Chapter 220: Chapter 217 - The Spark of Chaos (4)
At dawn, in the Slytherin Men's Dormitory.
Inside the room, Asterion and Daphne were naked in bed, only the messy sheet covering some parts of their nakedness, although it didn't cover much, just her buttocks and the part around his waist.
Daphne lay on Asterion's chest as she listened to Asterion's words. Her face was able to darken, not with anger or any murderous feeling, just with sadness and resentment.
"Another war?" Daphne asked, her voice full of incredulity. She shuddered to think of the caliber of the war that was approaching, it was a war totally different from what she had experienced in the Hogwarts Attacks. It was a war involving entire countries, armies of thousands of wizards and witches on a battlefield.
"Why?" Running a hand through her hair, Daphne asked herself with a confused look, her eyes fixed on her fiancé's red eyes. Was it too much to ask for a few years' rest? She just wanted to live her life in peace while organizing her wedding calmly, but instead, fate seemed to throw her into a bloody storm.
"It doesn't matter why, Daphne. War will come regardless of any reason." He hugged her, comforting her as he gently kissed her hair, smelling the soft scent of her shampoo. Asterion looked at Daphne shakily and couldn't help but think that this was the expression a teenager should have when hearing that a world war was getting closer and closer.
"You're going to war, aren't you?" Daphne asked, her voice tinged with reluctance to see him go off to war. Even though she didn't want to think the worst, she still couldn't help but think of something happening to him, or worse, the news of his death. It scared her to death. Regardless of the training she had received from an early age, at this moment, she was no different from any other teenager.
"We're going to war." Asterion corrected his fiancée, although he had wanted Daphne to stay in England, but for the sake of her growing strength, he had preferred to bring her. When it came to her safety, he wasn't worried, if she was in danger, the Special Grade Cursed Spirit would protect her at all times.
Daphne, who had expected to stay in England on her future husband's orders, couldn't help but look at Asterion with a shocked but very happy look on her face. She would rather go to war with him than stay behind as a pretty trophy for him to admire. She knew very well that a long marriage wasn't about love or passion, but companionship and trust.
"I thought you were going to leave me behind. I'd be devastated if you told me to stay in England, I'd hate myself for being so weak that you didn't want me by your side." Daphne commented, burying her gourd in Asterion's chest as she smelled his scent next to her own on his body.
She didn't like to admit it, but she was always envious of Rose's talent, the girl was what many people dreamed of at the tender age of fourteen. The Special Grade was everyone's dream, but it came to Rose so naturally that you'd be envious. How could anyone not envy a talent like that?
Fortunately, Asterion planned to take her to the battlefield, she preferred that to being locked up in a mansion like a princess trapped in another tower waiting for Prince Charming.
"Let's go to sleep, you must be tired after so much effort." Asterion said, tenderly kissing Daphne's forehead, who nodded and turned away.
Asterion put his arm across the hollow of Daphne's modest, naked breasts as he hugged her from behind, bringing her into the warmth and comfort of his arms.
Suddenly, Asterion's closed eyes snapped open, his red eyes couldn't help but reflect a disdain in his gaze, sensing the little mouse that had infiltrated Hogwarts.
"I've been waiting for you, you filthy mouse."
-
In the Gryffindor Men's Dormitories.
On the bed, the red-haired teenager slept peacefully while next to the bed, on the dresser, a mouse lying on the pillows opened its eyes. The creature's cunning little eyes scanned the room and quickly located the exit. With its small, inaudible footsteps, the mouse squeaked and quickly moved.
Crossing the room at speeds almost impossible for any other rodent, its small body quickly jumped off the dresser and walked across the wooden floor as it crossed under the bed. It ignored the suspicious magazines under the teenagers' bed and reached the door.
Surprisingly, the mouse managed to open the door just by looking at it, but if an experienced wizard or witch had been present, they would have noticed the slight wave of magical energy.
Leaving the room, the mouse wasted no time and quickly made its way through the corridors of Hogwarts with its crafty little eyes. Always looking at the paintings on the walls, any movement of the Animated Portraits would stop him and he wouldn't move, even his breathing had ceased completely. It seemed almost like a process of hibernation, but it was being done by a mouse.
When the Memories in the Animated Portrait left and went to other paintings, the mouse would walk back without any hesitation, quickly disappearing into the dark shadows of the walls.
Peter Pettigrew walked through the shadows in his Animagus form listening to murmurs and anything else he could hear at the moment. He was on a mission, a mission for Organization R, as for the content of the mission, he had only to free a certain being sealed beneath Hogwarts.
As freeing this being wasn't something he needed to worry about, the Organization had already sent him the item to help him on this mission. At first he didn't want to accept such a risky mission, but remembering the Unbreakable Vow he had made when he joined the Organization, he had no choice and after fourteen years of hiding he came out of his disguise.
Peter didn't know it, but there wasn't just one pair of eyes staring at him in the shadows, but two pairs of eyes. Asterion, Dumbledore. They both stared at the mouse moving through the corridors of Hogwarts with cold, murderous gazes. The only reason they didn't kill the traitor was because they wanted to see how Organization R would cancel the seal made by Merlin himself. They also wanted to know who the traitors at Hogwarts were
Whether it was Asterion or Dumbledore, when they learned that someone would try to remove the seal from Albion, they didn't let their guard down for a moment and put numerous security measures in place in the corridors of Hogwarts; if before the castle was difficult to attack from the inside, now it was even more difficult.
Asterion in particular left Morgan herself guarding the resting place of the huge white lizard, he really wanted to see who would dare remove Albion's seal with its prototype God guarding it. Of course, he hadn't put Morgan there just to guard it, but also to complete the Second Stage of God's Creation Plan.
Morgan was analyzing Albion's existence the whole time he was guarding it. After all, the last of the world's most powerful species was a rare specimen for study, knowledge of which Asterion would not give up.
Poor Peter didn't know any of this at the time and thought he was very safe, unaware that two pairs of eyes were staring at him from the shadows.
"What do you think it is? It would have to be something on the level of the Hogwarts Core to cause damage to Merlin's seal." Asterion, wearing simple pants and a white shirt asked, looking at the small mouse walking through the shadows.
"I have no idea, but it must be something ancient. And to know that something like that got into Hogwarts without me noticing makes me very angry." Dumbledore replied, his voice devoid of any warmth or kindness. Anyone who had their house broken into would be furious, least of all Dumbledore, one of the strongest men in the world.
Asterion nodded, his eyes focused on Peter, a sadistic smile appearing on his lips. "Let's steal the item and return it to the owners as a rather nice present." He whispered to himself, if there was one thing that had been annoying him for a long time, it was Organization R.
Since war was coming, Asterion planned to hold a public execution for almost all the captured members, to reveal the existence of this cursed organization to all the wizards and witches in the world. Although this would form a blood feud impossible to resolve, he no longer cared.
As far as Organization R was concerned, Asterion only harbored murderous feelings towards it, so he no longer cared if it irritated him to the extreme.
