, he suddenly heard his master.

'Stop… Let them go!'

'Yes, Master… However, they might just return to this village.' Szaaz didn't think twice to follow his Master's orders and halted his movement.

'That's right… We'll follow them and find their base.'

'Whoa! I didn't think about that… As expected of Master…'

The Trident Arcana was impressed at this as he acted like he was also weakened and retreated to the Bhibra Village. 

As the Dark Elves saw him like this, they also calmed down a bit before continuing with their escape. 

Apparently, Mourad is not stopping his shooting.

He continuously fires his Energy Bullet though it is getting weaker the further they go.

'That's enough Mourad. Don't waste your Spiritual Energy to them.'

'Ahh… I understand, Master. I'm just trying to see how much damage I could inflict on them in this distance.'

Mourad replied as he put down his rifle. 

'Alright… Come with us.'

Reiji said as they moved forward with Szaaz.

As for his Sword Slaves, he just has to make sure that he doesn't exceed the 20 km distance so they wouldn't have to die. 

Reiji calmly followed the Dark Elves…

However, he's unaware of someone who has been watching them all along… The Dark Elf King…

As the first wave was fended off by Half-Imps in Bhibra Village, the Isengard Fortress had also finished dealing with the beasts that has attacked them in daylight. 

Apparently, most of the soldiers who perished in this battle didn't die because of the Evil Beasts but because of the Dark Elves that had use wide-range attack magic! 

They affected many of them who doesn't have a good resistance against poison and curse magic.

On the other hand, Diether and Rufus felt something from the members of the Night Brigade. They have been sneaking glances at them and they are already getting suspicious.

"Diether, do you think they have a crush on you?"

"Haa~ I think that our guess is right… That sword is probably the Sacred Sword or a copy of it…"

Diether sighed. He's unsure why they would always glance at him and Rufus. This is the only reason that he could come up with.

"Everyone! Thank you for your efforts! We have stopped the Beast Wave because we all stayed together. Though I want to make celebrations, quite a number of us died because of the unexpected appearance of the Dark Elves… Even I didn't predict that to happen. Thankfully, we managed to kill all of them in time…"

General Julian stood on top of the wall. He didn't help them at all so some of them were actually quite bitter about it. 

Their companions would've probably survived if the General led the fight against the Beasts.

However, none of them could say these words and they can only agree with the general.

Diether noticed the atmosphere in the Fortress… and he didn't like it.

"We'll leave this fortress after we've rested…" As soon as he said this, he felt something…

Rufus had the same foreboding as if they have lost something extremely important… It was such a weird feeling.

On the other hand, a young lady meditating on top of the stone had the same feeling. She looked at a distance with a grave look on her face…

"Stella, is there something wrong?" Her companion noticed her actions and asked worriedly.

"Nothing… It's just a weird feeling…"

The young lady calmed her breathing as she tried to understand what she just felt…

In the end… none of them could tell that their Master Reiji has been captured and on the verge of death.
