Forbidden Zone of the Human Race

Chapter 91: Headstrong

Xiang Ning was hesitating, especially since the young man was showing signs of expectation and desire. Don’t tell me… he’s been trying to hide it all this time? Fury Points do not lie. If the Fury Points he received were correct, that meant he wasn’t angry at all. “Hey, don’t tell me you’re aroused?”

The young man, who was tied up and couldn’t move an inch, was struggling to break free and shouted, “What are you saying! Don’t you dare accuse me!”

Xiang Ning felt something blocking his throat. Why are the Fury Points so low?

“Yeah! Don’t you dare insult our First School! We’re all honorable students, don’t you dare accuse us of being people who’d get off on being tortured by their enemies! I dare you to try again!” Huang Jiasheng defended his squad member.

“Alright, consider your wish granted.” Xiang Ning nodded and complied. They were the ones who were asking for it. He stripped off the pants of that squad member, causing him to turn beet red.

Huang Jiasheng was shocked and wanted to kill Xiang Ning so much. How dare he humiliate my squad member!

“Xiang Ning, you damned bastard!” If it weren’t for the rope, he would have fought him to the death.

Again, only three lines of Fury Points. Xiang Ning turned to look at that suspicious squad member. He felt his stomach drop and immediately ran out of the room. Damn! Why is that guy looking forward to it so much?! I’m only doing this for the Fury Points! I’m not even into it! He had finally figured out why there were so few Fury Points. That guy was putting up an act to fool his squad members!

He exited the warehouse and ignored the curses behind him. He grabbed Fang Rou without a moment of hesitation. “Let’s go and quickly find Lu Shiyu. We should ignore them.”

Fang Rou and her opponent were puzzled. Why is he in such a rush?

“Oh right.” Xiang Ning picked up the boy who was pretending to be dead and threw him into the warehouse. He locked it in one swift motion and turned to leave.

The boy tried opening the door from inside to no avail and started crying. Even Fang Rou was unsure of what had happened inside the warehouse.

“Hey, how can they come out if they’re all locked inside?” Fang Rou asked. She was still a very kindhearted maiden.

“It’s fine. As long as they recover their strength they should be able to break through the door. Think about it—they’re now wounded. I locked the door so that ferocious beasts can’t hurt them. They can open the door by themselves once they’re strong enough, and by then they should be able to fight for themselves.” Xiang Ning gave a random excuse and kept moving forward.

As for the boy who was still knocking on the door, he was on the verge of a breakdown.

“Why’re you still knocking on the door?! Quickly, come untie us!” A low voice growled from behind and he came back to his senses. It was a familiar voice and he recognized it. He turned around, but the scene shocked him even more as he saw how debaucherous it was. He proceeded to continue pounding on the door in a frenzy.

In Fortress Three, Li Bu was clenching his fist until the veins in his arm popped and his face was red with fury. Even headmaster Yi Zhong was laughing when he heard the excuse Xiang Ning gave.

Qi Jiuming didn’t even bother to be polite and loudly laughed, “I like him! He’s as sly as me!”

Even Hanwu Academy’s headmaster, Wu Zhishen, was laughing. He had long forgotten how Xiang Ning had destroyed his students.

“Fang Rou, don’t you think it’s weird? We’re merely passing by a few ruined cities and killing some of the ferocious beasts, so why’s everyone so angry? Isn’t this normal?” Xiang Ning sighed as he took her out of another ruined city. Behind them were a few students holding on to each other beside a mountain of beast corpses.

Fang Rou almost laughed at his remark. “Killing some beasts isn’t wrong, but don’t you think that you’re too dense?”

Since they started running from the warehouse to find their squad members, they didn’t even bother dodging any of the beasts in their way. Quite literally, they cut a path open whenever something was blocking or intercepting them.

That alone might be shocking enough to some, but to think that Xiang Ning didn’t even bother and did the same even if another squad was hunting the beast in question. Throughout their journey, all he did was drag Fang Rou as beasts fell left and right from the onslaught of his flying knives.

Just when the other squads were protesting, all he said was “Sorry, you’re in the way.” All of the squads fell for the provocation and wanted to fight him, but were instead swatted away like flies. Fang Rou remembered how she was able to hit Xiang Ning when they first met and sighed at his tremendous growth.

He was about to deny her remark about him being dense, but he was interrupted first. Fang Rou pointed to a ruined plaza not far from them and he saw someone being cornered by ferocious beasts.

“She isn’t wearing a combat uniform. Don’t tell me she’s a refugee?”

‘Refugee’ was the name given to people who survived in the wilderness. They were usually extremely weak, to the point that most beasts would just straight up ignore them. By using that to their advantage, they could easily pass through the wilderness and the safe zones, allowing them to trade precious resources for basic commodities in the safe zones. If any of them became martial artists, they would be sent into safe zones. To the ferocious beasts, a martial artist’s vitality was like a torch in the dark.

As for the safe zones, they would gladly accept them regardless of status. Another martial artist meant they had another person to fight for them.

“Let’s rescue her!” Fang Rou said.

Xiang Ning nodded and unsheathed his iridium sword. He used telekinesis to hurl his flying knife toward the beast closest to him at supersonic speed. In just a second, the beast’s head exploded. In a flash, the beasts fell as Xiang Ning killed all of them.

The refugee was shocked as she couldn’t believe her eyes.

As of today, Xiang Ning's top speed was 47 meters per second. His fast movements left the beasts with no room to react as he killed them.

Fang Rou didn’t back down either and fought with all her might.

In just thirty seconds, all five of the beasts had been slain.

“Hey there beautiful lady, let’s get to know each other.” Xiang Ning flashed a courteous smile as he thought about how cool his entrance must have looked.

Fang Rou kicked him to the side before she reassured the refugee, “Don’t worry, you’re in safe hands.”
