Chapter 4: Pack up and go to school
Although Aphra had a great time, she never forgot Harry Potter.
On July 31st, she came to Privet Drive again.
She asked Mia to go to Gringotts to exchange Muggle currency, and carefully selected her favorite flavor at the cake shop.
No matter what Potter likes to eat, Aphra thinks that cake looks good.
"This, pack it up."
"Twenty pounds."
Avro paused. She didn't know how much twenty pounds was, or whether it was cheap or expensive.
So she calmly tossed a wad of bills and said, "Count them."
The clerk was quite amused by how big a kid she was. After counting the money, the clerk returned the extra money to her and said, "Keep it, kid, and walk slowly."
"Thank you." Avro nodded and walked out of the store carrying the cake.
She didn't find Harry, and after walking along the street, Aphra saw Harry mowing the lawn in a family's garden.
"Hey, Harry." Aphra said through the fence, "Why do you still have to work today?"
Harry felt a little embarrassed, "I have nothing to do..."
Avro frowned, "It's your birthday today, but you're working here?"
Harry immediately became expectant and asked in disbelief, "Do you remember my birthday?"
No one had ever remembered his birthday, and every time Harry calculated in his mind when it would be his birthday.
"Didn't you say that? Of course birthdays should be taken seriously." Avro raised her eyebrows and raised the cake in her hand.
Harry then saw the gift hidden by the flowers, "Is this for me?"
"Yes," Avro hooked her fingers, "You can put down the tools in your hands now and come out to play."
"I...can." Harry pursed his lips and smiled, looked back at the room, then dropped the tools in his hands and slipped out quietly.
The two wandered to an empty place, and Harry carefully opened the cake box.
"Aphro, this cake is too big." Harry said embarrassedly, "We can't finish it."
"Just throw it away if you can't finish it." Avro said nonchalantly.
"Isn't that a waste?" Harry said disapprovingly.
Avro spread his hands and said, "I have eaten it. It has already exerted its value. How can it be called a waste?"
"Well, I can't tell you anything." Harry nodded, feeling envious of her.
It stands to reason that Dudley would be treated like this at home, throwing away things he didn't want, but the feeling between Aphra and him was completely different.
"Then eat more, it's your birthday after all." She stared at Harry, very generous.
Harry stared at the cake, feeling warm in his heart. He felt a lot of unprecedented kindness from her.
"Today is the happiest birthday I've had in ten years, I swear." When Harry finished eating and his belly was bulging, he said with sincerity and satisfaction.
"..." Avro couldn't tell what she was thinking, was she satisfied so easily? Any of her friends or sisters would have to pester her for a long time, asking for this or that before they would give up. "I can still stay with you for a while. Let's go shopping. I'll give you whatever you want."
"Really?" Harry smiled.
"Of course." Avro vowed.
The two hung out for a while, but Harry finally didn't let her buy anything. It was getting late, and Harry reluctantly sent Aphra away.
……
Avro didn't feel too melancholy when she returned home, because she quickly found something more interesting to do.
Mrs. Greengrass took Aphra to Diagon Alley to buy items for the start of school.
"The first one is to buy a magic wand!" Avro said excitedly.
"Okay~" Mom smiled, "I still remember that I had the same expectations back then. So many years have passed in the blink of an eye... In two years, Daphne and Leah will go to school one after another."
"Don't be so sad about spring and autumn, you'll get old." Avro teased her with a smile.
They pushed the door open and Mr. Ollivander looked up from the pile of wands, "Oh... Mrs. Greengrass, will you bring your daughter to choose a wand?"
"Yeah, Avro, go ahead."
Avro walked up to Ollivander and looked around curiously.
"Miss, which hand do you prefer?" "Right hand."
Ollivander measured many sizes, and finally carefully selected one, "Let's try it."
As soon as Avro held it, she felt a sense of joy, and the wand emitted a dazzling white light, "I think it's good."
"Fate, very few wizards can choose the wand of destiny...apple wood, dragon heartstring as the wand core, twelve inches. There are not many holders of apple wood wands, and the power of apple wood wands is very powerful. Especially suitable for people with lofty goals and lofty ideals. People who own applewood wands usually have high charisma.”
Avro was extremely satisfied upon hearing this, "I like it."
"As the core of the wand, the dragon heartstring makes it easier to make a powerful wand, and the spells used will be more gorgeous. Although the dragon heartstring wand itself will not be inclined to black magic, it is the wand that is easiest to turn to black magic." Olivan De continued.
Mrs. Greengrass's face looked a little ugly, but she quickly covered it up and said, "How many galleons?"
"Seven Galleons, take it. Remember, it is the wand that chooses the wizard. You must treat it well."
"Thank you." Avro took the wand with both hands and smiled slightly.
After walking around Diagon Alley, Aphra and her mother were already carrying large and small bags of things. Back at home, the two sisters gathered around Aphra's shopping curiously, and Aphra proudly showed off her wand.
It belonged to her, and the two sisters were not old enough to have wands.
……
Waiting until September 1st, Aphra got on the express to Hogwarts, feeling extremely happy. She said goodbye to her family happily, and after carefully choosing, she opened the door of a compartment.
"Hello, can I sit here?" Avro expected that no one would reject her. After all, she had never been rejected since she was a child.
The boy sitting inside looked dazed, but he was clean and handsome. Compared with the noise in other cubicles, this place looked good.
"Okay." The boy said calmly.
After sitting down, Avro saw the Gryffindor emblem on his chest. She was a little silent for a moment because she didn't see clearly from the side. Forget it... he just looks good.
"My name is Avro Greengrass, and I'm a new student. What about you?" Avro thought for a while and introduced herself.
"Oliver Wood, fourth grade." He nodded, his brown curly hair shaking with his movements, and his gray eyes calm.
The compartment door was pushed open, and there was another Gryffindor, who looked meticulous, had red hair, and was a little serious, "Oliver." He seemed to be familiar with this boy named Oliver.
He was stunned when he saw a girl.
"Hello, Avro Greengrass." Aphra blinked, feeling a little happy in her heart.
Gryffindor isn't bad, the students are pretty handsome.
"Percy Weasley." He nodded, looking a little uncomfortable when he heard her last name.
Avro also fell silent, bad, her choice seemed a bit bad.
