"It shouldn't be too quick," said Sasaki Yukina, the strongest of the three, who had had the most encounters with Qingqiu and thus the deepest experience.

"The power increase isn't very noticeable, and the higher one's existing power, the smaller the improvement. We spent nearly ten hours continuously, and Reina's careful observation was needed to clearly determine that Uesugi's fluids indeed help improve power."

"That makes sense."

"Let's keep it a secret for as long as possible, and in the meantime, try to make the most of Uesugi."

The blond-haired guy had been observing for several days, but since Hamazaki Reina and her friends were eager to make the most of Qingqiu, they had been inseparable.

Even during the weekend, the four stayed at Kurumizaka Ruri's house and didn't leave.

Qingqiu shrugged, feigning innocence, "Actually, they invited me again today, but I hadn't been home in days and was worried my family might fret, so I declined."

Hearing this, the blond-haired guy became even angrier.

He couldn't understand why someone as excellent as Reina would be interested in this seemingly ordinary guy.

Qingqiu sidestepped, easily dodging the attack.

Failing to grab him, the blond-haired guy showed confusion, then quickened his movements.

Facing his first real fight, Qingqiu didn't dare be careless.

He also worried that the "troubled protagonist" template might cause unexpected issues at this moment.

Fortunately, the template didn't include features that would artificially enhance the blond-haired guy or weaken his own strength.

But this blond-haired guy seemed, perhaps, maybe... to be a cross-dressing woman.

Using the Insightful Eye, Qingqiu easily saw through the disguise.

The figure was slender, and despite the modified features, a hint of softness remained.

Most notably, there was no Adam's apple, and the chest area was bound with white bandages.

Qingqiu hadn't gone all out not just to avoid future trouble, but also because, despite the harsh words, there had been no killing intent during their encounters.

If Qingqiu hadn't maintained a policy of staying far away from the blondie, oblivious to outside matters, he would have discovered sooner.

Confirming her gender, Qingqiu felt much relieved.

Seeing the growing crowd of onlookers, Qingqiu, bearing no grudge, took the initiative to hold Shinomura Yuki's hand, helping her up from the ground.

Shinomura Yuki's face darkened, she shook off Qingqiu's hand with a snort, and walked towards the school exit.

Unable to cause trouble, and having been taught a lesson instead, she felt humiliated, not to mention Qingqiu's leering expression made her uncomfortable.

Qingqiu didn't mind, shamelessly following her.

He had been seeking opportunities to gain talents, and now one had presented itself. There was no reason to let it slip by.
