Chapter 72
Chapter 72 – Brown Loli Amine 2
The owner of the airship, the brown loli queen, was ecstatic as she obtained the right to purchase the bag made by Luca. As a man I could not help but wonder, “It’s just a bag, why is she so happy?”
“Now, what do you desire from me? Of course, you being her boyfriend gives you the right to have a say as well,” she said.
Huh? Even though it had nothing to do with me, I was suddenly asked and became confused. Furthermore, Luca consented by nodding along.
“Um, I respectfully decline,” I answered.
“That’s too bad! However, this concerns my reputation. Crazy Bear, can you lend us your wisdom?”
“Leave it to me. Partner, let’s make an ID,” Crazy Bear answered.
Amine was surprised by Crazy Bear’s words. More precisely, the crew members brought here seemed to have the most reaction. Yes, I was a suspicious person who was unemployed and living in an inn, have a problem with that?
“Don’t you have it with you?” Amine-sama asked.
“No, I used to have an adventurer guild card, but it was crushed by the guild master,” I replied.
She looked at me with pity in her eyes.
“I see, let’s do this intead. Moreover, this one… has a magnificent perk,” she said.
“Perk?” I asked and looked at the medal that was handed over to me.
“It’s a divine craftsman medal. Listen and be amazed. Show it at the store and your drink will be free,” she said.
I looked at the lolibaba, who proudly stuck out her chest, and couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
“Oh, well, thank you,” I said.
“What’s with that meager reaction? A dwarf would be crying with joy,” she said.
As someone who didn’t drink alcohol, this was a disappointing medal for me.
Luca tugged at my sleeve excitedly and showed me a medal that was exactly the same as mine.
“Aix, matching medals!”
“Yes, thank you Amine-sama.”
We were both promoted to matching medals.
As I thanked her, Amine-sama smiled and made an unexpected invitation.
“By the way, do you two have any plans for later? How about listening to music together here? On this ship?”
“Inside this ship? Don’t we have to go to listen to it?” I asked.
I wondered if she was going to use some kind of special magic tool.
“What are you talking about? I don’t see any reason for me to go out of my way to go somewhere. I can just call them here.”
“Ugh, is this what rich people think?”
But I was grateful in the end, as I had never imagined being able to enjoy music with Luca. I would have to thank to the country’s economic power.
“Follow me.”
When moving to the back deck, there was a large space with a long sofa placed in the center, serving as a special stage.
“Um, there’s only one sofa?”
“Well, it’s not a problem for me since I’m small. Sit down already.”
Tiptoeing to the edge, Amine-sama sat down. I tried to sit on the opposite end, but it was taken by the shy Luca.
So, I ended up sitting in the middle between the two girls, feeling a little nervous.
The crew brought drinks and snacks in a wagon for us, so we decided to have lunch here.
“Let’s enjoy ourselves. Cheers!”
“Cheers!”
Amine-sama had whiskey while we had fresh juice. The sweet and refreshing taste ran down our throats. This must be an expensive one.
A woman holding a flute appeared.
“It’s been a year, Amine-sama. Nice to meet you, all. First song, Moonlit Flowers. Enjoy.”
One performer after another showcased their music and circus skills. In between, we laughed and enjoyed their witty talks, and time flew by in no time.
“This seems to be our last performer for today. See you again next year.”
We applauded the last orchestra as they bowed, and silence fell upon us. The world was slowly painted in the color of twilight.
“That was fun! I can still feel the excitement coursing through my body.”
“Thank you for the enjoyable time today, Amine-sama. It’s about time we go back to our tent.” (Aix)
“Hmm? Don’t want to stay overnight? No need to hesitate. My airship is way more comfortable than the shoddy tents.”
Crazy Bear latched onto that proposal.
“Hey! Don’t talk nonsense, my partner’s tent is even more impressive than this.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, it’s just norma tent. Besides, it’s set up outside of town. Crazy Bear, can you please be quiet?”
The inside of that ghost house is nothing special, it’s just like a cheap inn.
“Duh. Enlightenment don’t work on either of them. This is why dumb people are troublesome. Luca-sensei, which side are you on?”
Luca nodded confidently.
The judgment is…
Huh? Don’t look at me like that. I shouldn’t lose the trust level to Crazy Bear. But to think if it, I myself I used Crazy Bear’s commercial guild card. So I have a trust issue indeed.
“Hahaha, it seems like it’s time for the airship’s turn. I will send you through the sky, so you can show me a tent that’s even better than the one I’ve arranged for you.”
Luca nodded and preparations began hastily.
The voice of a sharp operator resounded through the ship’s loudspeaker.
“We will now begin takeoff. Everyone, hold onto something nearby. 3, 2, 1, anchor cutoff!”
The next moment, a soft sensation hit.
As the sound of the anchor being cut off rang out, the floor was separated from the ground! The floor and the ground gradually started to move away.
“Wow, this is so much fun!”
“This is amazing, partner!”
Crazy Bear and I were having a blast, while Luca, who seemed scared, hugged me with a bright red face.
“This is the technology of the dwarves.”
Amine-sama, who didn’t seem dissatisfied at all. Even the crew looked proud.
“It’s amazing, Amine-sama.”
“Hahaha. The charm of the dwarves is not their looks or money, but their technology! Even a potato farmer can win over a dwarf woman by making great magical tools.”
“Amine-sama, raise the flag.”
The sides of the airship were made of glass, offering a great view of the festive town below.
How many people must have seen this view? The colorful lights of the tents on the ground were beautiful from above.
Cruising over the town as it slowly sank into the night, time flowed quietly and richly.
Just as they were enjoying the afterglow of the moving experience they had just had…
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The alarm sounded and Luca and Amine flinched together.
“Alert level 3! All personnel, prepare for combat. I repeat, alert level 3! This is not a drill. Captain Amine, please come to the control room immediately.”
The announcement echoed through the ship, accompanied by the sound of people hurrying and a tense atmosphere.
Following Amine as she ran ahead, we entered the control room. We listened closely to the intense conversation.
“What’s going on!?”
“Amine-sama, we have spotted an unknown enemy castle ahead!”
“Damn, the demon lord. This may be another country’s airspace, but we can’t just let them pass. Any sign of enemy presence?”
“There are currently no enemies. It’s eerily silent.”
Oh, wait…
That thing…
“I’m sorry, but we couldn’t land at the planned location. Your tent may have been swallowed up by that demon castle.”
“Hurry and apply a shield enchantment to the hull!”
My stomach began to twist and turn, but I had to speak up.
“Um, excuse me. That castle over there is our destination.”
“What do you mean??”
I was met with a frightened expression.
Oh no. I had drawn all the attention inside the ship.
The atmosphere froze.
“Well, Luca and Crazy Bear made it. I helped a little too.”
“Luca-sensei! …Not content with just fashion and leatherworking, to build a castle in just a few days…what incredible technical prowess!”
Amine and the crew looked at Luca with reverence. Some even knelt down.
I watched Luca struggling, feeling warm inside.
“Disengage combat mode. The unidentified object ahead has been identified as an ally, so resume normal navigation at this time. Over.”
We landed in the airship next to the fake castle and ghost house.
“We’re back.”
