Gate of Immortality

Before reaching the ninth layer of the first stage, one can only have one subsidiary soul according to the Myriad Soul Controlling Technique.

  However, Yang Shi could feel the connection with two of his subsidiary soul. But no matter how much he searched, he couldn't find them.

Yang Shi pondered a while when suddenly, the Azure Lotus and Crimson Lily in his dantian flashed again. Yang Shi saw that the two flowers looked even livelier. He tried to activate them with his spiritual qi.

Yang Shi focused as he activated the Myriad Soul Controlling Formula. He was surprised to find that there were two flows of soul qi in his body. One was from his main soul and the second was coming from the Azure Lotus.

The soul qi coming from the Azure Lotus was slightly azure in color. But Yang Shi was able to merge them to use at once. He felt the radius of his divine sense double and it also became steadier.

What shocked Yang Shi most was the power of his soul qi. Even though his main soul is small now, the power of his soul qi was doubled. Yang Shi realized that the azure colored soul qi can increase the power and tangibility of his soul qi.

Since his sea of consciousness was brimming with soul qi, Yang Shi decided to give it a try. He took out his talisman brush and paper and started making talismans.

His hands moved quickly as he drew patterns on the paper. Yang Shi was surprised to see that his consumption of soul qi was decreased and his speed of inscription has increased.

Previously, Yang Shi took around thirty minutes to make a rank one talisman. But now, It barely took ten minutes to craft one.

Yang Shi crafted more than ten rank one talismans and still felt that he still had quite an amount of soul qi.

" With such a soul strength, I can finally make True grade weapons." Yang Shi was elated.

  Although he didn't know why the Azure Lotus and Crimson Lily would act like that, it looks like a blessing in disguise. At least the Azure Lotus spirit helped him to increase his soul strength.

" Young master, Are you ok?!"

Bai Ruxue opened the door as she went inside. Not before long, She heard some groaning sound from Yang Shi's room.

When she opened the door, she covered her mouth in shock. Yang Shi was sitting cross legged completely naked, with his entire body bathed in sweat.

" Ah, Ruxue, Why are you here?" Yang Shi was surprised as he asked.

" I heard some sounds coming from your room. You master, please put on some clothes." Bai Ruxue giggled as she spoke.

Then Yang Shi realized that he was sitting naked, but he didn't mind as he stood up. Moreover, his little brother had already gotten up to greet Bai Ruxue.

" It's not like you never saw my full body. This is my place, I can do whatever I want." Yang Shi chuckled.

" Young master, You are so shameless!" Bai Ruxue couldn't help buts spat.

" Hehe!" Yang Shi suddenly moved as he grabbed Bai Ruxue by her waist. With his nimble hands, he took off the dress of Bai Ruxue.

" See? Now, we are both naked." Yang Shi laughed as he looked at Bai Ruxue's stunning body.

" Ahh, Young master! You big baddie!" Bai Ruxue realized what happened as she hammered her fists on Yang Shi's chest. But all Yang Shi felt was ticklish.

" Anyway, Ruxue, I have an important matter to discuss."  Yang Shi took her to the bed as he spoke with a straight face.

" Important matter? On the bed?" Bai Ruxue stared at Yang Shi with judging eyes.

" Errm, It's not what you think." Yang Shi understood what Bai Ruxue meant as he was embarrassed. Although he would like to do it, he had a more important task on hand.

" I have a method to awake your soul before reaching Violet Palace Expansion Realm. So, are you ready?" Yang Shi asked.

" Young master, Is it really possible?" 

Bai Ruxue asked with a hopeful gaze. She knew that only those blessed by heaven can awaken their soul before reaching Violet Palace Expansion Realm.

" You have Nine Yin Empyrean Physique, an Immortal physique with the technique of Jade Empyrean Heavenly Art. Even without external help, awakening your soul will be much easier." Yang Shi explained.

Bai Ruxue nodded as she lay on the bed. Yang Shi quickly used his acupuncture technique as he pricked the needles in Bai Ruxue's acupoints.

The final needle was inserted in the middle of his forehead as Yang Shi gently used his soul qi. The stands of soul qi went through the needles as it concentrated near Bai Ruxue's forehead.

" Bai Ruxue, Focus near your forehead. Feel the doorway of your soul and open it." Yang Shi used his divine sense to transmit his thought.

" Yo-Young master?!" Bai Ruxue became drowsy as she mumbled.

She suddenly felt she was in a dark place, with no traces of light. He could hear the echoes of Yang Shi's voice, but she couldn't grasp the direction.

" Young master, Where are you!" She shouted loudly. She tried to move, but she felt there were invisible shackles around her.

" Come to me, Ruxue!" Yang Shi's voice echoed again.

Bai Ruxue mustered her strength as she tried to break the invisible chains. Suddenly, he circulated her cultivation technique as she used her Jade Yin qi.

Bit by bit, she stood up as she started to walk. The more she used the Jade Yin qi, the easier she could move. 

Suddenly, she saw a dot of light far away. Even though it was a small dot, its radiance pierced through the darkness.

Bai Ruxue dashed toward the dot of light, but suddenly she was again blocked by an invisible wall.

" Break! BREAK!"  Bai Ruxue bombarded the invisible wall with all of her strength. Although she could hear a subtle cracking sound, the wall was still there.

" Young master, I can't break it!" Bai Ruxue muttered.

" Don't worry, I am here." Yang Shi's voice echoed as the dot of light became bigger and bigger.

Bai Ruxue suddenly saw the dot of light near her as it slowly took humanoid shape. It's finally turned into the shape of Yang Shi.

" Young master!" She tried to grab him, but the invisible wall blocked her.

" Let me help you." Yang Shi's soul qi spoke as he put his hands on the invisible wall.

Bai Ruxue also put her hands there. Suddenly, she felt the entire space was rumbling as cracking sounds spread.

Bai Ruxue suddenly felt a burst of mental calmness, as if she was floating in the air. She felt she could sense every change in her body and her surrounding.

Her body became bright like Yang Shi's figure as she was finally able to touch him. But the moment she touched, Yang Shi's figure vanished like smoke.

Bai Ruxue's eyes slowly opened as she saw Yang Shi was sitting beside her. She felt her perception has been increased and there was another type of energy she could use.

" See, Ruxue? You can use your soul qi now." Yang Shi smiled.

" Back then? How did you enter in me, Young Master?" Bai Ruxue asked.

" Entered in you? I didn't do anything while you were unconscious?" 

Yang Shi's expression turned odd. Although Bai Ruxue was lying naked, Yang Shi already restrained his thoughts.

Bai Ruxue blushed as she was misunderstood. " I mean, That place, How did you appear out of thin air?"

" Oh, That? I used my divine sense to stimulate your soul. That was my manifestation of soul qi." Yang Shi answered as he removed all the needles.

" Ruxue, You are covered in sweat. Let's go and clean ourselves." Yang Shi chuckled as he gulped his saliva.

But before Bai Ruxue could answer, Yang Shi frowned as he heard some commotion outside.

" Sigh, Ruxue, You go and take a bath.. I will go outside."
