Chapter 127: The Blackfyre's Plan III
(Third Person POV)
The city was overtaken.
In a matter of hours, 20,000 armed soldiers marched through the gates of King's Landing as the storm slowed down. As the Lannister forces tried to fight back, they were overwhelmed by an insurgence of the City Watch which was corrupted by the Grey Snake's influence. This made it easier for the Black Army to take the streets of King's Landing and shut the entire city down.
The Red Keep was placed under siege and the only dragonrider capable of combat was forced to be isolated in her chambers with her two children. Princess Shaena was furious to say the least.
Something happened in the dragonpit and many of the dragons suddenly fell asleep, succumbing to a strange green mist that spread from everywhere. The Drakeknights were suddenly taken out of commission as the keepers were shut down by a small force of 200 armed soldiers.
As the Black Army began to make its presence known, massive towers were erected all throughout the city. At the top of these constructs, there were large green-flame beacons that emitted a strange heat. Not much was known about whatever these towers were and what they did, but the citizens were greatly intimidated by them.
In the Crownlands, the Kingswood was overtaken by another army of 10,000 soldiers, camped out to cut off any movement from the Stormlands.
In the direction of Duskendale, there was another army of 15,000 that was stationed in between them and King's Landing. The King's Road was also constantly patrolled by several hundred riders that covered the entirety of the Crownlands.
It was safe to say that this sudden takeover was not something anykne expected. It happened so quickly, many soldiers were wiped out with brutal fashion. Not a lot of highborns in the Red Keep intended to fight back because Vaelor Blackfyre quickly executed those who protested anything.
The Queen and her children were kept imprisoned in her chambers, guarded by soldiers clad in black. Princess Myrcella and Nymeria were also imprisoned in her chambers.
Vaelor had the entirety of The Red Keep locked down. Nobody got in and nobody got out, there was not a rat that moved and he didn't know about it.
Tywin Lannister and his sons were thrown in the dungeons, along with their loyal knights. That excluded the Mountain, Gregor Clegane, who was nowhere to be found.
After a whole day, the storm had eased down and the entire city was under Dark Order control. Many citizens had seen several group of black-veiled women being escorted to the Red Keep, piquing their interest.
It wasn't up until the massive fleet of black galleons that people believed it was hopeless to fight back. They saw the vast amount of ships that slowly and menacingly approached the harbor and they could only feel dread.
**********
Inside the Throne Room, Vaelor Blackfyre stood in front of the Iron Throne as the doors opened and all the lords that were imprisoned were escorted in.
Soon after, Tywin Lannister was dragged in, bound in chains as Jaime was as well. The two were covered in dirt and blood, bruises on their faces.
Vaelor turned around to see them, "Well…." He said, "It must be frustrating for you, Tywin. That someone was able to not only beat you….but was able to do it twice…"
Tywin spat on the ground, "This is not over." He said, "There are still the dragons that are not in the city. Do you truly think Rhaegon and Viserys would allow this to transpire without them saying anything about it?"
Vaelor gave him a cold smile, "Viserys Targaryen is dead."
Tywin's face hardened, "What?" He said
"At the hands of my sister, Syras Blackfyre." Vaelor continued, "He died proudly. A dragonrider's death."
"I find that hard to believe." Jaime said as he smiled, "But whatever you want to think."
Suddenly, they heard Cersei exlaim, "Unhand my daughter!!" She shouted, "She is with child!!!"
They all turned to see several armed men dragging Myrcella and Cersei towards the side of the room.
"Easy with the Princess." Vaelor said with a frown, "She's a valuable hostage."
The soldiers silently nodded and gently let go of Myrcella who had tears in her eyes. She looked at her grandfather who was in chains, nothing but disbelief in her eyes.
"I…." She started
"It is okay, my dear." Tywin said, "Worry not for this old fool."
Suddenly, the doors opened and a large group entered. There were several black priestess that took the lead while more soldiers followed.
Then, everyone saw as a tall and young man emerged from the group. Dark blue hair and purple eyes, wearing a royal attire with the Blackfyre crest. He had a large fur cape that was covering his left side, a regal image he displayed.
Vaelor stood there as he looked at him, "My younger brother." He said, "Valerion."
Valerion walked towards where Tywin was being held, "Well well well…." His voice casual yet commanding, "The Mighty Lion, Tywin Lannister. Father was right, your lot is nothing but pompous pricks."
Tywin narrowed his eyes, "So its you." He said, "The Pretender."
"In the flesh." Valerion said with a slight smirk, "I am Valerion Blackfyre, leader of his Incursion."
"Blackfyre." Tywin said, "Nothing but a line of bastards."
"Legitmized, you know." Valerion said, "But wrong. You see, I don't just come from Daemon Blackfyre's line, oh no. The thing is, its much more complicated than that. I come from the Bronze line as well."
"Bronze?" Tywin said
"You're nothing but a joke." Jaime chimed in, "Are we supposed to be intimidated by a brat like you?"
Valerion smirked at Jaime, "Says the one who got done in by a small man." He said as he flicked his cape to the side, "I assure you, you will be intimidated in no time."
Tywin looked down and saw two specific swords on Valerion's side. He then recognized them and widened his eyes.
"Impossible!!!" He shouted
Valerion drew the first one and pointed it at Tywin's throat, "The true symbol of the King." He said, "Rhaegar only had Dark Sister, no? Well I have my House's namesake!! The Conqueror's sword! Blackfyre."
Everyone gasped at the sight of Blackfyre, the legendary valyrian steel sword.
Valerion then lowered the blade and walked past Tywin and towards Vaelor.
"Brother." Vaelor said
"Vaelor." Valerion said, "You did well. That will not go unrewarded."
"I expect something in return." Vaelor said as Valerion walked past him
"Of course." Valerion said as he walked up the steps to the throne, "From this point on, the City is under Blackfyre control!! Send letters to all corners of the Realm! Send one to Rhaegar in Winterfell! Tell them that if they don't wish for their precious Targaryen family to be destroyed to simply do as I ask."
Valerion then sat on the throne, he looked upon the room of Highborn Lords and Ladies as Myrcella Targaryen looked at him.
"Mother…" she clutched Cersei's hand
"It is okay dear." She said, "Nothing will happen to you."
"I am acting Prince-Regent, Valerion Blackfyre!!" Valerion then announced, "Starting today, crime and poverty in this city will be purged. Any criminal will be executed and any starving mouth will be fed. The dragons of the Targaryen Family will be sedated and those who do not wish to cooperate will be killed and fed to our Monster."
Tywin's expression hardened, knowing full well what this meant.
Valerion titled his head, "As for the hope you have for this city; Your dragons outside the City…." He said with a slight smile, "Viserys Targaryen is dead and Rhaegon Baratheon is missing. And I don't think Rhaegar will come so foolishly. Worry not, I will not harm the Royal Family unless needed."
"All we need to do is wait for The Dragon God."
