Chapter 5: Mc Vs blanket
With the Soft morning light filtering through the ornate curtains, I found myself cradled in a luxurious crib, far more elegant than anything I had ever seen. The delicate woodwork was polished to a gleam, and the bedding was plush, adorned with intricate patterns that whispered of opulence.
From somewhere beyond the edge of my crib, a gentle, rhythmic sound reached my ears—the unmistakable sound of snoring. Curious, I turned my gaze to the right, where I discovered my "mom," Kikyo Zoldyck, nestled into an equally regal bed. It was a sight that took my breath away; her bed was a masterpiece of design, opulent and grand.
After looking around the room for a little bit more, I tried to shift into a more comfortable position, but to my surprise, I couldn't move, my blanket was way too heavy for me to move, It seemed to weigh at least 3kg!
As I lay there, struggling to move the heavy blanket that enveloped me, an abrupt sound pierced the silence.
"Ding! The system has detected a notable sign-in location: Zoldyck's family mansion."
The unexpected notification caught my attention, and before I could react, another chime followed.
"Ding! Host, the system has identified an available sign-in. Would you like to proceed with the sign-in?"
A flicker of hope sparked within me. "Yes," I responded without hesitation.
"And if I'm lucky, I might just score something that can help me wriggle out from under this suffocating blanket, If that doesn't work, I may have to resort to my eight inner-gates technique. However, I'm uncertain of its effectiveness for me at this stage, as it supposedly stimulates something known as "nen flow." The truth is, I have doubts about whether I've fully developed that ability yet."
The atmosphere around me shifted, charged with anticipation as the system processed my request. "Generating sign-in rewards..."
"Ding! Congratulations, host! You have received the ability of Instant Transmission from Dragon Ball."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Instant Transmission? That sounds powerful. System, please elaborate on what this ability entails."
"Affirmative, host. Instant Transmission allows you to teleport to any location you've set your mind to in the blink of an eye," the system explained, its tone brimming with enthusiasm.
"However, there is a key restriction: you can only teleport to places you've previously visited. Beyond travel, this technique shines in combat, enabling you to evade attacks and catch opponents off guard."
A grin broke across my face as I considered the possibilities. "Are there any downsides?"
"Indeed," the system continued, "the use of this skill drains a significant amount of stamina."
Feeling the stirrings of excitement, I thought, My luck seems to be in full swing! With renewed determination, I gripped the heavy blanket with both hands. In a flash, I activated the Instant Transmission, teleporting myself—and the blanket—straight to the floor.
I then Teleported back into my crib, victorious and free from the weight that had pinned me down, I felt empowered by this newfound ability, ready to explore what lay beyond the confines of my current predicament, but before that, I needed to rest a bit, that skill took a lot out of me.
