How to Be a Dark Hero’s Daughter

Chapter 218.2

Leticia’s ears turned red.

‘Of course, the Cedric in that world threatened me in some way, but he wasn’t at all forceful.’

It was me who kissed first.

But strangely, when thinking about Cedric from that time, it felt eerie and a bit scary.

“That… the one in the dream wasn’t Cedric. It was another man. He was handsome and said he loved me. But… Anyway. He was a scary man.”

In the end, Leticia vaguely responded.

Then there was a moment.

“Another man?”

Cedric’s smile instantly faded.

“Who was in your dream, no.”

“…”

“In your mind?”

Huh?

Leticia remembered that Cedric’s expression looked somewhat familiar.

‘This expression. This feeling…’

‘If you didn’t adjust human nature, does that mean it’s your true nature?’

Suddenly, Leticia thought so.

“So…”

Leticia swallowed before speaking.

“There was a man who wanted to have me, confine me, and wanted me to see only him. Ha ha…”

“Really?”

Before she knew it, Leticia felt a tree against her back.

Rustle. The leaves rubbing against each other in the wind, and the shadow beneath shaded Cedric’s face. Leticia couldn’t clearly see Cedric’s expression.

“It’s a shame. Can you tell me who it was? I’ll find out.”

“Cedric?”

Leticia looked at Cedric.

“You’re not mad, are you?”

“Of course not.”

“…It was a joke.”

“…”

“Ha ha. Really. Cedric was in my dream. No other man.”

“Then who threatened you?”

“Maybe I got it wrong. I might have confused it with another dream.”

Leticia sidestepped.

“I’ve been having a lot of bad dreams lately.”

Only then did Cedric’s expression slightly relax.

“Really?”

“Of course,” Leticia said.

Cedric slowly smiled.

“Don’t think about anyone else. Got it?”

“Of course!”

“Yes, very good. You’re sweet.”

Cedric looked down at Leticia.

‘Cedric, you’re so tall. I didn’t notice because I always thought of you comfortably.’

A strange suspicion arose in her mind. But…

“Even though it was a bad dream, through it, I felt that I indeed love Cedric. I felt in the dream that I like Cedric.”

Cedric then brightly smiled and embraced Leticia.

“I’m happy, Leticia.”

Leticia nodded.

‘Ah, that’s impossible. Cedric is so kind and gentle, even fragile.’

Leticia thought within Cedric’s embrace.

‘So, there’s no way that Nigel, who followed into my dream, manipulated the memory of ‘Cedric in the dream’ to reveal his true nature. Ha ha, Nigel must be talking nonsense.’

Leticia was convinced.

When it came to her loved ones, Leticia just couldn’t be rational.

‘It’s fine as it is now. We’re affectionate and getting along. That’s what matters.’

Leticia concluded simply.

And Cedric slowly smiled.

‘You’re so naive when it comes to those around you.’

Cedric thought as he held Leticia.

“No one should do that to Leticia.”

Wishing to see you, love you to death, being saddened that the world doesn’t know how amazing, lovable, and perfect you are.

Fearful to even touch you lest you break, not wanting you to see even a hint of the dirty parts of my heart.

Loving you so much that it’s debasing.

‘If another guy looks at her that way, I won’t be able to live.’

Cedric thought.

“I love you, Leticia,” Cedric said this as he held Leticia’s hand.

Leticia laughed lightly, stepping back from Cedric.

“Yes, me too.”

Cedric gazed at Leticia.

Often, he thought if his heart stopped now, he wouldn’t regret it. Because he lived every day trapped in Leticia’s name.

And that was the only, absolute, perfect happiness Cedric had found in the world.

Cedric smiled and kissed Leticia’s cheek. With that, just that alone, he was willing to be her angel forever.

Case Closed.
