Chapter 23 Continuous Impacts
Wright and Changchu followed the other students out of the door of the Hogwarts Express and went down to a small, dark platform. The temperature at Hogsmeade Station was much lower than that at Platform 9 3/4, and the freshmen huddled together. A cold night wind blew, and Changchu also clung to Wright's side.
A bright yellow light was lifted up and held above the freshmen's heads, and at the same time a loud voice rang out: "First-year students! First-year students, come here!"
Wright looked in the direction of the voice, and the face of the person who had just spoken was almost completely covered by his long, unkempt hair and tangled, thick beard. But even in such a dark night, Wright could still see his black beetle-like eyes shining under his hair.
Who else could this person be if not Hagrid, the ranger of Hogwarts?
Wright looked around, waiting for Hagrid to continue to call out Harry's name. Wright hadn't seen this little savior of the wizarding world yet! As a large number of students poured into Diagon Alley near the start of the school term, Wright had been staying on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron to study Radice's manuscripts and had never come down. This morning at King's Cross Station, he did not meet Harry, and even strangely, he did not see the Weasley family.
"Wright, what are you looking at?" Chang Chu pulled Wright's hand, and Wright found that his hand was grabbed by Chang Chu again without knowing when.
"I'm looking for Harry Potter!" Wright gave up the idea of breaking free from Chang Chu's hand and said without hiding anything.
To be honest, if Wright was asked to choose the easiest resource to obtain in Hogwarts, it would definitely be Harry! As soon as you enter Hogwarts Castle, you can get in touch with him without even entering the castle. He is alive, and it is easy to cultivate friendship because of lack of love in childhood, and his personality is quite friendly.
When you gain Harry's friendship, many resources in Hogwarts and even in the British wizarding world will be open to you. The most valuable of them should be the attention of Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard in the world. Of course, whether this is a positive value or a negative value depends on the person.
There is also Hagrid's friendliness, which can lead to a series of side plots from Hagrid's cabin to the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts; there is also the friendship of the Weasley family, which can be used to contact the Ministry of Magic (Arthur), Gringotts in Egypt (Bill), the Dragon Farm (Charlie), the Secret of Hogwarts Castle (twins), Pettigrew (Ron), etc.; if you are a little braver and know what it means to know a man first, you can instantly become famous in the entire wizarding world... right...
"But Wright, this year is only 1990." Chang Chu whispered in Wright's ear. The two were now going downhill along a steep and narrow path with Hagrid.
"So?" Wright was a little confused.
"Harry Potter will not go to Hogwarts until next year." Chang Chu said.
Wright suddenly stopped, and Chang Chu stopped with him.
I said why I didn't meet Harry Potter!
I said why I didn't meet the Weasley family!
I said why didn't a girl named Hermione Granger come to find the toad just now!
No! Wright turned his head stiffly and stared at Chang Chu.
"What's wrong?" Chang Chu looked straight into Wright's eyes without any concern.
"Nothing... nothing..." Wright said with some stammering.
It's a big problem, okay! If Harry doesn't come to school until next year, what's wrong with you, Chang Chu? A new time traveler? A character not written in the original story? An exchange student from an ancient civilization?
Wait! No way! A flash of lightning flashed through Wright's mind, a girl, black hair, black eyes, one year higher than Harry.
"Chang Chu, are you sure your name is Chang Chu?" Wright didn't use English this time, but asked Chang Chu in pure Chinese, "Or is your actual surname Zhang? Or do you have another surname called Liang?"
"Wright! You can actually speak Chinese! We are really a perfect match!" Chang Chu's face showed an unusually surprised look. Whenever you are in a foreign country, the language of your hometown can always bring you deep feelings.
Wright was a little disappointed with Chang Chu's Chinese accent with a Northeastern accent. He pretended not to hear what she just said, "We are a perfect match" and continued to ask, "Chang Chu, you haven't answered my question yet. Is your name really Chang Chu?"
"Of course!" Chang Chu nodded. At this time, the freshmen had already crossed the narrow path under the leadership of Hagrid and came to the edge of a large lake.
"Wright! Look! Hogwarts Castle!" Chang Chu pointed to the towering castle on the other side of the lake with some excitement. Under the shining white moonlight, the Hogwarts Castle with towering spires in the distance exuded an ancient and mysterious charm.
What's so good about this broken castle! You can see enough for the next seven years! Wright complained in his heart, the most important thing now is to find out what your identity is, Chang Chu?
"Next we are going to cross the lake! Note that there should be no more than four people on each boat!" Hagrid pointed to the boat moored on the shore and said loudly.
Wright and Chang Chu got on the boat together, and another man and woman followed. After making sure everyone was on board, Hagrid immediately directed all the boats to head towards Hogwarts Castle.
"But didn't you say your father is a wizard who works for the British Ministry of Magic?" Wright was still a little unwilling to give up, and continued to ask Chang Chu, "In that case, shouldn't your name be an English name?"
The pair of freshmen sitting opposite the two of them did not know whether they were nervous because they were about to be sorted, or because they did not understand the Chinese spoken by Wright at all. They remained silent and speechless.
"Lite, I am sure that my father's surname is Chang, and I am extremely sure that my name is Chang Chu." Chang Chu said word for word, "But I think you seem to have been mistaken about one thing."
"My father is not British." Chang Chu said.
"?" Wright didn't say anything, but his expression showed doubts.
"My father's position in the Ministry of Magic is..." Chang Chu leaned into Wright's ear, "Ambassador of the Chinese Office in the UK!"
As the first boats approached the cliff, Hagrid told everyone to lower their heads, but Wright felt it would be more comfortable to hit the wall.
The boat slowly followed a dark tunnel to the underground of Hogwarts Castle, and finally reached a place similar to an underground dock.
Wright jumped off the boat first, then turned around and helped Chang Chu get off the boat.
"Chang Chu, do you know what a time traveler is?" Wright made his last attempt.
"I don't know, this is the first time I've heard of this word." Chang Chu shook his head, "Is it some special profession?"
"No, haha...haha." Wright laughed dryly.
Hagrid led the new students to a huge oak door. After counting the number of people again, he raised his fist and knocked on the castle door three times.
The door immediately opened. A tall black-haired witch wearing emerald green robes stood in front of the door. She looked serious and looked difficult to deal with.
It was Professor McGonagall.
