"You dared to release my prey. Do you really think I won't kill you?"

With a swift motion, Rui's hand conjured threads of silk that shot towards Hakua and Blitz.

"Bloody Demon Technique‧Engraved Line Prison!"

The steel-like threads ensnared their targets, capable of slicing through flesh with ease. Even Hakua, attempting to fight back, found his efforts thwarted by a sudden surge of powerful magic that shattered the threads. In the next moment, a figure materialised before them.

"Altair, step aside. This is my business!" Rui glared angrily at Altair, clearly unwilling to be stopped. But Altair stood firm, brandishing a saber in warning.

"I don't care about your race, but you must follow the rules of this world. Otherwise, don't expect mercy," Altair warned sternly.

Rui, silenced by Altair's threat, could only shoot a furious look at Hakua before delivering a final, chilling remark. "I won't forget this. Don't give me a reason, or I'll devour you whole!"

Hakua responded defiantly with a rude gesture, making his lack of fear clear.

As Rui departed, hunger gnawed at him. It seemed today, he would go hungry.
