Chapter 4 p1
Chapter 4
“Gun-ha.”
While on their way to meet with officials from GH Entertainment, Director Yang Hyun-woo suddenly asked.
“Did you change your makeup?”
“What?”
“You look a bit different, don’t you? The atmosphere… How should I put it… It feels a bit calmer? You’ve become quite handsome, I believe.”
Director Yang furrowed his brow and scrutinized him from head to toe.
Slowly scanning Gun-ha from top to bottom, Director Yang stroked his chin before shaking his head.
“You should have worn makeup like this a long time ago. It’s much better.”
“Is it? It looks the same as usual.”
“No, it’s not….”
Director Yang’s eyes never left his.
“It’s weird, it’s so different from your usual…. What is it? You look so handsome.”
The effect of the Stat is definitely visible.
If they can’t take their eyes off him like this after seeing his face almost every day, it must be an even bigger impact on other people.
It will also make a good impression with the other entertainment officials.
“Should I go back to the CEO now? I can’t let you leave here.”
“Director, you know it’s not funny for someone who’s already been kicked out to go back and ask to be taken back in.”
“Haha, that’s true.”
It was nice of them to be so nice, but there was no reason for him to stay in MAE.
A longtime trainee who hadn’t been able to make a debut.
He doesn’t think his position in MAE would change even if he became handsome.
Director Yang probably didn’t sound serious either.
“At this rate, I’ll have to rely on Senior Choi.”
*Muttering*
Director Yang muttered in a low, almost inaudible voice.
It seemed they still felt it was a waste to let Gun-ha go.
“Don’t be nervous.”
Director Yang patted his back.
Yang seemed to regret this situation, as if he wanted Gun-ha to make his debut at MAE.
“I’ve explained your strengths well, you just need to appeal to them.”
As for Yoon Gun-ha’s strengths, it was.
Hard work.
A practice bug who never misses a single day.¹
That’s probably the main positive influence.
Director Yang must also be aware of it.
That no matter how much he practiced, he couldn’t properly demonstrate his capabilities.
That’s why he was informed that he wouldn’t be able to continue with the agency.
Knowing that, wouldn’t they have emphasized hard work more when recommending him to other agencies?
“I realize that hard work alone is not enough, so I’m going to take a different weapon.”
“Another weapon?”
He snickered.
“You’ll know it when you see it.”
With Yang Hyun-woo cocking his head, they arrived at the office where the representatives from GH Enter were waiting for them.
Naturally, there were no other Yoon Gun-ha.²
One middle-aged man with a square jaw and high-prescription glasses, making a strong impression.
“Long time no see, Director Yang. Is this the friend you mentioned? Nice to meet you. I’m the CEO of GH Entertainment, Choi Kang-hoon.”
A sharp-looking man with dark circles under his eyes and an unkempt goatee covering his chin.
“I’m Hwang Yi-seo, the producer of GH Idol Team 1.”
They introduced themselves as officials from GH Enter.
“Hello. My name is Yoon Gun-ha.”
“Yoon Gun-ha. Not a bad name.”
As he bowed deeply, CEO Choi Kang-hoon scrutinized him appraisingly.
Contrary to his unassuming appearance, his upturned eyes glared at him fiercely.
Gun-ha didn’t expect the CEO to come in person.
He wonders if it’s that urgent.
If not, is it simply because of their relationship with Director Yang?
He couldn’t know that much.
What is important to him is.
[Sub-quest: Convince the officials of GH Entertainment that you are an idol worthy of making a debut].
[Failure: Deletion of ‘Yoon Gun-ha’ character]
[Reward: 2 Open Mileage]
This was to prove to them that he was an idol worthy of debut.
If he couldn’t get past these people, it was clear that his journey would end here.

“Hwang, what do you think?”
CEO Choi Kang-hoon of GH Entertainment asked the accompanying producer, Hwang Yi-seo.
“The first impression is good. He’s handsome, and his face is charming.”
Hwang Yi-seo’s eyes, heavily shadowed by dark circles from frequent overtime work, lit up at the sight.
This guy understands.
The scent of success emanating from this friend.
“Right? I’m feeling it right now. This kid has the potential to be great.”
Choi Kang-hoon trusted his gut feeling every time he debuted an idol.
People who knew him scoffed at his choices as too haphazard, but Choi Kang-hoon’s picks were usually right on the money.
That’s because the team he formed with those he thought would succeed became ‘Monsters,’ known as the best idol group in Korea.
Choi Kang-hoon felt a similar sensation from the young man in front of him as he did from those boys at that time.
‘Did he say his name was Yoon Gun-ha?’
‘He has the makings of a star.’
He liked it.
The junior director, Yang, was begging him to take a look at the young man, so he decided to come over.
He wondered how much potential this raw talent had for Director Yang to plead so earnestly.
‘Isn’t that enough for MAE?”
He’s exceptional from the start.
Someone might ask how he could know without seeing him dance or sing yet.
The first thing that comes to mind is his looks.
-By Idol standards, he’s pretty average looking.
Maybe it was because he had lowered his expectations after hearing Director Yang describe him as ordinary.
‘At MAE, they’d probably think someone of his caliber is ordinary.’
It’s the largest idol agency in Korea.
But Choi Kang-hoon was more fascinated by the way Gun-ha’s eyes looked at him than anything else.
Eyes that looked like they could do anything.
Those deep, sparkling eyes full of confidence were similar to those belonging to the members of the so called ‘Monsters’.
He hoped that the certainty he felt was also shared by the producer, Hwang Yi-seo, who had come with him.
“He’s handsome in a way, but you can’t debut with just one’s face, right?”
“That’s true. But wouldn’t he be teachable?”
“No, we don’t have much time. If he doesn’t meet the standards, we need to cut him loose.”
The casting process is entirely under Hwang Yi-seo’s supervision.
After all, Hwang Yi-seo is producing GH Entertainment’s debut group.
“You said you’re Gun-ha, right?”
“That’s right.”
“Let’s keep the introductions short. I want to see how serious you are about becoming an idol, but can you sing?”
“Yes, I can.”
“Good, then let’s hear it.”

Singing.
Of course he knew there would be a test.
Thus, he had a song in his mind.
‘I’m nervous.’
The thought of actually having to sing made his heart race.
What should he sing?
He thought for a long time.
But no matter how much he searched, he couldn’t find any songs he recognized from this world.
There were no groups or famous songs from his original world either.
In a very few cases, he saw songs with similar chords.
For example, a song with a verse similar to Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”.
And there were dance songs with similar chords to songs by famous idols.
The moment he saw this, he was convinced that it was a completely different world.
But he couldn’t sing the songs that Yoon Gun-ha sang in this world.
‘Rather than trying to sing just any song, it’s better to sing the song I know best.’
There was one song he could handle, even with a limited vocal range.
A song that still sticks in his head today.
