"Oh?" Rias raised an eyebrow. Two of the suspects were third-year students. While they were insignificant to her, compared to Qingqiu, who had barely begun cultivating his magic... claiming he had even a fifty percent chance was generous. Qingqiu had potential, but it required resources and time to convert into real power.
The other three women also looked at Qingqiu curiously, unsure of where his confidence came from. "How do you want us to handle the aftermath?" Sona asked, intrigued by Qingqiu's resolve.
"Simple, just don't hold me accountable for my actions afterward," Qingqiu replied. He had long wanted to test his newfound strength against someone, to act out a role that went against his typical protagonist type. His previous lack of power and background had limited him to minor scuffles with delinquents. If all else failed, he had considered a longer-term sting operation. But now, he was ready to embrace his inner villain.
Rias casually flipped her red hair and said in the most nonchalant tone, "No problem. Do what you need to do. Kuoh Academy has always been under the Gremory family's management."
Qingqiu blinked, recalling that detail. It hadn't seemed important enough to remember until now. With the deal settled, the four women resumed their leisurely afternoon tea. Qingqiu, with no intention of leaving, mischievously toyed with Tsubaki and Akeno while sampling the exquisite pastries. Both the tea and snacks were of the finest quality.
Qingqiu had always enjoyed eating, particularly meat. Now that he no longer worried about excess weight altering his physique, he indulged even more. While sweets had never been his preference, he suddenly found them quite appealing. The aroma was enticing, sweet yet not cloying. Different from meat, but charming in its own way.
Feeling satisfied, Qingqiu glanced at the four stunning girls before him, his mind wandering. Unfortunately, aside from Tsubaki, he hadn't found any solid opportunities with the others yet. So, he impulsively pulled the vice president onto his lap and kissed her, catching her completely off guard.
Tsubaki's eyes widened in shock, unable to react immediately. It wasn't until Qingqiu's tongue teased hers that she blushed fiercely. Tsubaki, shy and embarrassed, lightly pounded Qingqiu's chest with her fists, trying to break free. As Rias and the others watched in astonishment, Qingqiu stubbornly held on, refusing to let go.
Seeing Qingqiu's determination, Tsubaki closed her eyes and let him continue his playful antics. "Sona, did you set this up?" Rias asked, surprised by the situation.
"No..." Sona replied, equally taken aback. The pair's practiced moves suggested this wasn't their first time. The other girls whispered among themselves, fascinated by the scene.
"Akeno, you need to step up, or Uesugi might be snatched away," one remarked.
"President, I think you'd have a better chance than me if you made a move," Akeno countered.
"Look at their expressions," Rias mused. "Is kissing really that enjoyable?"
At some point, Tsubaki had started responding to Qingqiu's advances. The sounds of their kisses filled the room, leaving Rias and the others forgotten. Eventually, they parted, though Qingqiu was reluctant to do so. Any longer, and Qingqiu might have lost control.
Tsubaki lay against Qingqiu, breathless and flushed, her eyes watery. A slender thread of saliva dripped from her lips onto her uniform, staining it dark. The sight was enough to make the other girls instinctively cross their legs.
Returning to her senses, Tsubaki wished she could vanish from embarrassment. Despite her mature and aloof demeanor, she was shy about such matters. Qingqiu, on the other hand, seemed unfazed, thanks to his experiences with Reina and the Takamine sisters. Being watched by girls felt normal to him, even more so than sneaking around in secret.
Once she regained her strength, Tsubaki quickly extricated herself from Qingqiu's embrace. The vice president glared at him, both angry and embarrassed, before retreating behind Sona for cover.
"Tsubaki..." Sona began, unsure how to proceed. She had tasked Tsubaki with enticing Qingqiu to become her retainer, yet Qingqiu showed no signs of commitment, and Tsubaki seemed on the verge of being completely taken advantage of.
Sona wouldn't interfere in her retainers' personal relationships, and if Tsubaki truly liked Qingqiu, there was no issue. But Qingqiu's intentions were clearly focused on physical attraction.
"Uesugi, reaching this point with Tsubaki without telling me makes me sad," Akeno teased, though her words were full of cheer.
Qingqiu was increasingly captivating to her, but what fun was there in tormenting a weakling? As a sadistic yet playful person, the more Qingqiu misbehaved, the more entertaining it was to teach him a lesson.
Unbeknownst to her, Qingqiu also envisioned turning her into his personal plaything. The thought of a sadistic queen kneeling at his feet, wagging her tail, made Qingqiu excited.
"Heh, Akeno-senpai, if you're interested, you're welcome anytime," Qingqiu replied with a grin, ready to accept her challenge.
Everyone was aware of the situation—they were consenting adults, with no deception involved. Certainly not enough to warrant drastic action against him.
With a parting kiss to Tsubaki, Qingqiu waved goodbye. It was time to go home and take care of his desires. As soon as he stepped out of the student council room, Qingqiu couldn't help but smile widely. Tsubaki was indeed a treasure, having granted him another talent through their interaction.
"Ding! Talent detected: Intermediate Demon Bloodline."
"Beginning replication..."
Recalling the notification, Qingqiu clenched his fists in excitement. Demon bloodline counted as a talent! This meant he could potentially acquire other bloodlines, like those of fallen angels, dragons, or gods. Thanks to his dual cultivation ability, he didn't worry about negative effects from mixing bloodlines.
Hybrids who fully inherited their bloodlines' strengths were often powerful and talented individuals. For example, a certain protagonist yet to appear, parasitized by a Sacred Gear, was a hybrid of human, demon, and dragon, becoming a key player of his time. Another protagonist, a hybrid of human, god, demon, and dragon, was similarly powerful, with an unbeatable ability from birth.
