Chapter 4: 4 Pets or....
Without wasting another moment, he stepped out of the spring, reaching for his clothes with renewed vigor.
As Ender approached the small houses he had made for his pets, he could hardly believe his eyes. There they were, waiting for him—just as if no time had passed at all, as if all his battles and travels had never separated them. His heart pounded, and he felt an overwhelming mix of relief, joy, and disbelief washing over him, so intense it almost felt like a dream, they were no longer codes but real companions.
The first to greet him was his loyal wolf, Fenrir, bounding forward with unrestrained excitement, tail wagging furiously. Ender knelt down, laughing as the wolf nudged his hand and licked his face, the warmth of the wolf's fur and its familiar, joyful energy filling him with an indescribable sense of comfort. He wrapped his arms around his wolf, feeling every heartbeat, every soft breath, and he realized just how much he'd missed this bond—a companionship so pure it was as if they'd never been apart.
Then came the soft, familiar purring as his ocelot-turned-cat, Bastet padded up, weaving in and out of his legs in that serene way she always had. Her golden eyes met his, and with a quiet meow, she stretched up, resting her paws on his knees as she brushed her head against him. Ender chuckled, reaching down to scratch her behind the ears, the soothing rumble of her purr resonating through his hands. She had always been his quiet guardian, keeping creepers at bay and offering silent company when he needed it most. In that moment, he felt a deep, unspoken gratitude for her loyalty and presence.
And then, his gaze fell on his skeletal horse, Sleipnir, standing proudly yet patiently just outside the stable, waiting for him with a silent, almost eerie calm. The bone structure glistened faintly in the light, yet somehow, this creature didn't feel cold or unnatural. With a careful hand, Ender reached out, running his fingers along its spine, feeling the strange but familiar texture of bone. The horse snorted softly, acknowledging him with a slow nod. He felt a fierce bond with this creature—one forged not only in battles but in the countless journeys they had undertaken together, racing across endless plains and treacherous terrain.
Ender's heart swelled with gratitude, as a profound sense of belonging filled him. His pets had been more than just allies; they had been his constants, his companions, the ones who'd never left his side, no matter how wild the world became. Now, seeing them here, in this real, tangible form, he realized they weren't just pets—they were family.
Kneeling among them, he felt his worries, fears, and loneliness melt away, replaced by a feeling of warmth that seemed to permeate every part of him. "I'm back", he whispered, as his wolf pressed against him, his cat settled at his side, and his skeleton horse stood close, silent but present. For the first time since arriving in this strange world, he felt truly at home.
As Ender stood, marveling at the recent discovery, the system notification flashed before his eyes:
[Hidden Quest Completed]
Objective: Tame 3 Legendary Beasts.
Reward: Blessing of Goddess Bast, Blessing of Goddess Hela, Blessing of All-Father Odin.
Title: Mythic Beast Master.]
Ender stood back, eyes wide with amazement as he looked at his three pets. The transformation before him was nothing short of astounding. He had heard of legendary creatures from myths and tales, but he never expected the simple act of naming his pets after gods and mythical beasts would unlock such power. It wasn't just a matter of aesthetics—something deeper had happened.
The name he granted when he tamed them gave them game-changing transformations and powers.
Bastet, his cat, had always been a quick and agile creature, but now, with the name bestowed upon her, there was an almost divine grace in her movements. Her fur shimmered faintly, as though imbued with the essence of an ancient goddess. Her eyes glowed with an ethereal, golden light, and she exuded an aura of calm yet unyielding power. It was as if she now embodied the protective energy of her namesake, the goddess Bastet, and could manifest that power when needed. She moved with regal elegance, her purrs carrying an almost hypnotic quality, soothing Ender and his allies while radiating an energy that could ward off even the darkest of spirits.
Next was Sleipnir, his skeletal horse. Ender had always marveled at how his horse could navigate through any terrain, but now, it was different. Sleipnir stood taller, its bones gleaming with a strange, otherworldly light, and its eyes burned with an otherworldly fire. His skeleton frame seemed more solid, it shone like gold, imbued with the strength of a creature meant to carry gods through realms. With a single command, the horse effortlessly summoned the power of the wind, allowing it to run faster than the eye could follow, its hooves barely touching the ground. When Ender mounted Sleipnir, he could feel an immense surge of speed, like he was being propelled forward by the very forces of nature. The aura around Sleipnir was that of an unstoppable force, capable of crossing between realms with ease, a symbol of loyalty and untamed power.
Then there was Fenrir, his wolf. Ender had always known his wolf to be a fierce and loyal companion, but now Fenrir had a raw, primal energy that resonated deeply with Ender. His fur, once simple, now shimmered with a silver-blue sheen, and his eyes were filled with an intensity that seemed to burn through the darkness. When Fenrir growled, the ground trembled slightly beneath Ender's feet, and his howl now echoed with the power of ancient forces. In battle, Fenrir was a force to be reckoned with—his agility and strength were enhanced, and he could summon ethereal, shadowy forms to fight alongside him. The wolf's loyalty was unwavering, and now, it felt as though the beast had inherited a fragment of the power of Fenrir from myth—a fearsome protector and warrior.
The realization hit Ender like a thunderbolt. The names weren't just for fun, now. Each of his pets now carried with them a fraction of the divine strength of their mythological counterparts. The blessings had manifested in ways that felt far beyond the mundane, granting them extraordinary abilities in both combat and utility.
The blessings were not for him but also for his pets, they had not only enhanced their powers but had also granted them special forms. Bastet, while still retaining her cat-like grace, now could transform into a larger, more powerful battle form when needed.
Her fur became armor-like, and her claws grew sharper, capable of striking down even the toughest foes with the precision of a goddess.
Sleipnir's battle form was equally awe-inspiring: when Ender called upon its full power, it could shift from a skeletal steed to a more ethereal, mist-like form, phasing through obstacles and teleporting short distances, making it a fearsome mount in both speed and battle.
Fenrir, in his battle form, became a towering beast of legend, his fur bristling with energy as he transformed into a gigantic wolf, radiating strength that could shake the very earth.
Ender's heart raced with excitement as he marveled at what he had just unlocked. Not only had he gained loyal companions, but they were now far beyond what he could have ever imagined. They weren't just normal companions—they were embodiments of myth and legend, powerful allies that had the potential to change everything.
"Who would have thought…" Ender muttered in awe, still trying to grasp the full extent of what had just happened. "A name... and everything changes. I can't wait to see what else I can unlock.'
He looked over at his pets, who stood tall and proud beside him. They were no longer just a part of the world he'd built—they were legendary creatures now, ready to face whatever challenges came next.
He then checked his new title [Beast Master]
[Enhanced Bond: The Beast Master title would grant an even deeper connection to pets and beasts. It goes beyond simple control or companionship—he would be able to communicate more directly with his animals, sensing their thoughts, emotions, and needs. The bond is so strong that he could even share some of his strength, stamina, or healing with his pets in return, creating a two-way channel of energy.]
[Command and Coordination: Ender would gain the ability to command his beasts with greater precision and coordination, allowing them to work in unison as a well-oiled team. This ability could extend to any creature Ender tames, not just his initial companions, turning him into a master of animal-like forces.]
[Improved Combat Synergy: Each of his pets would have increased combat effectiveness, agility, and resilience when they fought together.]
[Beast Transformation: As a Beast Master, Ender could tap into the deep, mystical bond between himself and his pets, drawing from their respective powers and merging with one of them at a time. This transformation would not only change Ender's appearance but also enhance his abilities, granting him some of the unique traits and strengths of his companion.]
[Summon Lesser Beasts: The title might grant Ender the ability to summon lesser beasts of a similar nature. These could be smaller or more basic animals, but they would still serve a purpose in certain scenarios. Whether it's calling forth wild wolves, falcons to scout, or even a swarm of smaller creatures, Ender could call upon the natural forces at his command.]
[Passive Aura of Command: The title could bestow a passive aura that causes nearby animals to regard Ender with greater respect and loyalty. Creatures that would normally flee or fight him might instead approach with trust, recognizing his mastery over beasts and possibly even offering their aid in unexpected ways. This could also affect how Ender interacts with hostile mobs or creatures, making it easier to tame or subdue them.]
[Beast Friend: Animals will seek you, with you the closer you are the more chances of them seeking you either to make friends with you or for master.]
[*Note to tame some beasts you will need to make them see as your Alpha first!]
*Whistle "Damn I should have named other animals after other powerful animals, WAIT! Oh God, what have I done!" He realizes that he did name some animals for fun and jumps in horror making his pets look at him with concern.
Just then he felt several auras approaching them each of them was powerful enough to cause panic across cities.
His pets transformed into their battle forms sensing the approaching auras though none of them were more powerful than themselves the numbers were alarming.
Ender calmly stood up thanking himself that he didn't name all animals after their Pokemon counterparts that would have been a disaster.
Then he sees a hill 'running' towards him and as he looks closer he grimaces at the giant hill that was the white fox he found in the ice biome and decides to keep it as a trophy, and names it Kurama, be could not help but regret it now since now its snow-white fur had turned red, he just hope this guy hadn't inherited Kyubi's personality that would be a pain ass to deal, he could feel Fenrir growling the fox also stops at a distance growling at Fenrir.
He didn't have time to mediate between them as a horde of 'cows' reached them, Ender mentally sighed in relief that he didn't name all of them Tauros, but a group of Miltanks can be a pain in the ass too not to mention other animals.
"This will take a long time to deal with, I wanted company but not this much and not of this kind." He pinches his forehead before deciding to abuse his beast master title.
~~~~~~
Ender went to bed after dealing with the beasts, if not for his [Beast Master] title who knows what would have happened.
As Ender lay back on his bed, a deep sense of warmth and serenity washed over him. The bed felt softer than he remembered, almost as if the exhaustion from his recent battles and the high-energy bonding with his pets had made him sink into its embrace even more. He let out a long, quiet sigh as the tension in his muscles unwound, and he closed his eyes, letting his mind drift.
For the first time since his journey began, Ender felt a rare and profound peace. He thought of how he'd calmed his mythical companions before coming to bed, each one of them settling down with ease, the energy they shared now more harmonious than ever. They had accepted him as their leader, their friend, and their protector. It felt like he'd finally carved out a place in this vast, sometimes lonely world—a place where he was needed and cherished. His companions, who once were just loyal pets, were now family, and that thought filled him with a sense of belonging he hadn't felt in a long time.
As he lay there, he imagined the feeling was like coming home to someone who'd been waiting for him all day, ready to comfort him, to give him rest. The warmth he felt was so full, so welcoming, like the kind of embrace he'd once longed for in his old world but had never quite found. It wasn't just his body that relaxed but his very spirit, as if the bed itself had soaked up every ounce of weariness and replaced it with tranquility.
His mind drifted to memories of his life before—of friends, of fleeting comforts, and of times he'd wished for the simplicity of home after a long day. Here, now, he was finally experiencing that sensation, an oasis of calm amid his life of adventure and struggle. He felt complete, and the quiet reassurance in the room seemed to whisper that he was exactly where he was meant to be.
The warmth of the bed seeped into him, his heartbeat slowed, and with one final sigh, Ender slipped into sleep, feeling entirely at peace. The night wrapped around him like a protective shield, and he dreamed of golden fields, endless horizons, and the presence of those he cared for, feeling, for once, truly at home.
