Chapter 14-2
Duke Adelaira’s Mansion, Family head’s room.
Yenid entered the room after confirming that Sion and Hanette had returned to the mansion.
Robbins was looking through the files while tilting his glass of alcohol in front of the table.
Yenid moved her footsteps lightly and sat on the chair after a while.
“Hubby, the two just came back.”
“Do they seem to get along well?”
“It seems a little different.”
“… A little?”
Robbins finally took his eyes off the files and showed his curiosity.
Yenid had been checking the two’s state since Sion entered the mansion.
It was something she could have asked the maid to do, but this time Yenid had to intervene herself.
“Sion seems to have adapted well to this lifestyle here.”
“That’s good news. How about Hanette?”
“She seems to be smiling more often lately.”
“Often? Is it a hunch, or does it clearly show?”
“It’s more like a hunch.”
“Hmm…”
Robbins pondered with his chin resting on his hand.
Yenid’s hunch was often accurate, but he couldn’t completely trust it.
It was just a hunch, and there was no clear evidence.
Of course, it had some value to refer to, so it couldn’t be completely ignored.
“Is there anything else?”
“She seems to have calmed down a bit.”
“Is that also intuition?”
“No. I felt that for sure.”
“… Is that a good thing?”
“She’s probably just conscious of Sion.”
When humans experience a change in their emotions, they tend to behave differently than usual. Acting intentionally and acting unconsciously.
Instinctively, Yenid realized that Hanette’s reaction belonged to the latter category.
“So that means… something must have happened at that time?”
“I don’t think so. She probably just took off her clothes, or Sion helped her a little.”
“Was there no other trace?”
“No, there wasn’t. They just seemed to have a private conversation.”
“That’s not a bad thing either. It means they’ve gotten closer. That’s probably why they went to see Lord Laird together.”
Robbins lifted his glass with a sense of relief.
If this state could be maintained, they could have a safe wedding ceremony. Of course, if they were to tie the knot for sure, but Hanette had to be more active.
‘We’re almost there. We should be able to finish within three months.’

Residence of the Duke Adelaira, 3rd floor hallway.
As Hanette exits the room, she glances to the side.
Lately, every time she went outside, she seemed to check Sion’s room frequently.
But she didn’t know why, and it was a subconscious action, so it wasn’t easy to fix even if she tried.
“What did he go out for?”
Hanette wonders, changing her footsteps.
Sion hurriedly left after finishing breakfast this morning.
He said he would be back soon, but he didn’t tell his destination.
‘I don’t know where he’s going. I’ll wait and maybe go to the casino…’
But then Hanette feels uncomfortable as she encounters someone.
It was an unpleasant sight, and she didn’t want to talk to the person.
But the person always talked to her, and now she didn’t even want to hear her voice.
“Going to waste more money? It must be nice to have so much money.”
Tena Adelaira, the third daughter of the Adelaira family, approached her with a sneer.
Hanette tried to pass by quickly, but she ended up saying something she shouldn’t have.
“You got engaged to the Marquis’s son? Good for you. It’s MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. Because he too is a incompetent, just like you.”
Hanette glared at Tena with a cold gaze.
Her magic power within slowly began to surge.
The thought of wanting to kill her filled her mind, but reason held back her emotions.
“I got engaged to a pretty decent guy, right? even if he’s a count’s son…” – Tena
“Hey. Just because you have an ugly face, don’t make fun of others. He have looks to offer unlike you.” – Hanette
“What? Isn’t the truth? I treated to well because your age…. Why are you getting so angry?” – Tena
Tena looks around in surprise.
She felt a sudden heat rising from somewhere within her body.
Hanette takes a slow step forward, his amber eyes flashing.
“…Don’t insult my fiancé in front of me. If you whine one more time, I’ll rip your mouth apart. Got it?” – Hanette
