Harry Potter In Marvel

Chapter 26: The Search for Tony Stark

"Woof."

"Yes it is. I don't know who you are trying to fool."

"Woof."

"No, I am not buying you a phone." Harry replied as he rolled his eyes.

"Woof."

"Who the hell would you even call?" Harry couldn't help but ask.

A year later and Harry found himself settled into a nice routine, for the most part his life would consist of relaxing at home and occasionally doing jobs for Shield. The only real change was also the random nights he would spend with Hill, apparently she liked their first night enough to have a repeat performance. Harry didn't complain though, she understood that it was all simply physical so he didn't worry much about feelings being involved plus they had only spent a few nights together spread out throughout the whole year.

One week after returning from his last mission Harry received a call from Shield.

"Yes?" Harry asked as he answered the phone.

"Mr Potter," Coulson's voice replied. "we have a mission for you."

"What type of mission?" Harry asked.

"A rescue mission hopefully, we need you to find someone and if they are alive we'd like for you to bring him back."

"Who?"

"Tony Stark."

....

Apparently Tony Stark had been kidnapped in Afghanistan after he had gone to demonstrate the 'Jericho Missile', a new weapon developed by Stark Industries. According to the reports that Harry was given he learnt that Stark was kidnapped after the demonstration and hadn't been seen since and was unable to be found by anyone despite various attempts at doing so.

Harry calmly sat on his sofa as he looked over the information he had received on Tony Stark. Harry knew who the man was, it was near impossible to not hear about the man when you had access to the internet and a TV. Tony stark was pretty much the richest person in the country, if not the world, yet he didn't spend all of his life enjoying his fame and money and doing nothing. Just a large part of it.

Tony Stark also happened to be a genius, even from a young age, and was able to build circuit boards and robots before most could even think about it. When he was four years old, he designed his first circuit board and when he was almost seven he built a V8 motorbike engine. At sixteen, Tony won the 4th Annual MIT Robot Design Award, when Tony was seventeen, he graduated summa cum laude from MIT. The fact that he had access to the money, equipment and education necessary to build those things definitely helped but it did not take away the fact Stark was a genius. Many of the inventions in his weapons company were in fact designed by him, which was why Stark had nicknames such as 'The Merchant of Death'.

Stark held a lot of value for his company alone as it was one of the most successful and rich companies in the world and a major supplier to the military. It was founded in 1940 by Howard Stark, Tony Stark's father and the man who ran the company from its inception up until his death in 1991, after which a man named Obadiah Stane was appointed interim CEO then Tony Stark officially took the position shortly after at the age of twenty one. Under Stark's control, the company flourished financially and built a ton of weapons. Of course the company did other things but its main focus was definitely on weapons.

As for Stark he was a party animal, if he was not inventing then he was usually getting drunk with women. Stark's father was also a rich genius who happened to work with Captain America in world war two, Harry suspected that Tony was sort of like Draco Malfoy but smart and without the whole being an insufferable prat part. Though with that being said Harry wasn't sure how much of a prat he was.

Tony had a few people he would regularly he would consider close, one of which would be Harold Hogan was a former boxer who goes by the nickname of "Happy". Following the end of his boxing career, he was hired by Tony Stark to be his personal chauffeur and bodyguard. Another person he was close to was Colonel James Rupert Rhodes, also known as "Rhodey", Rhodey happened to be an officer with the United States Air Force and liaison between the military in the Department of Acquisitions and Stark Industries, he and Stark had met at MIT and apparently had become friends from there, he had also attended the demonstration with Stark.

Another person of interest was Obadiah Stane, a businessman who worked in partnership with Howard Stark during the early years of Stark Industries. After Howard's death, Stane took over as interim CEO of the company and his brief tenure as CEO ended shortly after since he was forced to step down from his position to become the firm's second-in-command when Tony Stark officially took over as CEO. As far as everyone is concerned Stane is a mentor and friend to Stark, as far as Harry was concerned that did not make him any less of a suspect.

The last person of interest was a red headed woman named Virginia Potts, she had a couple of jobs before working for Stark industries in the financial department. After that she had become Tony Stark's personal assistant and the two had apparently grown close, Harry was not sure if their relationship was entirely professional.
