Chapter 32: Announcement
Chapter 32: Announcement
Rene's question sparked some interest among the Survivors. Similar to Shane, they thought that everyone had the same options in the beginning.
Shane recalled that he had a total of eight options.
They were A.I. Rebellion, Alien Invasion, Demon Invasion, Dragon Awakening, Fairy Realm Collision, Magic War, Ragnarok, and Zombie Outbreak.
However, as he continued to read the chat messages, he realized that even the highest had only four options while the lowest had two!
'I guess no one will believe me if I said I have eight options at that time...' Shane mused as he continued reading.
[ Wilfred#12 ]: Why are there so many Wilfred on this server? Anyway, I also have Zombie Outbreak and Ragnarok in the options before...
[ Wilfred ]: Oh... I guess I'm the first Wilfred to reach level 2, huh... Interesting.
[ Jonathan#35 ]: Wow... I had Demon Invasion aside from those two from above. I should've selected the Demon Invasion instead. This Zombie Outbreak smells rotten.
[ Travis ]: That's right. I think Ragnarok is also better... for those without Legendary Talent like me! Hahaha!
...
After reading through the chats, Shane learned that the most common Apocalypse in the options were Zombie Outbreak and Ragnarok. Then, those who were lucky to have three or four choices, they have Demon Invasion, Dragon Awakening, and Fairy Realm Collision as the rarest one.
It appears that the A.I. Rebellion and Alien Invasion were truly rare. Furthermore, there was no point in lying about the number of their Apocalypse Options, so he knew that they weren't lying.
Anyway, the Survivors had obviously become curious about the situation of other Apocalypses. Because of this, Raze's question was buried so easily, and he didn't see anyone replying to him, or perhaps, they just sent a private message to him.
'Tyrant Zombie, huh... I wonder what it looks like...' Shane muttered as he felt curious about this zombie in the sewers.
After all, the name of that zombie sounds terrifying. It must have some sort of ability that made it difficult to kill.
He was also curious whether Raze could kill it. If that was the case, then maybe buying the information on how to kill it might be a good idea.
With this in mind, Shane added Raze to his friend list.
To his surprise, Raze already had a request to add him as a friend, and he only had to accept it. It means that he already reached level 4, at the very least.
After accepting it, Raze immediately sent a private message.
[ Raze ]: Shane! Do you have a way to kill a Tyrant Zombie? I will pay you once I activate the Trade Function.
[ Shane ]: It's my first time learning about Tyrant Zombie... But I met a Violent Sprinter Zombie already. I can share my experience with that Zombie and you share your information with that Tyrant Zombie. Also, it seems you're not level 7 yet, but how did you know that there would be a Trade Function?
[ Raze ]: Oh... I like that Trade! I will tell you everything I know about the Tyrant Zombie. As for the Trade Function, I don't know at all. I'm just guessing that since every time my level goes up, a function of the system will be unlocked. I think it will not take long before the Trade appears as well. I am actually a gamer before!
[ Raze ]: So I have to reach level 7 to get a Trade Function? That's interesting... Hehe, thanks for letting me know. I will give you a Stale Bread in exchange if you want.
[ Shane ]: No, it's fine... You will know about it eventually. Anyway, the Violent Sprinter Zombie is a mid-tier...
Soon, Shane shared what he knew about the Violent Sprinter Zombie, while Raze shared information about the Tyrant Zombie. He didn't mind doing this since he knew very well that friends wouldn't just appear out of nowhere. He would have to communicate with other people and slowly get close to them. There were also people who might have other intentions, but in the end, he wouldn't know who was trustworthy without talking to other Survivors.
Since Raze was the second one to reach level 2, he felt that he had quite a talent, and both of them might benefit once they started sharing their experiences like now.
After some time, Shane ended their private message. It seemed that Raze was visited by a few Zombie Rats.
'Field Boss, huh... Is that Giant Zombie a Field Boss as well?' Shane mused as he felt that each area should have some kind of Field Boss similar to the one that Raze encountered.

After a few more days, a message from the Apocalypse System finally arrived.
[ Attention, Survivors. ]
[ The Zombie Wave is approaching. The Zombie Wave is a special event that will test your skills and your survival. The Zombie Wave will start in 3 hours, and it will last for 12 hours. During the Zombie Wave, you will face a horde of Zombies that will attack you from all directions. You will have to fight, hide, or run to survive. ]
[ The Zombie Wave will also have different levels of difficulty, depending on your location and your progress. The Zombie Wave will reward you with experience, loot, and achievements if you manage to survive. ]
[ Prepare yourselves, Survivors. The Zombie Wave is coming. ]
The day of the Zombie Wave had finally come, and Shane and Harper were ready for it.
They had spent the past few days hunting Zombies and collecting materials from the mining site and the plane crash site.
They had made simple weapons they could use in emergencies, a few traps, and barricades to defend their shelter.
They had also stocked up on food, water, and medicine to survive the wave. Of course, the medicine came from the Medical Gift Pack he chose when he reached level 8.
They were confident that they could handle the horde of Zombies that would attack them.
Anyway, since this was only their tenth day in the Fiend Continent, the Zombie Wave shouldn't be too exaggerated, or it would be too imbalanced.
Nonetheless, although the time for the Zombie Wave arrived, the day for the next inhabitant to arrive had also come!
