Chapter 431: Chapter 431 Professor, do you need help?
"Ah-"
Stepping out of the Room of Requirement, Andy yawned and stretched languorously.
Using the Time-Turner is tiring.
Andy has tried his best to manage his time and has only rewound the clock for a maximum of five hours a day. But even so, Andy finds it a bit hard to bear over time.
Looking at the time, it is only a little after eight in the evening.
Andy wasn't in a hurry to get back to the dormitory, so he took his time and walked to the ground floor, knocking on the door of one of the offices.
Knock, knock, knock!
Creak –
The office door opened, and Andy walked in as if he were at home, closing the door behind him.
"Good evening, Professor Snape," Andy said.
Snape was concentrating on stirring something in a cauldron and didn't even look up at Andy, let alone say anything.
Andy walked up to him and sniffed. "Wolfsbane Potion?"
Snape finally looked up and gave a mocking smile. "Collins... I always thought you were a clever young wizard, but you haven't noticed anything until now."
"You mean Professor Lupin?"
Andy sat down in a chair. "He did seem a little unwell last full moon."
Snape's mood suddenly soured.
Andy continued, "Whoever he is, as long as he can teach the class well, that's all that matters. Besides, he's still using the Invisibility Cloak, and I'd like to see if he can keep it up safely for a year."
"What do you want?" Snape asked. He was ready to send people away.
"Professor, can I help?" Andy asked.
Snape was straightforward: "The wolfsbane potion contains an additional ingredient. I'm afraid you can't handle it."
Snape did have the ability to make the taste of a potion quite unpleasant without changing its effect.
Well...there might also be some negative effects that didn't harm the body.
Of course, it mainly depended on how much Snape hated the person taking the potion.
"That's not what I'm talking about..."
Andy said, "Saving someone... You've already decided, haven't you? Do you need a hand?"
"This is a good opportunity for me to put my skills into practice."
"Hogwarts has the richest collection of books in the entire wizarding world, but there are no practical lessons or duelling lessons. So... I need to find some opportunities for myself."
"You're a professor; it's your responsibility to teach your students."
Snape: "..."
Snape's hand briefly stopped stirring the potion.
What did he hear?
This young wizard wanted to go with him to rescue a person in Azkaban?
"I'm the Potions professor; I don't teach that," Snape refused without hesitation.
"Professor, even if you don't take me, I'll still go. After all, it's a rare opportunity. If you meet a wizard with a blue bandana that day... that'll be me." Andy would not give up just because Snape refused.
In this day and age, opportunities for actual combat are indeed rare.
Andy can't just barge into the Ministry of Magic every day and look for a duel with an Auror, can he?
Snape has already declined Andy's invitation to 'spar' several times, and Sirius has agreed to a duel with Andy 500 times, but he's not at Hogwarts.
As for Dumbledore... Andy needs an opponent who is evenly matched, not a big boss who can't be challenged and can only beat you down.
"Why do you want to participate in all this?" Snape asked in return.
"For practical experience!" Andy said it truthfully. "When your strength improves, you always need to find someone to test your level. Moreover, when Voldemort revives, the wizarding world will be in chaos. With practical experience, I can also better deal with the situation in the future... don't you think so?"
Snape's hollow eyes looked at Andy. "Collins... what do you want to do with your obsession with power?"
Snape had long wanted to ask this question.
After all, in Snape's opinion, Andy was growing up exactly according to the model of the Dark Lord – not in terms of magical talent but in terms of the style in which he did things to achieve his goals.
Unrestrained and doing whatever he wanted.
Just as Voldemort had said: Magic is Might!
In Snape's opinion, all Dark Lords had this kind of character.
"What do you want to do?"
Andy spread his hands and explained, "I want to learn all the magic in the world and find a practical way to live forever through magic."
"And then?" Snape's eyes fixed on Andy.
"And then?"
Andy paused for a moment, thought about it, and said, "Then of course I'll continue to study magic! What else is there to do? The mysteries of magic, the end of magic..."
"Muggles are already exploring the universe. However, the lifespan of ordinary people is too short, and space travel takes decades or even hundreds of years."
"But if you have eternal life, none of this will be a problem."
"I can use magic and alchemy to study how to survive in space... It is said that the environment there is very harsh."
Andy also became excited when talking about his future plans: "Space, time, fate, the universe... There are so many unsolved mysteries in this world, and there are so many things I want to do."
"If you want to hear, I can chat with you about it."
Snape: No, I don't want to hear.
"Immortality is hard. What if you fail?" Snape suddenly asked.
Andy was silent for a moment. "Then become the Dark Lord!"
"No choice... Living in society, we need wealth, power, status, fame, connections, and other worldly things."
"Becoming the Dark Lord can get you all of these."
Snape's corner of eye twitched slightly.
This was the first time he had talked about these things with Andy... In fact, the two of them didn't get along very well, and even though they were now considered partners, Snape didn't want to have any deep contact with Andy.
He felt that Andy was too dangerous.
Besides, the current Snape is no longer the Snape from thirteen years ago.
He has been teaching at Hogwarts for thirteen years, in contact with the students every day, and his mentality and personality have been affected unconsciously long ago.
"Just kidding..."
Andy suddenly laughed, "If I fail... I'll probably stay in Hogwarts and be a Headmaster for the rest of my life!"
Snape: "..."
If you succeed, you'll go after your ideals.
If he fails, he will take over Dumbledore's or Voldemort's position.
Andy Collins... you're something else!
After a long silence, Snape suddenly said, "In what role do you plan to appear?"
Actually, when you think about it, it would be nice to have an assistant.
It's not like it's anything murderous or arson-related, and it's not too unacceptable to let Andy practice his practical skills.
"How about someone under Imperius Curse?" Andy suggested.
"I'll let you know the day before the operation," Snape said indifferently.
