I Am Hades, Lord of the Underworld!

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Considering the Possibility of Raising a Seven-Headed Ten-Horned Red Dragon

The Seven-Headed Ten-Horned Red Dragon.

According to the Book of Revelation, during the Apocalypse, a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns will appear, seeking to devour the child born to a woman clothed with the sun. Ultimately, this dragon is cast down to earth by angels and bound in chains, thrown into the bottomless pit.

But in reality?!

Well, the truth is somewhat different.

This Apocalyptic Red Dragon is actually a conglomeration of the world's darkest and most chaotic energies, born from the accumulation of countless negative emotions like darkness, chaos, and madness since the world's inception. As the world nears its end, the Apocalyptic Red Dragon emerges to bring about its destruction.

What puzzled Hades was that the Greek Pantheon's Mythological World was still in its prime!

Since the era of the Ancient Gods who created the world, it has transitioned through the Golden Age led by the Titans, the future Silver Age ruled by the three generations of gods, and now the Heroic Age that follows the Silver Age, leading into the Bronze Age.

In summary.

The Greek Pantheon's Mythological World is currently robust, only in its second major stage of development. How could an Apocalyptic Red Dragon be gestating at this time? Something about this timing felt fundamentally off.

"Lord Hades!" Mephistopheles, after examining the tightly bound Apocalyptic Red Dragon, finally spoke. "This entity's origins seem highly unusual, but…"

Despite being a Titan Chief God, Mephistopheles felt out of his depth. His knowledge, though vast, didn't extend to nurturing or understanding an entity as catastrophic as the Apocalyptic Red Dragon.

Hades was undeterred. He quietly observed the situation, allowing his divine power to seep into the dragon's form, delving deeper into its being.

Under normal circumstances, such probing would be impossible. However, Hades was the natural Lord of the Underworld, and the Abyss was part of the Hell domain. This unique alignment allowed him to perform what others couldn't.

As time passed, Hades' exploration revealed more of the Abyss and the burgeoning Apocalyptic Red Dragon within it. Its immense body, almost rivaling the size of an entire world, was gradually forming, along with its other six heads, still in development.

Probing deeper, Hades discovered remnants that did not belong to this world—pieces of a shattered dragon egg. Studying these fragments, he began to piece together a plausible theory and withdrew his divine sense, contemplating the newfound information.

"Once…" Hades mused silently, "What exactly transpired here?"

The Apocalyptic Red Dragon was clearly not a native entity of this mythological world. The broken egg fragments suggested it originated from elsewhere, drifting into this world by chance and integrating itself into the Abyss, using it as a nurturing ground.

As for why the Apocalyptic Red Dragon had only recently started to emerge? Initially, the Greek Pantheon's Mythological World had nothing but the eight Ancient Gods. For such an entity to grow, it needed sustenance, which the eight Ancient Gods alone couldn't provide.

This was the crux. As Kronos took over and the world entered a period of rapid development, conditions changed. The Abyss, becoming a dumping ground for exiled gods under Kronos, provided the perfect nutrients for the dragon's growth.

Of course.

These were just Hades' hypotheses. The true core and details of what happened remained uncertain, but his conjectures offered a workable understanding. Delving deeper into the mystery might yield more answers.

"Mephistopheles."

Hearing Hades' call, Mephistopheles immediately bowed. "Yes, Lord Hades, how may I serve?"

Hades asked calmly, "Mephistopheles, how feasible is it to tame a Seven-Headed Ten-Horned Red Dragon?"

The question was so surprising that Mephistopheles was momentarily stunned. What? This was an Apocalyptic Red Dragon! And Hades was contemplating taming it?

Mephistopheles, despite his extensive experience as a demon and later a demon god, found himself taken aback by Hades' audacious idea. He had thought he had seen it all, but Hades' ambition to tame such a creature was beyond bold.

"Is it impossible?" Hades asked again, his tone even.

Mephistopheles quickly responded with deference, "Lord Hades, I am not certain. After all…"

Mephistopheles trailed off, unsure how to proceed. No one had ever considered taming an Apocalyptic Red Dragon. These dragons typically appeared only at the end of a mythological world, not before, making such a task unprecedented and uncharted territory.

This…

No one knew how to tackle this! Clearly, Mephistopheles was at a loss for words, realizing the sheer scope of what Hades was contemplating.

For a moment, Hades pondered silently. The idea of raising a Seven-Headed Ten-Horned Red Dragon was undoubtedly daunting.

Typically, these dragons only emerged during a world's apocalypse. By then, the world was already ending, leaving no one to tame or control such a force. It was simply not a realistic scenario.

However, from Hades' perspective, while it seemed wildly improbable and even absurd, there was a high chance of success. Given that the dragon was already gestating here, it meant something had shifted in its typical nature. There were numerous potential methods to control it, as long as one knew how to harness and guide its development.

As Hades contemplated this challenge, Mephistopheles watched silently, unsure of how to assist. He stood ready, but Hades' thoughts often led into realms of possibility and audacity that few could follow.
