Chapter 3: BURY THE HATCHET
THIS little shit must have done something to me.
Ki Gayoon believed that his assumption wasn't far-fetched.
Looking at the punk's uniform, he must be working for HoneyMoon. The company was legit, but the owner was a sly fox.
Having said that, Gayoon found it hard to believe that HoneyMoon was involved in this incident. Judging by the scene that greeted him when he sobered up, it looked like the little shit was trying to protect him from Ho Jungwon.
Yeah, the old fox knows better than crossing me.
"Boss!"
Gayoon flinched when he heard his people calling for him from afar.
Those bastards are late.
But then again, he was glad that they were.
He dropped the punk, but he used his telekinesis ability to make sure that the punk's head wouldn't hit the ground and die.
And then Gayoon looked down at the bulge in his pants.
Tsk.
They can't find out I got hard because of a little shit from HoneyMoon.
And the situation could be misunderstood by his people because he was half-naked.
That damned Ho Jungwon stole my shirt as if assaulting me after drugging me wasn't enough.
He quickly pulled up his pants and closed his fly as soon as he sobered up.
But he didn't have the time to get a new shirt at that time.
So, now that Gayoon remembered that he was half-naked, he pulled out a new crisp white dress shirt from his Inventory.
"Boss, are you alright?!"
As expected, the first two people who got there were the Gu Twins Brothers: Inwoo (A-Class Esper, burgundy hair) and Inkyu (A-Class Guide, blue hair).
"I'm fine," Gayoon said nonchalantly. "Did you catch Ho Jungwon?"
The Gu Twins immediately bowed their heads and apologized.
"I'm sorry, Boss," Gu Inwoo, the second strongest Esper in their gang— er, guild— apologized with deep remorse in his voice. "The Esper that rescued Guide Bambi was strong."
To be honest, Gayoon wasn't surprised that Gu Inwoo lost to the "mystery" Esper.
Mystery, my ass.
It was probably the #1 Esper in the country.
Ho Jungwon found a powerful toy this time.
"Raise your head, Gu Inwoo," Gayoon said, pulling out a pack of cigarettes from his Inventory. "You did well against a monster."
Gu Inwoo still looked ashamed. "I'll do better next time, Boss."
Gayoon just nodded while lighting the stick of cigarette using the small fire at his fingertip.
"Boss, are you alright?" Inkyu asked carefully. "Do you need Guiding?"
Gu Inkyu was the only Guide Gayoon could tolerate recently.
Of course, the kid's Guiding still hurt.
But he could endure it because Gu Inkyu wasn't a creep trying to take advantage of him for whatever fucked up reason.
Unlike that damned Ho Jungwon and the other Guides the government sent to me before.
"I'm fine," Gayoon said, puffing out a smoke. And then he looked down at the little shit on the floor. "I've already received Guiding from that punk."
"The kid is wearing a HoneyMoon uniform," Gu Inwoo said. "Did the sly fox send him to mess with you, Boss?"
"That's what I want to know, too."
"Then we'll take care of the interrogation, Boss," Gu Inkyu said. "Please leave it to us."
"No— I want to personally interrogate that punk," Gayoon said firmly. "Bury that little shit in the ground."

YUNO's body felt stiff.
He wanted to move and scratch his itching cheek, but he couldn't.
What the hell?
Annoyed that he couldn't move, he opened his eyes.
And then…
"You're finally awake."
Hmm?
Yuno blinked, hoping it was just a bad dream.
But the "image" in front of him didn't change.
Ki Gayoon— the scariest Esper in the country— was sitting on a wooden box while smoking.
Unlike his ragged appearance earlier, he looked like a proper gangster now.
Yuno had to raise his head while admiring the scary Esper's appearance, but it was worth it because his eyes were blessed by Ki Gayoon's coolness.
Most Espers wear cool uniforms, but Ki Gayoon-ssi sticks to his neat black suits… wait!
Yuno wondered why he couldn't move properly, only for him to realize belatedly that his body was buried in the ground.
He was buried from the neck below!
No wonder I feel stiff!
"Why did you bury me in the ground?!" Yuno complained while glaring at Ki Gayoon. "Is this how you treat your savior?"
Ki Gayoon looked unbothered and unapologetic as he continued smoking, looking down at Yuno as if he were contemplating whether to completely bury him in the ground or not.
And he definitely will!
"Let's talk about how you "saved" me," Ki Gayoon said, tilting his head to one side. "What did you do to me earlier?"
"Guiding," Yuno said, knitting his eyebrows in confusion. "What else am I supposed to do to an Esper on the verge of a Rampage?"
"Take advantage of me?"
"Aigoo. Why do some Espers think all Guides want them? You're not my type, Ahjussi."
"'Ahjussi?'"
"What am I supposed to call an old man like you…" Yuno trailed off, realizing that provoking the bastard who buried him in the ground wasn't a good idea. And, so, he backtracked. "Sir, with all due respect, my type is a normal person."
Ki Gayoon touched his nape as if his blood pressure was rising because of stress. "Stop being a smartass and just answer my question. If you know who I am, then you probably know that even an S-Class Guide like Ho Jungwon can't guide me. So, how did you do it?"
"Is it supposed to be impossible just because an S-Class Guide can't do it?"
"If you don't stop being a smartass, I'll bury you in concrete this time."
"I'm an E-Class Guide, sir," Yuno said immediately because he didn't want to be buried in concrete. "Sir, the only thing we should burying here is a hatchet—"
"Pfft."
What?
Ki Gayoon laughed in an insulting way. "You're an E-Class Guide? Isn't it just a myth? E-Class Guides don't exist, punk. If you're going to lie, then at least make it believable— argh!"
The obnoxious Esper stopped talking abruptly while clutching his chest tight.
"Does it hurt, Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi?"
Ki Gayoon glared at Yuno. "What the hell are you doing to me, you little shit?"
"Reverse Guiding," Yuno said indifferently. "Something only the "mythical" E-Class Guides could do."
Ki Gayoon's eyes widened a bit while looking at Yuno. "Your eyes…"
Ah, yes.
Yuno's eyes were probably glowing red at the moment.
Red eyes were mostly associated with Espers on the verge of a Rampage, but what many people didn't know was it was a characteristic that E-Class Guides shared with Espers.
That's why Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi looked shocked when my eyes turned red.
"Is this enough proof, sir?" Yuno asked lazily because he was already fed up with this scary Esper. "I'm Noh Yuno— a rare E-Class Guide at your service."
