Chapter 61
Chapter 61 – What a Coincidence, I’m Your Teacher
Shen Xinglan once thought that he would not survive. He was sold by traffickers to killer groups and spent hellish years on the island. Cold-blooded, cruel, and forbearing, he never hesitated.
Otherwise, he would not be reborn.
But now, he was at a loss, even somewhat helpless.
“Boss, Shen I answered the phone and went out.”
Shen Xinglan had closed his eyes. “Shanshan, I’ve been loyal only to you. That woman, what should I do with her…”
After a long time, his faint voice resounded in the car.
“In the futhure… Don’t tell me about her.”
Shen II was stunned and said, “What about Shen I…”
“Continue to protect her.”
At this time, A Miao was sitting in a teahouse. Opposite her was a man dressed in white Chinese-style costume.
“My name is Jiang Hua, thank you for saving me last night!”
“Even if I hadn’t shown up, the police would have been there soon,” A Miao said with a smile.
When she received a call from the man an hour ago, she did not want to come out. But his attitude was sincere and he had to thank her in person.
“That’s different.” Jiang Hua put tea into the teapot and began to make some tea. “Didn’t the doctor tell you? A little longer and my stomach might have bled profusely. It wouldn’t have been just an injury to the skin like this.”
“So serious?” A Miao took a look at him. “But you look like you have recovered well.”
The man looked fine except for several cuts on his forehead.
“Haha!” Jiang Hua touched his forehead and said jokingly, “We are quite alike, but you seem to be more serious than me.”
A Miao shrugged her shoulders and replied, “I’m fine. Mine just looks serious.”
The man opposite her did not say a word, he was just making tea gently and gracefully. Sitting there watching him was similar to appreciating an ancient scroll. Every movement seemed like that of a noble son, peerless white jade.
“Wow! Mr. Jiang is really like a scholar,” said Miao, unable to not admiring him.
Jiang Hua brought her the brewed tea. “Miss A Miao’s eyes are very fierce. You can discern my profession at just a glance.”
“Huh?” A Miao looked at him in surprise. “You are…”
“I am a teacher.” Jiang Hua smiled. “My specialty is archaeology.”
A Miao was excited and asked, “You… Which school are you in?”
“Fujing University.” Jiang Hua’s smile deepened as he added, “If I remember correctly, you should also be my student.”
“You are the handsome, rich, and young diamond professor?” A Miao said and scratched her face in embarrassment. “Oh, I heard what my classmates said about you.”
As soon as she had started school, she heard that a new professor would come to the archaeology department this year. It was said that he had just returned from abroad and was hired by Fujing University at a high salary.
Some students secretly went to see him, and when they came back, they said incredible things. They said that he was young and handsome, and they wanted to develop a teacher-student love affair.
“Is that what you think of me behind my back?” Jiang Hua raised his eyebrows and said, “Isn’t that an exaggeration now that you see the real person now?”
“No!” A Miao shook her head. “I think rumors are sometimes credible.”
Knowing that he was a teacher in her own school, A Miao was not as on guard as she was at first, and the two began to talk about some archaeological knowledge.
Jiang Hua was worthy to be a well-paid professor. He just used a few sentences to let A Miao understand what she had been wanted to know. So she took the opportunity to ask a lot of questions until Jiang Hua realized that it was getting dark outside.
“It’s getting late, is that a problem for you? I should send you home or invite you to dinner!”
A Miao shook her head. “No need, Mr. Jiang.” She stood up and looked across the street.
“Is that car here to pick you up?” Jiang Hua looked outside. “It’s been there a long time.”
“I’ll leave first.” A Miao stood up and saluted him. “Thank you, Mr. Jiang. Today I began to understand.”
Jiang Hua smiled and saw her off. “Just think of it as my payment for saving my life! If you have any questions, please feel free to come and see me.”
“I will. Goodbye Mr. Jiang!” A Miao waved her hand and ran across the road. Shen I had already opened the car door and was waiting for her.
Jiang Hua watched the car drive away before turning to leave.
“Shen I, next time, you don’t have to wait for me.” A Miao was embarrassed and said, “I made you wait so long.”
“How could I go?” Shen I shot her a glare. “It’s my duty to protect you.” Seeing that A Miao was still feeling guilty, he simply said, “Young lady, do you know the temper of the Boss in our family?”
A Miao looked at him and then chuckled. “Hmm, then you’d better follow me!”
“Is that man just now the one that you saved last night, young lady?” When driving A Miao over, Shen I already knew what had happened the previous night, and he had also called Shen II to make him tell the Boss.
“Uh-huh. And coincidentally, he is a professor in my school.” A Miao’s eyes shone when she talked about Jiang Hua. “Teacher Jiang is knowledgeable and gentle. He is really a good teacher!”
Shen I’s ears pricked up when he heard this. “Young lady, don’t underestimate modern teachers, especially those professors.”
“Why are you so excited?” A Miao gave him a look.
“It’s nothing.” Shen I shut up.
“Hurry up and report to the Boss!”
When he returned home, Shen I sat in the living room and waited. When Shen Xinglan came back, he saw this guy jump up and hop over.
“Boss!” Shen I rushed up to him. “The Miss, she…”
“Shut up.” Shen Xinglan’s expression was as cold as ice. “Don’t speak of her in front of me.”
Shen I did not dare to believe it and he also wanted to speak. But he was pulled away by Shen II.
Looking at Shen Xinglan going upstairs, Shen I still cried out. “Boss, the miss, she likes a professor!”
“What did you say?” Shen Xinglan suddenly turned around and said, “Say it again.”
Shen II, who had been pulling Shen I, stepped back silently. Shen I was filled with enthusiasm as he told the story of A Miao and Jiang Hua from the afternoon. In the end, he said, “The young lady is very impressed with the professor, saying that he is capable and gentle.”
“Go check it out.” Shen Xinglan looked into the eyes of Shen II.
Shen II nodded. “Understood.”
Shen Xinglan went upstairs with a sinister face and just saw A Miao coming out of her room.
“You’re back!” A Miao smiled and greeted him.
She smiled briefly, and Shen Xinglan saw that she had no makeup on her eyes.
“What happened to your eyes?”
“Huh?” A Miao touched her eyelids. “Oh, there is a wound on my head. Sticking on that artificial skin is really uncomfortable. Without anyone around now I’ve taken it off.”
Shen Xinglan turned his back to her and said, “Who said there is no one? There is an Auntie downstairs.”
“Auntie has to go do something today, and she won’t come back until tomorrow!” A Miao went around to in front of him and asked, “Are you all right?”
Because she misunderstood Shen Xinglan last night, A Miao’s attitude was especially good.
“Go away.” Shen Xinglan’s face sank. “Don’t sway in front of me.”
“This lunatic!” A Miao glanced at him and turned to go down the stairs.
Shen Xinglan kicked the door open. “So happy to meet a man… What’s there to be so happy about? Who can have a crush on her when she looks so ugly?”
He took off his clothes and stood under the shower, talking endlessly to himself. As the water fell on him, Shen Xinglan suddenly opened his eyes.
“Damn it!” He had again been influenced by that woman.
Downstairs, Shen I grabbed Shen II and asked, “What’s wrong with the Boss?”
“He said today that he didn’t want to hear anything more about miss Miao.” It was not often that Shen II discussed anything with Shen I.
Shen I looked at him in surprise. “I thought you would let me go!”
“Boss likes the miss.” Shen II’s tone was solemn. “But I don’t know why he doesn’t want to admit it.”
“You finally understand!” Shen I immediately cheered for his comrade. “So we have to help him.”
Shen II did not say a word. He had said so because of Shen Xinglan’s attitude. If he really did not want to see A Miao, there were 1,000 ways to do this, but it so happened that he only needed to make her stay in the school and only come back once a week.
To put it bluntly, he was not willing to part with her!
Yes… Unwilling… Shen Xinglan wiped his face, irritably left the bathroom and picked up the phone.
“Haha, why?” Le Yi said hello in a relaxed tone over the phone.
“You’ll be back when you’re free,” said Shen Xinglan grumpily.
“I don’t have time.” Le Yi asked again, “What for?”
“Come back…” Shen Xinglan stopped speechless. He also did not know what to do to make Le Yi return.
The man opposite was silent for a moment.
“Is it because of A Miao…”
Shen Xinglan shook his fist. “I don’t know what to do with her.”
“You like her,” Le Yi said straightforwardly.
“No, I like Shanshan.” Shen Xinglan immediately denied it. “It’s just that I haven’t touched a woman for so long, so I can’t help it.”
Le Yi’s sighing voice was heard over the phone. “Shen, I remember you said that you must face yourself at all times. Only in this way can you go forward and be invincible.”
“Two things.” Shen Xinglan remembered the scene when he said this; that was, before they wanted to revolt, everyone worked hard to make up for every deficiency.
“It seems to me that it is one thing.” Le Yi said, “You actually know everything. Why should you ask me?”
After that, a beeping sound came from the phone.
“Hello?” Shen Xinglan’s face darkened.
“How dare you hang up on me?”
In order to avoid another dispute with Shen Xinglan, A Miao returned to school early the next morning. When she arrived in the classroom, she found that the students were very excited. After asking around, she learned that there was a big lesson from Jiang Hua today.
“Seriously?” In the third class, she wandered leisurely to the amphitheater, only to find that it was already full. She finally found a seat in the corner.
“You see, I said to come earlier. Now we sit in the last row, how can we appreciate professor handsome?”
“Don’t complain, we are not in the archaeology department. Are you not afraid of being driven out by the archaeology students if you sit in the front row?”
A Miao was speechless about them and opened her textbook. Several girls beside her suddenly quieted down, and then there was a bigger uproar. She looked up and Jiang Hua, dressed in a white Tang suit, stepped onto the platform.
A big class like this had never been so quiet before. The students from the other departments listened carefully as if they were archeology majors.
After the class, A Miao hurried out of the classroom. Just as she was about to leave, there was a sound behind her.
“Classmate, where are you going in such a hurry?”
