Chapter 252: Time to Leave the Shelter
The truth was that this Boss Raid that would happen in the next 25 days would not be controlled by the participants.
The system would be the one controlling the team creation for the Survivors to balance the event.
Anyway, Shane decided to check the Market first as he was curious if there were changes.
As soon as he did, he noticed that the Market was basically the same in other Apocalypses.
The interface displayed the options to Sell or Buy. These two tabs in the interface also had simple instructions or tutorial on how to use them, but Shane didn't bother reading them.
Shane then clicked on the Sell option, revealing a list of items from his Inventory that were eligible for sale.
Those that didn't appear like the Zombie Blood and Human Blood in his Inventory meant that they could not be sold.
Nonetheless, among those that could be sold, a Spirit Enhancement Bottle caught his eye. He clicked on it and it prompted the Market system to suggest a price of 200 Zombie Cores.
However, it was ultimately up to Shane to set the final price.
"Hmm?" Shane's eyes widened as he saw the fees that were written.
From that 200 Zombie Cores, 80 Zombie Cores would be deducted from him for the transaction fee!
With an easy calculation, it represented a staggering 40% fee!
"Whoa… I'll only get 120 Zombie Cores?" This was daylight robbery!
This left him momentarily stunned, realizing that the cost of transactions in this new marketplace would indeed be significant.
Shane shook his head as he realized that this would certainly make all the transactions in the market to be very costly. After all, in order to even with the fees, the sellers would probably raise the prices of their items.
'Ahh… Not really… They might lower it instead since there would be a lot of competition as well.' Shane muttered as he felt that those desperate right now might just want to get Zombie Cores so they could buy some things in their Survivor Stores before they get refreshed.
Anyway, Shane couldn't tell what would happen for now.
Shane sighed as he canceled the attempt to sell one of his Spirit Enhancement Bottle.
He then turned his attention to the Buy option, eager to explore the array of items available for purchase.
Upon opening the Buy section, Shane was greeted with a display of 30 items already on sale. Even the names of the sellers were included.
This was normal since he knew that there would be reputation rankings in the Market as well.
Those with high Reputation numbers beside their names would show how trustworthy and great they are as buyer or sellers. This also includes the increase in the item listing limit.
After all, everyone had only 20 items they could list in the Market. Once your reputation increased a certain level, the limit would continuously increase until it was completely removed.
For now, however, this feature hasn't been fully activated yet. It would only show up once 10,000 Transactions were made in the Marketplace.
In a matter of moments, Shane noticed that the number surged to 300 items across 3 pages, showcasing the bustling activity within the Market.
Everyone was probably excited to list all their unused items to see if there were people who might be interested in their trash.
As expected, just within seconds, the listings multiplied exponentially, surpassing 4,000 items distributed over 40 pages…
"Everyone's really excited…" Shane muttered after seeing the diverse offerings and bustling commerce in this virtual marketplace.
The sheer volume of goods available for purchase left Shane astonished and intrigued…
He paused for a moment and then decided to browse the items being sold, realizing the vast opportunities that lay before him in this dynamic digital economy.
'Let's see what kind of items they're selling…' Shane muttered as he knew that most of the Survivors were also doing the same thing.
As Shane delved deeper into the Market, he found himself immersed in a sea of listings, each offering a glimpse into the diverse array of items available for trade within this marketplace.
Among the numerous listings, he came across a myriad of intriguing items being sold by some known Survivors in Region 1. Of course, the names displayed were the nicknames of the sellers.

As Shane scrolled through the listings, he marveled at the variety of equipment and artifacts available for purchase.
"So Zombie Dogs could drop those items, huh…" Shane muttered.
From interesting weapons to enchanted armor, each item was certainly useful to many Survivors, but right now, they weren't good in front of his eyes. He still had to use his Item Upgrade Crystals if he wanted them.
Of course, the prices of the items were also ridiculous in his eyes. Everything was a mess in their pricing.
Even if he liked them, he wouldn't purchase them yet.
'I'll wait until the excitement dies down…' Shane muttered. He knew that the prices would be adjusted soon, once the sellers realized that their prices were too outrageous.
At most, he believed that only those who were desperate would consider buying these overly-priced items in the Market.
On the next day, as the morning sun greeted them, Shane woke up filled with energy.
It was finally time to leave the estate.
