Chapter 141: Ghoul Federation
The man felt as if the entire world had collapsed; he couldn't understand what happened just now. The darkness prevailed, his eyes were like they would fall out of their sockets at any moment, tears crept out of his eyes. The pain was something he had never experienced. It was, he, who would torture others for his amusement, but today, he felt what pain truly was.
It took around five minutes for his gaze to become clear again. However, he felt numb at his lower part and couldn't feel his most precious thing. It was like there was nothing at that place.
The woman who had been speaking arrogantly not long ago turned pale with fright, not daring to make a single sound. Ayaan had to admit that she was beautiful; her twin peaks giggled when she moved. Even then Ayaan, however, only felt disgusted for this woman who killed innocent and ate them piece by piece.
"I. Will. Kill. You!" a roar resounded. The man stood up with red eyes. His gaze filled with hatred. He didn't even know if he would be able to use his weapon in the future; of course, he would resent Ayaan most in this world, for doing something so extreme.
"You want to kill me? Hmm? Then come!" challenged Ayaan with a cold smirk. He could tell that this man was only at the early stage of the king level and the woman was only at the great mage. Anyone in his group could handle these two easily except the little guy, of course.
The man hesitated at first, but after hearing Ayaan's provoking voice he jumped at him, with a furious shout. Ayaan didn't look worried; he waited for the man to arrive in front of him, and when he reached around four meters away from him, he made his move and dashed towards the man.
Ghoul felt a blur in front of him and when he realised what happened, a figure stood in front of him. Only now did he realise that he was just like a pebble who was trying to break the mountain. No matter how pebbles attack the mountain, it would never succeed in harming the mountain.
After he realised the gap in strength, he tried to turn and escape. Ayaan chuckled at his futile effort. He extended his hand and grabbed the man by his neck and hung him in the air.
"Rele...ase… me." The man said as he struggled to escape from Ayaan's clutches. But how could Ayaan let someone like him go? He is going to make him pay what he did with those innocent people.
The woman looked at her companion who hung in Ayaan's hand with disbelief, but when she realised her condition, she turned around to escape, not giving a damn about her so-called companion.
"Where do you think you are going?" she had just turned when a cold snort came from her behind and pulled her back by her hair.
"Ahhh!"
She screamed in pain, but Rebecca didn't give a damn about it. She had seen the condition of those people. No human could do such a thing. Therefore she dragged this woman like an animal without showing any mercy.
"Release me, or you don't know what will befall upon you!" shouted the man venomously. Her face twisted with pain.
"Ohh, looks like there are more of these ghouls." Laughed Ayaan hearing this woman's threat. He looked at the man and asked, "I will give you a breath's time for giving me the information about those ghouls. Unless you want to die, you will tell me everything."
The man looked at the woman in resentment. This damn whore told an outsider about their organisation. He felt an immense hatred for her.
"I… won't tell you anything," said the man, still hanging in Ayaan's hand.
"Well, I believe you won't tell me anything. You look tough, but do you have any confidence that she," Ayaan looked at the woman on the ground," would be able to handle our torture?"
A hesitant expression appeared on his face, a sigh escaped from his mouth, as if he had made some kind of decision. He looked at Ayaan, speaking, "I will tell you but you have to promise that you will not kill me."
"Sure, I promise, I will not kill you."
"Ayaan…"
"I know what I am doing," Ayaan looked at Noor, then again turned towards the man, releasing the man from his grip. He wasn't much of a threat to Ayaan, and that man also knew this truth.
The man looked thrilled when he heard Ayaan's agreement. He never thought that Ayaan would agree with him. He hid his excitement and looked at Ayaan, "how would I know that you are speaking the truth?"
"That's your problem. I don't like to explain myself. I said I won't kill you that means I won't kill you. I am not going to ask one more time, tell me everything you know... or die!" Ayaan looked at the man with a little irritated expression.
"Sure, I will tell you everything," the man turned pale when he saw Ayaan's irritated face.
"Go on," Ayaan looked rather relaxed. He realised that these two were too cowardly, he didn't have to do much to get some information from these people.
Naked man took a deep breath and started to speak, "On the central continent, there is an organisation called Ghoul Federation. The people of this organisation are spread all over the continent. They live like normal people in the day, but at night, they will hunt for people for food."
"So you are saying that you are from that organisation?" interrupted Ayaan.
"I was. But not now," replied the man. He knew that Ayaan would like to know the reason, so he told him on his own accord, "she and I were found by the people of the righteous path. Not only that, even the Ghoul Federation came after us to protect their secrets. We knew the locations of many other ghouls and ghoul strongholds. They would never let us live with those secrets when all the righteous path is hunting us. This is one of the rules of the organisation that we can't be found by anyone. If we were, only death would be our destination.
"So you're saying that this Ghoul Federation lives like a parasite amongst the normal people in the day, but they become vicious fiends and reveal their true self in the night." Said Ayaan, then continued, "I am very interested in your secret information."
The man hesitated at first but then he spat out everything — the location of strongholds and other ghouls — Ayaan smiled after getting all this information. He never felt so much disgust for anyone, he felt for this organisation. Therefore, he decided to make their parasitic life a little difficult.
Ayaan was shocked to know how cunning and vicious these people were. They were spread on the entire central continent. However, they never dared to infiltrate those most powerful sects and clans though. That implies that their strength was limited.
"I have already told you everything I know. Please, let me go, " pleaded the man.
"Ohh, don't worry. I won't kill you." Ayaan smirked when he said that but didn't speak any further.
The man sighed in relief when he saw Ayaan didn't go on his words.
"Raga, please save me," the woman who was lying on the ground like a dog spoke, "you know how amazing my techniques are. You won't get anyone as talented as me in this desert. Didn't you say my mouth techniques are out of this world…"
"Shut up!" shouted Ayaan furiously when he heard her words. All the girls felt their faces burning due to embarrassment. Even Leafwhisk wasn't an exception. Only Akash was blinking innocently without any clue.
"Big sister Isobel, what is she saying?" he turned towards Isobel and asked curiously.
"Umm… umm…" Isobel felt like a lump had stuck in her throat. No word dared to come out of her mouth.
"Oh, she is just afraid. Her mind isn't working. Don't hear her nonsense." Replied Leafwhisk hurriedly. She was afraid that this would cause a bad impact on this little boy.
"Raga…"
"Shut up!" this time it was Raga who shouted at her. He was afraid that she would cause his death if she spoke once more. After that, he turned towards Ayaan and asked, "Sir, can you please let her go as well… if you don't want…"
"Oh, it is a small matter. I won't kill her." Said Ayaan without any concern.
"Thank you, sir," the two ghouls bowed, again and again, expressing their gratitude. This time everyone was silent and no one objected to him.
"Don't thank me, this fast. I think this will turn into curses in just a second," Ayaan looked at the two and an evil smile appeared on the corner of his lips.
Both ghouls turned pale as they looked at his face. They would be the most stupid people in this world if they couldn't understand his words.
…
"Haha, that was satisfying," chuckled Noor, but her face was pale.
"What is satisfying? You vomited three times when Ayaan tortured those two." Retorted Isobel her sister.
"Hmph! So what? Only someone like you who cultivates blood wouldn't feel anything after seeing the blood. I am a normal cultivator after all," replied Noor.
This time Isobel didn't reply but there was a bitter expression on her face. Only she knew what she had to go through to control herself.
"That's enough. Let's go," Ayaan said and walked in front of everyone.
…
Heat spread in every direction as two suns appeared, vultures gliding in the sky looked for the prey when they saw two naked bodies lying on the ground, missing all of their limbs. Without any delay, vultures lunged at them.
"NO!" screams echoed in the burning desert, but no one was there to hear these pitiful agonised shrieks.
