Chapter 2600 The Death Realm's Crisis
Chapter 2600 The Death Realm's Crisis
The Bone Dragon circled in the sky a few times before gradually slowing down and landing in an open area in front of the camp.
"Turns out it's people from the Clayton Empire."
"No wonder, the Dragon Grave Mountain range is located within Clayton Empire's territory..."
"I never expected Clayton to have such a terrifying weapon hidden away. I haven't heard anything about it before."
"The Dragon Grave Mountain range has always been open to the outside world. Forgive me for being blunt, but to control so many Bone Dragons, one must have the necessary power..."
Earlier, several elite teams from the Clayton Empire had already arrived to offer reinforcements, and when they saw the Bone Dragon land, they were a bit bewildered.
What's going on here?
Were these Bone Dragons from their Empire?
A secret weapon?
Several commanders from the Empire exchanged confused glances, each seeing the same puzzlement in the others' eyes.
They had never heard of such a thing before!
Rio dismounted from the Bone Dragon's back, ignoring the admiring looks and hushed murmurs of the crowd. He made his way over to the commanders and bowed respectfully, saying, "Clayton Empire. I am Rio, from the Clayton Empire, sent to assist you in fighting the Disaster."
"Mm, you've traveled a long way, it must have been tough. With all of you assisting, I'm sure we can defeat the enemy in one fell swoop!" Commander Tigranth gestured with his hand, "Come, let's go into the camp and discuss the details."
Fang Heng also dismounted from the back of the Bone Dragon, looking around as he surveyed the area.
The death realm and other worlds spoke different languages, which was quite troublesome for Fang Heng.
He couldn't understand what anyone was saying and had to rely on Kotal to act as a translator.
Upon entering the tent, Fang Heng saw the commanders of the various Empires in the death realm deep in discussion.
He couldn't understand them at all.
However, from the looks on their faces, it was clear that the situation on the battlefield was dire.
After about half an hour of discussion, Fang Heng noticed that all eyes were suddenly on him.
It was only then that the Dark Clan members realized that the person controlling so many undead Bone Dragons was actually a human.
Kotal immediately translated quietly for Fang Heng: "Fang Heng, our war against the Disaster is still ongoing. We will soon attempt a counterattack on the front line, and we'll need to use the Bone Dragons' power. We'll need your assistance."
[Hint: The player has triggered a special mission-Death Realm's Crisis (faction).]
Mission name: Death Realm's Crisis.
Mission description: The death realm is being attacked by an unknown race called the Disaster.
Mission requirements: Assist the various death realm's Empires in stopping the spread of the Disaster. You will earn mission points based on your contribution.
Additional description: By accepting this mission, you will automatically join the death realm's alliance faction.
Mission reward: Related mission favorability rating, mission points (which can be exchanged for various items at the alliance camp).
The mission finally popped up.
Fang Heng glanced at the mission description and, after confirming there were no issues, nodded and agreed, "Of course, no problem."
Kotal glanced at Rio and then turned back to Fang Heng, saying, "Fang Heng, if possible, we would also like to have the Dark Clan's War Knights mount the undead Bone Dragons for combat."
Fang Heng's eyes lit up.
Dragon Knights, huh?
He remembered reading about them in the Creature Encyclopedia before.
However, those weren't Bone Dragons, but actual dragons! Their attributes were far superior to those of Bone Dragons, but only those with dragon clan bloodline could control them.
The combination of Dragon Knights and dragons was far greater than the sum of its parts!
It seemed like the undead creatures also had a similar combat ability?
Given his current soul power, Fang Heng knew that commanding so many Bone Dragons for battle would be a challenge. He would likely have to issue broad orders like "charge," "attack," or "retreat," without being able to fine-tune or control each dragon individually.
If the undead War Knights could mount the Bone Dragons, he could simply issue broad instructions to the Bone Dragons and have the knights handle the more detailed control. This way, the undead War Knights could each command a Bone Dragon, effectively splitting the workload.
"We can give it a try."
Fang Heng thought for a moment before nodding and responding, "Of course, we can try. But I'm not sure if the War Knights can mount and control the Bone Dragons."
"I'll go speak with them. I'm sure they'll be willing to give it a try," Kotal said, seeing that Fang Heng had agreed. He immediately turned to communicate with the Dark Clan members.
...
Ten minutes later, outside the camp.
The first three Dark Clan War Knights selected for the task stepped out of the ranks.
The three knights looked at the Bone Dragons in front of them, their eyes glinting with an excitement that they could not conceal.
Bone Dragon!
Every knight's dream!
This opportunity only comes once!
No matter the cost, they were determined to try and control them!
Kotal looked at Fang Heng and asked, "Fang Heng, is everything ready?"
"Of course, it's good to go. I will keep the Bone Dragons calm and cooperative."
Hearing this, Kotal nodded at the commander at the back, signaling the go-ahead.
The three undead War Knights swiftly mounted the Bone Dragons, climbing onto their necks.
Whoosh!!!
Under the control of the undead War Knights, the Bone Dragons flapped their wings and slowly lifted off into the air.
Below, the people in the camp watched as the Bone Dragons soared higher and higher, circling above the camp.
"Whoosh!!!"
Corrosive dragon's breath!
"Boom!!!"
A grayish aura poured down, creating a black pit on the ground below, which erupted with a loud boom.
The corrosive aura gathered in the pit, lingering and continuing to corrode the ground, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Fang Heng narrowed his eyes slightly.
It looked impressive.
The undead War Knights' ability to control the Bone Dragons was much better than he'd expected!
They were able to individually control the Bone Dragons, making them perform extreme evasive maneuvers, and even use the Bone Dragons' abilities—like the corrosive dragon's breath.
Their efficiency was vastly improved compared to when he was trying to control multiple Bone Dragons himself during battle. It made a huge difference.
Fang Heng's pupils contracted sharply.
Huh?
The War Knights could even combine with the Bone Dragons to perform special battle techniques?
Interesting.
Fang Heng nodded to himself, his gaze following the undead War Knights in the sky, who were now testing out various acrobatic maneuvers and skills. A look of approval flashed across his face.
These Dark Clan War Knights seemed impressive.
If he could convince a few of them to help out...
In the sky, the three undead War Knights controlling the Bone Dragons had become more daring.
Controlling the Bone Dragons was easier than they'd anticipated.
After just a few tries, they were able to easily master some of the ancient techniques passed down through the Empire to control the Bone Dragons.
The thrill was unmatched.
These were Bone Dragons, after all!
Compared to the original highest-tier undead soul warhorses, this was on a completely different level!
The high-ranking members of the undead council, watching through their mirrors, couldn't hide their excitement.
They too noticed that when paired with their exclusive mounts, the undead War Knights' power had at least doubled!
The undead War Knights were a branch of the necromancy warrior class.
And the Bone Dragon was, without a doubt, the best mount ever recorded. There was no competition.
Before reaching a transcendent level, it was theoretically impossible to control a Bone Dragon.
Thus, scholars in the necromancy warrior path were a rare breed.
To their surprise, however, the undead War Knights from the death realm were already so incredibly powerful on their own.
But the undead council was not weak either.
Gathering an entire legion of Bone Dragon knights was still within their reach!
