I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball

Chapter 31: Commercial Blows are Necessary

After returning to Konoha, Nagasawa asked Kakashi to rent a room at the inn for Hanabira as a temporary residence. Then he took the mission objective and went straight to the Hokage building.

After walking to the door of the Hokage's office, Nagasawa knocked on the door.

Since Minato became the Hokage, he almost came to the Hokage's office every two or three days, so he was familiar with the route even though he had never entered Hokage's office prior to Minato becoming Hokage.

Minato, who was dealing with paperwork, heard a knock on the door and politely said, "Please come in."

Nagasawa opened the door, and after placing the intel on Minato's desk, he said with a smile, "Thankfully, I did not let you down this time. The mission is a success. In addition to the intel about the three Kusagakure Shinobi that we held captive, I also brought the intel about the Kusagakure Shinobi that I killed."

A hint of joy flashed across Minato's face, but he was not in a hurry to open the file bag. Instead, he smiled and said, "As expected of Nagasawa. You actually came back so quickly. It hasn't even been two weeks since you left. Cutting off the time during your travel, I believe you only take at most a week to complete this mission. Inviting you to Anbu is definitely one of the best things I have ever done in my life.

Nagasawa smiled and teased, "Minato, after you became the Hokage, your speech skill has also improved a lot. Flattery won't get you nowhere, you know."

"Well, I'll be sure to hold back a little. I know you don't really handle compliments well. After all, you are an ordinary Chunin." Minato teased back with a smile.

Nagasawa didn't mind and said with a smile, "You really got me, Minato."

Who didn't like to be praised? He was not a masochist who would be excited after being humiliated.

Of course, that depended on who praised him. If it were just a passer-by who had no skill or reputation, he would not be pleased whatsoever.

However, Minato was different. He was a well-known Shinobi. He was so famous that the Shinobi who encountered him during the mission were allowed to give up the mission without punishment.

Therefore, Nagasawa naturally felt a sense of accomplishment.

"Oh right, I got an unexpected gift for you. I found a wandering Uzumaki Clan in Kusagakure and brought her to Konoha." Nagasawa said as he thought of Hanabira.

"Uzumaki Clan members...? Kushina should be very happy, right?" Listening to Nagasawa, Minato thought of Kushina.

Although Kushina had always been very cheerful, Minato knew she had her own share of trouble.

Most of the time in the Academy, she was shunned by many people because she was an outsider and had red hair, which was rare.

Fortunately, with him and Nagasawa at that time, the situation did not get too bad.

However, Kushina had always had very few friends who would help her during her time as a Jinchuriki.

Fortunately, she befriended Mikoto Uchiha on the battlefield, and now the two families had a good relationship and often met.

If there was another one of them, he felt that Kushina would be happy.

"That person is called Uzumaki Hanabira, and her talent is outstanding. I'm going to have someone train her for a while so that she can become a Shinobi." Nagasawa laid out his plan.

"Her sensory ability is outstanding, and her Chakra is also very special. With a little training, she should be able to awaken the unique Uzumaki Clan abilities such as the Mind's Eye of the Kagura and Adamantine Sealing Chain."

Minato thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you have Kushina teach her? There shouldn't be anyone more suitable than her in Konoha."

"Perfect. Now Kushina will have something to kill time while you're busy. She will get moldy for staying home all day." Nagasawa agreed.

After the two chatted about some things during Nagasawa's mission, Minato smiled and said, "Given a little more time, I'm afraid that you will no longer be able to call yourself an ordinary Chunin anymore."

Nagasawa thought for a moment and asked, "Are you going to promote me to Jonin?"

Minato nodded.

He explained, "Chunin's position is too low. If you remain a Chunin while being an Anbu Squad Leader, it will cause criticism."

"It doesn't matter, but it is not a problem. My mission record is not that good." Nagasawa said casually.

He did not really care about being promoted to Jonin.

He did not want to be promoted in the past because he was not strong enough and was afraid of dying in dangerous war missions.

But now that he had fused with the Whitebeard template, his strength should be enough to fare against the current Shinobi World. At least he did not have to worry about being insta-killed by the villain boss that appeared out of nowhere.

"When the matter with Kusagakure is resolved, I can divide this mission into multiple S-Rank Missions. This way, you'll get more credit. Then I will arrange it so that you will be the one to negotiate with Kusagakure, adding another credit, and that should be enough to get you promoted." Minato smiled gently.

Nagasawa could not help but smile helplessly. Most people became Jonin after making a worthy achievement during war or accumulating their contribution little by little.

On the other hand, he deliberately avoided high-rank Missions before he joined Anbu, but after he joined Anbu, he completed an S-Rank Mission right off the bat and would be promoted to Jonin soon.

"I'm sorry for troubling you. By the way, how is the orphanage?"

Before heading to Kusagakure, Nagasawa had mentioned this matter to Minato, saying that he wanted the orphanage in the village to be an official orphanage in Konoha.

"It has been settled. The subsidies for this month will be distributed tomorrow." Minato nodded.

Although Minato was a that would not hesitate to kill his enemies, he was compassionate toward his own countrymen, especially the orphans who lost their families because of the war.

"However, when I handled this matter, I encountered a strange thing. It seemed that Elder Shimura strongly opposed turning that orphanage into Konoha's official orphanage. Fortunately, the other higher-ups agreed with me. Do you have any idea why? Minato looked at Nagasawa with some doubts in his eyes.

With Danzo's objection, Minato knew that there was definitely something wrong with this orphanage. It was not an ordinary orphanage.

However, because Nagasawa was the one that brought up this matter first, Minato did not investigate it out of trust in Nagasawa. He did plan to ask Nagasawa when he came back.

"Because the caretaker of the orphanage is an ex-Root member. The orphanage has always relied on the money she received from Root to keep food on the table. Maybe Danzo threatened to stop giving financial aid to the orphanage so that she continues working for Root." Nagasawa said lightly.

"A subordinate that Elder Shimura has always been thinking about..." Minato's eyes flashed, and he suddenly came up with an idea.
