As the discussion continued, the tent flap rustled, and a young shinobi entered, saluting Tsunade. "Tsunade-sama, there's been no movement from the Cloud forces. It’s unusually quiet."
Tsunade nodded, her brow furrowed in thought. "Stay vigilant. They might be planning something."
In the shadows, the two cloaked figures stood silently, their presence imposing even in their stillness. Tsunade glanced at them, knowing their time would come soon.
On the battlefield, the Cloud forces remained eerily quiet. Raikage A and Killer Bee were nowhere to be seen, and the tension grew thicker with each passing moment. The calm before the storm was unsettling, leaving everyone on edge.
At this time, an Uchiha walked in, his demeanor urgent. "Hokage-sama's orders!" he announced, handing a scroll to Tsunade and the gathered Jonin. Tsunade quickly unrolled it, her eyes scanning the contents. The Jonin around her tensed, their fists clenching as they read over her shoulder.
Tsunade's frown deepened, her face a mask of frustration. "Shisui wants us to attack the Cloud with everything we have," she said aloud. The room filled with murmurs of anger and unease.
One of the cloaked figures spoke, his voice low but clear. "Anija." The other responded, "I know. I felt Wood Chakra from that Uchiha." The first figure nodded, his expression grim. "Experiments?" he asked. The other shook his head, doubt and worry etched on his face.
Tsunade's gaze shifted from the scroll to the cloaked figures. "We know Shisui isn't a cold-blooded psychopath," she stated, her tone firm yet laced with concern. "Something is wrong, but we have to act on these orders." Her eyes were filled with worry, knowing the dire consequences of a full-scale assault.
The Jonin around them began to stir, their eagerness for battle palpable. "We should move immediately," one of them declared, his voice filled with fervor.
"Hold on," Tsunade interjected, her voice commanding. "This could be a trap or a mistake. We need to assess the situation first."
The cloaked figures exchanged a glance. "If we attack now, it will only escalate the war further," one of them warned. "We should consider all options before committing to such a drastic move."
The Jonin stood up, their faces set with determination. "We need to execute Hokage-sama's orders! Attack!" they chanted in unison, leaving the tent with a sense of urgency. Outside, there were voices calling for bloodshed. Trio inside the tent could feel that something was wrong. This much anger and bloodlust was not normal. Tsunade watched them go, her face etched with worry. She turned to Hashirama and Tobirama, seeking their guidance.
"What should I do, Grandpa, Granduncle?" she asked, her voice tinged with desperation.
Tobirama looked in the direction the Uchiha Jonin had gone, his eyes narrowing. "Do you want me to stop them?" he offered, his tone cold and pragmatic.
Hashirama shook his head, a sigh escaping his lips. "It will only escalate the situation," he said, his voice heavy with regret.
Tsunade's worry deepened. "The alternative is full-scale war."
Hashirama's expression grew even grimmer. "Konoha is already at war. Trying to usurp the Hokage now would only weaken our stance and lead to greater losses. We need to solve all external threats before we can address the problems within."
Tsunade nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. She couldn't afford to let internal strife tear the village apart when they were already facing so many external threats.
As the Kages returned from the Five Kage Summit, they reached a juncture where they received urgent messages from their respective villages.
"Konoha is attacking Cloud?" Oonoki said, his voice heavy with disbelief.
A's rage climbed instantly, lightning flickering around his body. "They're getting more and more irritating. Bee, let's go."
Hanzo's aura flared, momentarily stopping even A in his tracks. "It seems my silence has given a false impression of weakness. The first time Konoha used One-Tail to wreak havoc in the Rain, I held back because the Hokage claimed innocence. But now, they're getting bolder the more I tolerate."
Without another word, Hanzo dashed toward his country, leaving the others behind. "Let's go," A said, following suit with Bee.
Oonoki, Renji, and Mei exchanged glances. "What should we do?" Renji asked, uncertainty in his voice. "Should we follow now that we are allies?"
Mei shook her head. "This might be a trap."
Oonoki squinted, thinking it over. "I doubt it is a trap. Princess Tsunade is there too. Konoha would never sacrifice her."
Mei looked surprised but then nodded. "That's true."
Renji looked between them, still uncertain. His position was weaker compared to the other Kage. If A found fault, it would be on his head. But he was spared the decision when Oonoki said, "Let's go and take a look. If we can destroy Konoha forces, it will reduce their stance."
The Kages moved swiftly, their guards following close behind. As they approached the battlefield, the sight before them was grim. Tsunade stood at the front lines, her expression resolute. Behind her, the legendary First and Second Hokage were cloaked, their presence a powerful deterrent.
A's anger boiled over at the sight. "Konoha, you dare!"
Tsunade raised her hand, signaling her forces to hold. "Raikage, we are not here to provoke a war. This is a defensive maneuver."
Hanzo's eyes blazed with fury. "Defensive? You attack and call it defense?"
Tsunade took a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure. "We received orders from Hokage Shisui to secure our borders. We are not here to escalate the conflict."
Mei stepped forward, her gaze steely. "If that's true, then why this show of force?"
Hashirama, sensing the rising tension, spoke in his calm yet commanding voice. "We do not wish for more bloodshed. The enemy manipulates us all from the shadows. We need to find common ground."
A's fists crackled with electricity. "Common ground? After all Konoha has done?"
Tobirama's gaze was cold and calculating. "Raikage, we understand your anger, but acting on it without clear evidence will lead to more devastation. We propose a temporary truce to investigate these allegations together."
Hanzo, his aura still menacing, said, "Who the hell do you think you are? Hiding behind your cloaks? My name as Demigod seems like it's been forgotten."
One of the cloaked figures couldn't help but chuckle. "Demigod?" he repeated, his tone mocking.
Hanzo's eyes narrowed, his patience finally snapping. With a swift movement, he charged directly at the cloaked figure, his chain scythe slicing through the air with deadly precision. The figure easily sidestepped, his movements fluid and effortless, revealing the agility and reflexes of a seasoned warrior.
The battlefield grew tense, the remaining shinobi watching in a mix of awe and trepidation. As Hanzo continued his relentless assault, the cloaked figure parried and dodged with ease, his calm demeanor never wavering. "You overestimate yourself," he said, his voice steady. "You think your title alone will win you battles?"
Hanzo's fury intensified, his attacks growing more aggressive and reckless. "I am Hanzo of the Salamander! I will not be disrespected!"
The other cloaked figure stepped forward, his presence equally commanding. "Enough," he said, his tone authoritative. "We are not here to fight you. We are here to find a solution."
Hanzo halted his assault, breathing heavily, his eyes still blazing with anger. "You have no right to lecture me," he spat, his voice dripping with contempt. "Reveal yourselves!"
Tsunade, sensing the rising tension, stepped between them. "This is not the time for infighting," she said firmly. "We need to focus on the true enemy."
Hanzo's eyes flickered to Tsunade, his expression a mix of frustration and anger. "Who are they?" he demanded, his voice softer but still laced with anger.
Tsunade took a deep breath, choosing her words carefully. "They are allies," she said simply. "Here to help us navigate through this crisis."
The first cloaked figure nodded, his expression hidden but his stance relaxed. "We seek peace. But we will defend ourselves if necessary."
