Chapter 2: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 2
With both parents deceased and possessing a car and a house, Wayne Lawrence was undoubtedly a traveler from another world.
As a traveler, it was only natural for him to have his own cheat system. Since the third grade of elementary school, his cheat system had come into effect: the Chaos Demon King System.
As long as he broke the rules and caused chaos, he could gain chaos points, which could be used for lottery draws. If the ruckus he created was significant enough, he could even receive critical hit rewards. It was because of this system that he gradually strayed far from his original identity as a model student and became known as the 'Chaos Demon King' feared by the students at Westminster Abbey Primary School.
While he might not have been extraordinarily academic, he was definitely a source of hate among his peers. If it weren't for his exceptional academic performance and his imposing background, he would have likely been expelled from school several times over.
Over the years, Wayne had garnered quite a few rewards. For example, when he blew up the restroom in the fourth grade, he earned an opportunity for physical enhancement. Originally, Wayne was quite cute, but after the optimization, his looks reached a new peak and became even more relatable. His adorable appearance also became a crucial weapon for evading punishment.
Additionally, just before graduation, after giving a speech involving hammers and sickles, he acquired the Memory Palace secret technique, enabling him to remember everything he read. Just two days ago, Wayne used all his chaos points for a lottery draw and won hundreds of thousands of pounds, various academic knowledge, and a golden epic reward: fifteen percent of a certain software company's shares, non-dilutable.
But who would've thought... this was the world of Harry Potter.
This morning, as he received his admission letter from the round-faced, chubby chick from Scotland, the system timely issued a notification sound:
[Detected change in host profession, system upgrading...]
[The Chaos Demon King System 2.0 version is at your service, hoping you can add some unique vitality to this dull world.]
Wayne sighed. If he'd known he was going to receive an acceptance letter from Hogwarts, he wouldn't have spent his points so recklessly.
However, reflecting on the past eleven years, Wayne tried to find evidence for his magical disturbances and began to connect the dots. There was one time he traveled to the United States and thought the torch of the Statue of Liberty was terribly ugly, and as a result, the statue's arm broke, making international headlines. At that moment, he had assumed it was due to the statue's long neglect; looking back now, it was likely his magical power that caused the mishap.
...
After a while, the system finally responded.
[Points spent are non-refundable; the host will receive a class change package and an upgrade package.]
Seeing the lines of text on the screen, Wayne felt a bit better. This could be considered as having collected two new player gift packs.
"Open."
After a brief ritual of incense and bathing, and bowing three times to the Dao De Jing, Wayne casually opened the treasure chest.
[Class Change Pack opened. Congratulations, host! You have received a character template card and a personal attributes panel.]
[System Upgrade Pack opened. Congratulations, host! You have obtained a Pokémon egg (with some local modifications), along with a hatching device.]
Wayne's eyes widened slightly.
Wow! The system upgrade is incredibly generous this time, even producing a Pokémon egg! This really crossed worlds.
With a thought, a hatching device, about the size of a suitcase, and the Pokémon egg appeared on the table, along with a user manual. The operation was simple: just place the egg inside, connect the hatching device to a power source, and it would automatically hatch in ten days.
Moreover, the system specifically noted that if he dripped a drop of blood onto the eggshell, the Pokémon would automatically achieve full affection upon hatching.
After setting up the hatching device, Wayne then turned his attention to the other reward.
[Template Card (Gold): Randomly acquire all talents and special abilities of a wizard of S rank or above (including S rank).]
"S rank? System, how is this ranking classified?" Wayne asked curiously.
Soon, a line of text appeared on the screen.
[D rank talent: barely passes OWLS; C rank talent: can pass NEWTs normally.]
[B rank talent: magical ability is active; shows some talent in magic; A rank talent: extraordinarily talented, a genius in the eyes of ordinary people.]
[S rank talent: a prodigy that transcends common sense, worthy of being recorded in history.]
[SS rank talent: a once-in-a-century talent, a dazzling presence in the long river of history, able to influence the course of history.]
[SSS rank talent: Legend!]
After reading through it, Wayne remained silent for a moment and did not rush to activate the template card. Instead, he commanded:
"Open my personal panel."
He wanted to see what his talent was in this regard.
[Host: Wayne Lawrence
Magic: A+
Spells: A-
Defense Against the Dark Arts: B
Dark Magic: A+
Transfiguration: B
Potions: A
Alchemy: A-
Special Talent: Memory Palace (photographic memory, increased brain capacity).
Overall Evaluation: A-. With your strong talent in Dark Magic, you can become an excellent dark wizard; young man, embrace the darkness!]
After glancing at his panel, Wayne felt his eyelids twitch.
An overall evaluation of A- might seem decent at first glance, but his score was somewhat outrageous, entirely supported by his excellent magical ability and dark magic talent. As for Potions and Alchemy... it's likely their A ratings were due to his photographic memory.
The problem is, dark magic can't be used indiscriminately; otherwise, old Bee would be the first to come and have a chat with him.
"Open." Wayne exclaimed in exasperation. "Hurry up and activate the template card!"
He was a six-time first-place winner and had won numerous awards in math competitions, mastering countless skills as a super elementary school student; well, now he was classified as a middle school student.
How could he possibly only get an A- rating?
Don't ask, just know the system is suppressing him.
With a burst of golden light, Wayne barely registered what happened before the template transformed into a streak of light and entered his brow, and the system's prompt sound came belatedly.
[Congratulations, host! You have acquired the SS rank template: the great wizard of ancient Greece—Andros, the 'Invincible'!]
He felt a slight dizziness in his head, followed by an indescribable feeling in his body.
Magic!
He truly felt the existence of magic.
It was invisible and intangible, but as Wayne lifted his arm, the teacup on the table floated up effortlessly. No incantation and no wand were needed. He simply wished for the cup to float, and it naturally did so.
In just a few short seconds, Wayne had already profoundly experienced the change in his talent.
It was a complete transformation!
With no memory of a figure named Andros, Wayne felt a bit dazed for a moment.
Who was this, so powerful?
Instinctively, he checked his current panel again, his pupils slowly widening.
