Chapter 3 Preparation
He never expected that after waiting for several days, he would get such a broken system.
He estimated that if he continued chatting with the system, it would become a meme that was circulated on the Internet.
He: "System, I want a newbie gift package to kill zombies."
System: "Complete the task of killing zombies and get a newbie gift package."
He said: "I am unarmed, how can I kill zombies? Why don't you give me a newbie gift package and give me some equipment?"
System: "If you kill the zombies, won't you get a gift package for newbies?"
He sighed, no longer wasting his efforts, and as for this system, he just pretended that he had not survived.
However, the zombies outside the door still have to be dealt with. After all, he can't get supplies at all now. If this continues, the remaining rice will be eaten up.
When that time comes, it will really be a dead end. Therefore, he wanted to kill the zombies outside the door while he still had physical strength, and then find another way out.
After so many days, he no longer had any hope of rescue from the country.
Because in the past few days, first the signal disappeared completely, then the power was cut off, and finally even the water was cut off.
So, although he doesn't know what the situation is like outside now. But he knew that if he continued to stay here, he would really be waiting to die.
He looked at the sky. It should be afternoon now. Although he didn't know the specific time, it was getting a little dark and it was probably going to be night soon.
At night, the zombies would remain motionless as if they were asleep. Then, it will be his chance.
This is the conclusion he came to after observing the zombies downstairs for so many days.
He has not been idle for so many days, and has done many experiments on the zombies downstairs.
After the chaos caused by the zombie outbreak on the first day, those still alive went into hiding. After losing their target, the zombies began to wander the streets.
Fortunately, the place where he lives is adjacent to an industrial area and was demolished last year, so many nearby tenants have moved away, resulting in not many people living in this place.
Therefore, there are not many zombies. Even if there were, they were locked up in the factory.
Those zombies roam the streets during the day and remain stationary at night.
But there is one exception, and that is sound, to which they are extremely sensitive.
No matter day or night, if they hear any sound, they will immediately notice it and attack.
Most importantly, they can hear even the smallest sound.
He once did an experiment and dropped a ball of cotton from upstairs.
As a result, when the ball of cotton fell lightly to the ground, it still triggered attacks from several zombies.
Later, he tried throwing two objects of different weights at the same time, but found that the zombies attacked in order. They will attack the first one to the ground first, but will soon switch to attack the second one to the ground, ignoring the first one.
If you want to kill the zombies outside the door, you will definitely need the cooperation of the neighbor. However, after so many days, he didn't know if the stewardess next door was starving to death.
So he knocked on the wall.
As a result, not only did this not elicit a response from the flight attendant, it actually attracted the zombies and knocked on his door.
He simply risked his life and shouted loudly, "Stewardess next door, are you still alive? If you are alive, just say something."
After a while, the flight attendant's weak voice rang out, "Yes, what's the matter?"
Hearing the flight attendant's voice, the zombie ran to the next door and knocked on the door again.
He was now completely sure that the zombies would follow the sound and attack, so he shouted directly, "I have a plan to kill the zombies outside, but I need your cooperation."
The zombies came back again.
The flight attendant's anxious voice sounded, "Why, how can we cooperate?"
He said directly, "Then you just need to keep making noises in the house. You don't have to do anything."
The stewardess asked again, "But as soon as I spoke, she kept knocking on my door. I was so scared."
He sighed, "Then do you want to continue like this until you starve to death, or do you want to give it a try?"
After a while, the stewardess said, "Okay, okay. But first, I won't open the door under any circumstances."
He nodded, "You don't have to open the door, just make some noise. The louder the better."
While the two of them were chatting, the zombie kept changing targets.
After Li Wending finished speaking, the stewardess didn't answer, the zombies didn't knock on the door, and there was a moment of silence.
Just when he thought the flight attendant was silently rejecting him, there was a sudden sound of knocking on a pot next door, which quickly attracted the zombie.
For a moment, the sound of pot knocking and knocking on the door mixed together to form an ensemble. At the same time, the zombies downstairs also looked up and made "ho ho" sounds.
Taking advantage of this gap, he began to carefully move the debris behind the door.
After all, he doesn't have the means to kill zombies through the door, so if he wants to kill the zombie, he must open the door.
As soon as he lifted the table, it accidentally rubbed against the ground and made a "squeak" sound.
For a moment, he stopped breathing and raised his ears to listen to the movement behind the door.
After discovering that the zombie was still attracted by the sound next door and did not come over, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. It seems that zombies are attracted to louder noises.
Then, he continued to move it, but after that he became more careful and didn't make any noise.
After moving, he directly pressed his body against the door, and then shouted in a low voice, "I'm almost ready now. After I finish speaking, you don't need to knock anymore. It's still some time before dark, wait until After it gets completely dark, I will knock on the wall as a signal, and then you can continue knocking on the basin to attract the zombies' attention. You don't have to worry about the rest."
After he finished speaking, he held the door tightly because he didn't know if shouting like this would attract zombies.
Fortunately, the zombies didn't come over, so he didn't have to worry about them breaking in after a while.
After hearing his words, the stewardess knocked for a while and then stopped.
However, the zombie seemed to be targeting the stewardess, so it still knocked on the door and did not stop.
He breathed a sigh of relief and then waited for dark.
He sat on the ground with his back against the door, quietly waiting for nightfall. When the time comes, he will fight the zombies to the death.
As both he and the stewardess fell silent, the only sound left was the zombie's knocking on the door, one after another, as if knocking on their hearts.
