Hp: The Outcast

Chapter 6: Ch.6 Know your History.

I was in my room in my bed. I started off my day with some exercise. Slowly but surely my body was improving. I didn't have that lanky build as before. If someone from the orphanage saw me now. They could have mistaken me for someone else.

After my light exercise I worked up quite the sweat and I wanted to take a shower, but showers are not an option here. So I had to settle with wiping my body with a washcloth. I would take a bath at night. [AN:- I kinda don't know if there was a spell for it or not so I did this and in my opinion this kinda sits well with the whole wizards theme if you will.]

After wiping my body clean, I went downstairs and had some breakfast and also got some food for cotton. I decided to name my snake cotton because it was white and liked to cling to me like cloth. It's sort of weird, but I like it and that's all that matters.

After having breakfast and feeding cotton. I started studying. I have been trying out spells from the first year book and most of them are like basic and easy spells, which is a given. But what was interesting to me was the fact that I was easily able to comprehend Arithmacy and most of the people were right, it is sort of like math.

But some formulas or the theories they used could seem as redundant because no one really has been updating these things. The books reflected the wizarding world, stuck in its ways, refusing to change.

Aside from Arithmacy, runes were sort of like gibberish for me. I could really seem to understand most of it. So I had put it aside for now. I charms, curses and counter curses and was able to perform them without any hitch. I was really liking to study.

But today I was reading something different all together. I had gone through the history of magic. But there were many things in it that were different from what happened in the books or the movies.

In the second war against the Death Eaters under the leadership of the one who must not be named was dominating the ministry and the Aurors. The book also hinted at the  involvement of the secreat order. The order of the Phoenix.

The book described them as a secret society led by a powerful wizard from the light side. It also depicted the three main factions of the wizarding world. The light side apposing the death eaters and led by Dumbledore. The dark faction mostly consisting of the old noble families secretly or not so secretly supporting the dark lord and the Grey faction that kept itself out of the war and mostly profited from it.

The war was seemingly lost. But there was still a hope. A child who could defeat the dark lord. And from there on the story remained somewhat similar. Harry was born. Voldemort went to kill him. But surprisingly, He wasn't all alone.

There was another, a girl her sister. Born on the same day as him. Harry's little sister. When Voldemort went to kill Harry. He and his sister were protected by his grandparents. They gave their lives for them and in a very ridiculous manner. Voldemort was killed in the same way as in the original. With the power of love. After the defeat of Voldemort, Harry was heralded as the savior of the wizarding world.

But that wasn't all, James Potter and Lily Potter were alive as well. Sirius never went to Azkaban, Peter Pettigrew however succumbed to the dark side and was sentenced to Azkaban. Many of the people from the light faction were now revered as heroes.

But there was one name that was of interest to me, Emilia House. My mother, a great Auror and a huge supporter of Dumbledore. She was the main reason why the light side was able to hold back as long as they did. But during the war effort, she went missing and never resurfaced again. Many called her defector, but it didn't add up at all.

The odd thing was that even her own comrades refused to speak of her, and the name of Emilia House was forgotten.

I closed my book, and I was left scratching my head. What the hell did happen to her? I was sure it wasn't something pleasant because she gave birth to me, the son of Voldy. I got up from my desk and placed the book on the nightstand.

I walked up to the window and I opened it. I sighed and said, "It's as I suspected. Things are quite different in this world. I am not sure about anything. Everything just seems blurry to me now.

As I was deep in, though, cotton came out of my sleeve, and she said, "What is it that upsets you?"

I brought my hand closer,  I petted her head gently and said, "I am just worried about the future."

She looked at me and said, "Don't worry if anything bad happens. I will take care of it for you. I am strong now."

I chuckled and said, "Thank you, cotton." I petted her head and smiled. Things are going to get tough now. I am not sure if I will be able to deal with them as I am now.

There were a few days left before I had to leave for school, so I decided to make a few adjustments to my robes, seeing as how cotton liked to hang out in my sleeves. I was hoping to get some custom robes made for myself.

I went out of leaky cauldron and went to Madam Malkin's store with my robes in a bag. I reached her store, and I was greeted by her. She looked at me and said, "Yes, what can I help you with?"

I gave her my bag and said, "I want you to put some runes on my robes."

She looked at me and took my bag and said, "It can certainly be done. Which runes would you like to be added on to them?"

I said, "I want an expansion on my pockets and my sleeves, and I would like if I could control the temperature inside that space. Can it be done?"

She smiled and said, "Yes, it can be done… but it would cost some galleons to do so."

I asked, "How much?"

She shook her head and said, "About 10 Galleons each for the pocket and sleeves."

I handed her 90 Galleons from my pouch, and she looked surprised, and I said, "I would like it to be done quickly"

She smiled and nodded and said, "Will be done, sir. And where do I deliver them?"

I said, "At Leaky Cauldron in room no. 7"

She nodded and said, "Will be done  as soon as possible."

I smiled and nodded and walked out the store. I spend the rest of the evening looking around the shops, but nothing really caught my eye after eating ice creams at the parlor. I made my way back to my room. I had informed the front desk that I wanted a bath, and they placed a large tub in my room filled with warm water.

I stripped and took a long bath and relaxed. After the relaxing bath, I had my dinner in my room and slept a early as always.
