Chapter 198: Three down, one more to go
Shawth looked at Ayaan's hair that changed into snow white, and the rippling energy around him and narrowed his eyes. "Come!"
"Humph! Don't be too arrogant, boy!" shouted Shawth and hunched towards Ayaan. His weapon grasped in his hand. "Die!"
He shouted and lunged at Ayaan. "Hmm?" however just as he was about to strike with his sickle, he felt a grip on his feet. When he looked down, he found his feet were tied in the chain's of ice. Surprised by the sudden development, he could not act nimbly and Ayaan attacked with his sword.
"Boom!"
At the last moment he blocked the sword with his sickle, however, he was thrown more than ten meters away, and blood trickled out of his lips. The man wiped the blood and shouted before dashing towards Ayaan for more aggression.
When he was about five meters away from Ayaan, the icy chains once more tied his leg. "You think you can use the same trick again and again on me?" a sneered man and his own ice powers released, and chains melted as if they had come into contact with fire.
However his sneer didn't last longer, as more and more ice chains formed all around him—one, two, three, four, five, immediately five chains appeared and pinned him on the spot. His feet, waist, hands became tied in a blink. "You think that was the limit of my power? Moron!" this time Ayaan sneered, disdain plastered on his face.
"Swish!"
He had just freed himself from two chains when Ayaan's sabre appeared once more. His face turned pale. He was glad that first he freed his hand or he would be dead for sure. His sickle was still in his hand and once more used it to protect himself.
"Bang!"
"Smash!"
The impact was too heavy and the three ice chains as well smashed and shattered into pieces. However Shawth was even in a more miserable condition. Now there was a deep gash on his chest from where blood dripped, painting his chest red.
Shawth touched his chest and looked at his bloody chest in disbelief. He never thought that this boy could defeat him in a dual. He was higher in cultivation than him, dammit! He screamed in his head, and his eyes turned crimson in agony and fury and fear. His body jerked and trembled and felt dizzy. "I did not think you were so talented." He praised, and revealed his bloody teeth, his mouth full of blood. It felt as if he would vomit a mouthful blood, but nothing happened. He once more clasped his sickle and stood tall and proud, gesturing Ayaan with his weapon to continue.
While Ayaan fought With Shawth, a head flew towards the sky, blood spread and pumped out of the neck and body slumped on the ground when life left from the body. With a thud sound, the head fell down and rolled away for more than ten meters on the icy floor. Isobel stood in front of the corpse with a cold expression and turned towards another battle but did not join after killing Victor. Moron was too arrogant, but without any skill.
"Huh!" she heard a shout and turned towards her sister—Noor was fighting with Romaldo the Emperor. However right now, he did not look more than a beggar. His clothes tattered and expression haggard, his body filled with bruises and wounds, his hair ragged and his face tired, while his expression panicked and frightened.
He was also peak level Larva Realm Cultivator, but he could barely block Noor's attacks. It was only a matter of time before his body lay on the ground like Victor. There was no hope for him—Noor was a space elemental cultivator. She could teleport for a short distance, though it would take lots of her energy while doing it continuously, it still gave her tremendous advantage over other people.
"Snap!"
When the man was distracted, she appeared behind him and attacked with his sharp dagger. "Ahh!" Romaldo screamed an agonised shriek, and tumbled away, however, Noor had no intention to give him time for recovery. This time she appeared just in front of him when he was dealing with the last attack. In the last moment he saw a blurry light, and then darkness covered his eyes, and his body fell limply, lifeless and soulless, eyes wide open, in disbelief and terror.
Just when Noor finished her opponent, one more head rolled on the ground, after a short flight—Shawth. Ayaan looked around and saw two of them had already finished their opponent and smiled at them and all three of them turned towards the main fight. Ayaan knew that the three people's defeat wasn't important. It was this Elder Luan who was important, and he did not want him to die. There were many things he wanted to learn from him about the Heavenly Palace.
Ayaan could see, though, the Elder Luan wasn't powerful enough to match the duo, and Rebecca had the advantage of ice as she stood above the source of ice—water. She could manipulate the water as she wanted, this was how powerful she had become—while Leafwhisk wasn't on the ground, she was not too far away either. There was an abundance of wood elements in the air. The environment differed completely from Snow Lake, where she could not use much of her powers. She used her wood element efficiently and cleverly. This time she had formed an armour around her body that protected her from any attack that Laun sent in her way.
Not only she formed an armour around her that protected her, there was also a sword in her hand—a wooden sword. Though the sword was wooden whenever she attacked, space ripped apart by her attacks. Even Elder Laun did not dare to neglect it, because had already paid an enormous price for looking down on her weapon that was a deep gash on his waist.
"Boom!"
Suddenly ice melted under Elder Laun's feet and he lost the balance. He and the other two were so immersed in their battle that they did not realise that three battles had already concluded.
"Bang!"
"Ahh!"
