Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Although the upper echelons of Inazuma are mostly corrupt, these are not problems at all for Raiden Ei.
As long as she, the god, takes action, Inazuma will be able to get back on the right track immediately. In Inazuma, the god's word is absolute.
Additionally, among Inazuma's upper ranks, there are the shrine maidens, the Tenryou Commission's Kujou Sara, the Grand Narukami Shrine, and the Yashiro Commission. These forces are absolutely obedient to Raiden Ei's orders.
Now look at Sumeru. It's been five hundred years, and Takumi doesn't believe that no one in the Akademiya has realized their god is imprisoned, yet no one has come forward in all that time. Even Alhaitham didn't save the Dendro Archon for Sumeru—he only acted because his own life was disrupted. Sumeru is truly rotten from top to bottom.
"I want to kill them all and eliminate these parasites. They are enemies of eternity," General Raiden was filled with murderous intent, ready to take out her naginata and kill all those who had deceived and manipulated her.
"It's too easy to kill them directly. As a ruler, you must declare your will to the people of Inazuma and judge the crimes of those parasites. Only in this way can the resentment of the people be eliminated," Takumi's golden eyes radiated power as he stopped the Raiden Shogun, who was about to explode in fury.
It would be too easy to directly kill those in power. Just killing the leader of corruption would not suffice. Would killing Kujou Takayuki mean that Kujou Hitomasa wouldn't take over and continue controlling Inazuma?
This kind of hereditary power inheritance is ridiculous. Just because the Kujou clan fought alongside Raiden Ei during the unification of Inazuma, they believe they deserve eternal glory and wealth?
"I suggest you speak with your confidant, Yae Miko. She will give you good advice. If possible, call the person in charge of the Yashiro Commission. After clearing out the corruption, they can help resolve most of the survival issues faced by the people and set Inazuma back on track."
"Once Inazuma is back on the right track, I will build the World Gate to the Demon Slayer World at the Grand Narukami Shrine."
As for problems like disordered ley lines and evil spirits, those would naturally be resolved once Teyvat's endurance became stronger by annexing the Demon Slayer World.
"Miko... Yae Miko has always been clever since she was a child," Raiden Ei suppressed her murderous intent and nodded. At the same time, she felt grateful.
This new Heavenly Principle was different from the old one. He had not sentenced Inazuma to death in a ruthless and indifferent manner. If it were the old Heavenly Principle, she would already have been punished by the Nail of Cold Sky for her negligence.
At present, Inazuma was plagued by evil spirits, disordered ley lines, and people dying of hunger all over the land. It was all due to her dereliction of duty as a god. While she hated the corrupt officials, she also felt immense guilt for the suffering of Inazuma's people.

**Kamisato Estate - Tea Room**
"Lady Guuji said that a catastrophe might befall Inazuma, and asked our Kamisato clan to gather some people and leave the country..." Kamisato Ayato frowned, puzzled by the sudden visit from the head of the Grand Narukami Shrine.
"Although Lady Guuji has great foresight, I really can't understand such a vague reason. Moreover, Inazuma is under the constant watch of the Raiden Shogun's thunderstorm. Even if we wanted to send people away, it wouldn't be possible."
Yae Miko, as a subordinate of the Shogun, possessed great supernatural powers. Though enigmatic, she never acted without reason.
What catastrophe could possibly threaten Inazuma? Would Liyue or Mondstadt attack Inazuma? That seemed unlikely.
"Hey... it's really troublesome. Even I can't do anything about it," Yae Miko sighed helplessly.
She couldn't tell Ayato that she suspected Raiden Ei's resistance to erosion was failing and that she had rushed to Sky Island in a confused state.
Kamisato Ayato was even more confused. "So, Lady Guuji, what exactly is causing you such a headache? If there's anything I can do, I'll do my best."
Yae Miko shook her head. Even if she told him, Kamisato Ayato wouldn't be qualified to handle the situation. Perhaps she had guessed wrong, and Sky Island had summoned Ei for another reason?
"Forget it, just think of it as me worrying too much. Everything's fine, Ayato," she said.
She felt that she couldn't continue talking with this young head of the Kamisato clan. Despite Ayato's outwardly warm and gentle demeanor, his intentions were often difficult to discern, and being around him made her uneasy.
Just as Yae Miko was about to leave, a familiar voice filled the tea room.
"Miko, come to the Tenshukaku. Bring the head of the Yashiro Commission with you."
Yae Miko's expression changed upon hearing the voice. Most of her original worries disappeared in an instant, replaced with a sense of joy tinged with resentment.
"Ei, you finally remembered me. You left everything to the Shogun, hiding away from everyone. Even if I died one day, you wouldn't come out," she muttered.
It had been five hundred years, and she could count on one hand how many times she'd seen her god. Moreover, the Raiden Shogun was rigid, and Inazuma had fallen into disarray.
But she had no choice. She couldn't simply barge into the Tenshukaku and instruct the Shogun on how to govern. She was just a humble kitsune.
"Thank you for all your hard work, Miko. We'll wait until you get to the Tenshukaku," Raiden Ei said, her voice holding a note of guilt. In the scenes she had seen, Miko worked tirelessly alongside the shrine maidens of the Grand Narukami Shrine, suppressing evil spirits and leyline disorders.
Thanks to Miko's efforts, Narukami Island had fewer disturbances than other parts of Inazuma.
"Alright, I'll be there soon. No doubt, once I arrive, you'll just give me some orders and hide away again," Yae Miko said, her voice filled with playful resentment.
Among all the people of Inazuma, Yae Miko was the only one bold enough to speak to the god in such a manner. Kamisato Ayato kept his eyes closed, pretending to be oblivious.
"Alright, stop pretending to be clueless, Ayato. Come with me to the Tenshukaku," Yae Miko said, rising gracefully from the tea room.
"Yes, Lady Guuji," Kamisato Ayato replied. Although he had developed the discipline to handle even the most difficult situations with calm composure, he couldn't help feeling nervous about being summoned by the Raiden Shogun.
Though he often saw the Shogun when handling official matters, being summoned by her held an entirely different significance.
What could the Shogun possibly want from him?
---
Soon, Yae Miko and Kamisato Ayato arrived at the Tenshukaku.
General Raiden was kneeling before her desk, reviewing the reports submitted by the Tenryou and Kanjou Commissions, her expression cold and unreadable. Beside her was a young man, unfamiliar yet exuding a mysterious aura, who was reading the reports with casual interest.
This shocked Yae Miko and Kamisato Ayato.
The casual perusal of reports that only the Shogun could read was highly transgressive, even blasphemous. Yet Raiden Shogun didn't seem to mind, nor did she show any sign of displeasure.
The young man appeared relaxed and comfortable, as if he belonged there.
Who was he? How could he be so bold?
Raiden Ei raised her head and looked at the two who had just arrived, suppressing the anger and murderous intent she felt.
"Miko, Ayato of the Yashiro Commission, you are here."
