Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 37: Chapter 37 Voldemort will never curse the Defense Against the Dark Arts class

"What a surprise, I thought you wouldn't sign," Andy said casually as they walked to the great hall.

"I did hesitate..."

Hermione was somewhat torn, "Professor Quirrell might be in some kind of trouble, maybe he really was attacked by a vampire..."

At this point, Hermione suddenly paused for a moment before continuing, "But he also isn't suited for the professor position, let's hope he can find a new job!"

As they spoke, the two came to the great hall.

Just as they walked into the great hall, Andy realized that some of the young wizards looked secretive, with a look of 'I know a secret, but I can't say it'.

While the other part of the young wizards were asking around, wondering what was going on at Hogwarts and why am I the only one who didn't know.

Did Harry Potter lose points again?

Or is Dumbledore getting married?

Even if you can't tell me, it would be nice if you gave me a hint!

Andy and Hermione had just walked over to the Ravenclaw long table and sat down when Anthony immediately came over.

He signalled Andy with his eyes and then asked quietly, "Andy, do you know about that?"

"Signatures?" Andy raised his eyebrows.

Anthony's face lit up with joy, "What do you think? I mean, do you support this?"

"Of course!"

Andy had a righteous demeanour, "We can't joke about our future, can we?"

Anthony nodded in agreement, "The Defense Against Dark Arts course should be teaching us how to protect ourselves, but Professor Quirrell is completely unqualified."

"And I heard..."

Anthony beckoned Andy and Hermione to come closer, then said mysteriously, "I heard from the upperclassmen that the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was cursed by You-Know-Who, and that no professor could be in office for more than a year."

There is such a thing?

In that case, Dumbledore was actually perfunctory to Hermione?

Hermione obviously didn't believe it, so she immediately pointed out the hole in it, "Why would the You-Know-Who curse the Defense Against the Dark Arts class? He's so powerful, there's no need for him to mess with a class, right?"

Putting it that way...it seemed to make a bit of sense. Andy nodded.

"You-Know-Who is the Dark Lord, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is specifically designed to deal with him." Anthony gave the reason.

This reason...how can I put it... I guess whoever believes it is a fool!

"I also think it's simply impossible."

Andy said, "If the You-Know-Who really had such power, why didn't he curse the Headmaster of Hogwarts?"

"Maybe because the Hogwarts Headmaster is Dumbledore, and he's the only wizard You-Know-Who fears," Anthony said.

Not wanting to argue about this, Andy picked up his fork and forked a pie and ate it.

At the door of the great hall, Ron and Harry appeared sneakily.

The two stood in the doorway and looked around for a moment, only after seeing that no one had noticed them did they catwalk into the great hall.

"Where the hell have George and Fred gone, they didn't bring us any food for lunch."

Ron grumbled bitterly, "They're starving us to death."

Harry didn't say anything, he was ready to see if he could just grab some random food, run out of the Great Hall and hurry back to his dormitory.

He didn't want to see anyone for a few days if possible.

"Hey, Harry!"

Ron suddenly said with a surprised look on his face, "I have an idea, we can go eat at the Ravenclaw long table and maybe no one will notice us."

Harry flinched at that; not that it wouldn't work.

Ron grabbed Harry by the hand, "I saw Andy, let's get over there."

Andy's entire being was still a little dazed when Ron and Harry showed up, "What brings you guys over to the Ravenclaw side of the room?"

While saying that, Andy also moved over for the two of them.

"Thanks!" Harry said gratefully.

Ron, on the other hand, had a bitter look on his face, "Don't mention it, we got screwed! Andy, you gotta help us."

Andy was just about to ask how I can help you guys when he heard Ron continue, "We're starving, George and Fred only brought us breakfast - can we get something to eat here with you?"

Just this?

Okay, I'm the one who overestimated you guys.

"Sure!"

Andy nodded, and then asked curiously, "So, what's up with that - what's with you guys suddenly heading out for a night out?"

Hermione, who was sitting on the other side of Andy, perked up her ears at that.

It was human nature to snoop on gossip, and naturally, the young witch was no exception.

"We've been tricked!"

Ron said indignantly, "Malfoy asked us to go to the Trophy Room for a duel at night, but instead of showing up, he informed Filch."

Andy: "..."

Hermione spoke sternly, "How could you guys have a private duel? If the professor finds out about this, you'll be expelled from Hogwarts!"

"Shhh!"

Andy put up a finger in front of his mouth before explaining to Hermione, "This is something you can't refuse, even if you get expelled from the school."

Hermione glared at Andy, clearly upset that Andy had spoken like that.

"This is about a man's dignity. Hermione, you should have something you care about too, right?" Andy asked rhetorically.

Hermione thought carefully, then nodded slightly, she certainly had something she cared about.

Thinking about it that way, she seemed to be able to understand it.

It was childish, though.

Ron said indignantly, "Andy's right, this is a duel of dignity, it's something that can never be avoided!"

Harry nodded in agreement, this statement made his heart feel slightly better.

God knows how desolate his heart felt when Professor McGonagall deducted a hundred points from them.

But deducting points was at least better than being expelled.

Harry couldn't even imagine what being expelled from Hogwarts would be like.

Even though he had been at Hogwarts for less than a week, he knew - he belonged here.

Andy smacked his forehead, these two idiots - I've mentioned the obvious and they still don't get it.

"But Malfoy evaded the duel!" Andy said as if he had a point.

Hermione gave Andy a weird look in her eyes, why is this guy so bad?

Only in the morning, he helped Malfoy plan against Professor Quirrell, but in the evening he wanted to help Ron and Harry devise a plan against Malfoy?

Hopping from left to right across the room won't be as fast as you are!

"Malfoy is a coward!" Ron said with a look of disdain.

Uh... okay bla bla bla, whatever you guys prefer.

Andy spread his hands, he would be a dog if he meddled with this anymore.

Besides, with Harry and Ron's intelligence, it probably wouldn't be advisable to carry out any plans.

"Dear little Ronnie, what are you doing here?" George and Fred had mingled in at some point.

"If you guys call that name again, I'm going to kill you!"

"Where have you guys been?"

Ron grumbled, "Harry and I have been waiting for you guys from lunch and are starving."

George put an arm around Ron's shoulders, "You guys will have to face this sooner or later."

Fred connected, "And it's no big deal."

George continued, "At most, you'll break a Hogwarts record - a hundred points deducted in less than a week of enrolment."
