Elder Zen, Rosaline, an army of female paladins, and young priestesses gathered at an open field, a kilometer south of Balicano City. They erected a military camp there, preparing to siege the city.

Zen observed the construction of her camp in the sky. She also spied on the fortress city, guarding against the Swan House's vile men. At a distance, she noticed the atrocity committed by the Swan House's soldiers on the city walls.

A group of male soldiers was dragging a rabbit woman and stripped her clothes. Two men pinned her to the battlement. What came next couldn't be described in words.

Zen deeply frowned, enraged. She drew a gold insignia with her fingertip. A second later, five compressed water jets descended from the sky and pierced through the heads of the sinners.

The slave looked around her, confused. She screamed and leaped off the wall, landing on the ground. Relying on her strong legs, she sprinted south, fleeing from the city.

As Zen was about to snipe more of Swan House's men, a family of a father and son in the camp called for her.

"ELDER ZEN! COMMANDER CORNELIA HAD REQUESTED YOUR PRESENCE!"

Zen looked below and saw the man and his son. They were none other than Taylor and Hammer. The Jox Family had been tagging along with the Ocean Tower's people after the royal magi academy had been disbanded due to the cursed moon calamity.

Seeing Taylor and the promising youngster, Zen brightly smiled. She flew down and landed in front of the duo. She politely nodded and asked.

"Has Commander Cornelia returned? Where is she?"

Taylor reported, "She should be in the headquarters tent with Rosaline and other captains, ma'am. She said something about the intel from the priestesses within the city."

"Let's go then."

Taylor and Hammer happily led the way. Zen calmly followed after the duo while she secretly sized up Hammer.

No one could tell what she had been plotting under her veil and the sly grin.

Entering the tent, Zen found a senior paladin in her uniform except for her helmet. Rosaline and three other paladin captains were already there, including two guests. A female demi-human, who possessed rabbit ears instead of human ears, and a male counterpart were still in their ragged clothes. Their metal chokers linked with each other through a thick chain.

Seeing the new guests, Zen greeted them, "Welcome to the embrace of Eleanor. I'm Zen, the headmaster of Ocean Tower."

The slaves awkwardly greeted her back, but both couldn't utter a word. They stuck out their tongues and showed her a black insignia of a curse.

Seeing the curse brand, Zen could tell why they couldn't speak. She turned to Cornelia, the paladin commander, and Rosaline's bodyguard.

"Commander?"

Cornelia explained, "We've rescued these two from Swan House's men while these two were trying to escape from the city. When we questioned them, they claimed that they knew a smuggler's secret passage into the city. I bring them here for the gathering, so we can slip our troops inside the city undetected. Ma'am, what is your order?"

Listening to Cornelia's briefing, Zen brightly smiled, "You already have it planned out. You can launch the operation without my presence, Cornelia."

"No, ma'am. According to the regulations, we, paladins, are not supposed to act without your authorization. We still need your consent before we can act, especially during wartime!"

Zen sighed, "Very well. Then, you have my permission. Tell me if you need fire support. I'll get the priestesses ready."

"Thank you, ma'am!" Cornelia turned to the two slaves. She touched their chokers and injected her aura.

*CLANK*

The iron chokers crumbled into small pieces. Cornelia then ordered the two rabbit folks, "Can you point the map on the table where the path is?"

The two rabbit beast folks cooperated, pointing at the fortress map. The location was located in the northeast section near the waterway.

Upon securing the general location, Cornelia came up with a strategy in her mind. She and her paladin troops would sneak into the city tonight.

Meanwhile, a former Lamia queen, dressing in camouflage clothes and a bulletproof vest, shot through the sky, traveling north at supersonic speed.

A military helmet strapped to her head gleamed in the sunlight, while a harness, which was designed more for a sturdy steed than a serpent, strapped across her back to serve as Felix's makeshift saddle.

Tucked securely in Diana's sash pocket was an emergency beacon, and she kept the activation password in mind—Down, Up, Left, Right, Down.

Felix clung tightly to the reins, bracing himself against the wind as he rode on Diana's back. He could feel the speed and force of their flight but managed to steady himself. With windshield goggles on, Felix got to enjoy the great view over the clouds.

Jiji, Eins, and Zwei waited in his subspace, ready to assist if combat became inevitable.

As Diana cut through the air, Felix adjusted his goggles, monitoring the system map. Every few seconds, he glanced over the landscape below, staying alert for any signs of threats.

As they flew over Aero City, yellow and red dots started appearing on Felix's radar map. Felix ignored them as they were high up in the sky. He only cared for potential flying monsters or worse, a dragon.

Flying for 30 minutes more, a large encampment came into view through the clouds. Diana dove down, lowering the altitude to get a closer look.

The camp had just been constructed recently, and the knights in gold armor seemed to be busy crafting a wooden siege tower while people in black clothes practiced shooting with arrows.

Felix glanced at the radar map. Most of them appeared green, but the knights remained yellowish. A large green dot stayed at the center of the camp, lurking inside a giant tent.

Seeing the friendly signs, Felix wondered if he should get down to greet them and advertise about the new real estate opportunity.

"Should we go down and check them out?" Felix asked Diana.

Diana shook her head, "I sense water mana and holy aura from the crowd. I might get attacked on sight if they see me."

"How complicated. What did you do to them to make them hate you so much?"

Diana awkwardly laughed, "When I was young, I kinda picked a fight with a paladin of the Eleanor Church and almost killed each other. She ends up resenting me because no man wants to marry her because of the scars that I left behind."

"…Yikes."

"Yeah, she should have been promoted to a paladin general by now. I heard she fended off a 5,000-man army by herself. I'm sure she's as strong as a sword saint…"

Diana paused, feeling bad for Tanaka, whom she had murdered to survive. She also thought of Garudeer, her ex-husband. She couldn't help but wonder how they would react if they found out about their past.

As they chose not to get in touch with Cornelia and Zen's team, the group flew further north, heading directly to Balicano City.

Seconds later, they circled around the star-shaped fortress city below. The territory covered about 500 square kilometers, so large that Felix wondered how many soldiers the city would need to fully garrison this place.

As they circled around the city in the sky, Diana pointed at the cathedral at the center of the fortress. Nearby, a large mansion stood out, standing adjacent to the church.

However, in front of the church, a team of knights formed ranks, staring at the front door of the sacred building. A knight slowly walked out of the cathedral, carrying a priestess on his shoulder. The other knights in the formation sneered and laughed at the sight.

A few seconds later, more knights came with more prisoners. Some of their gray armor was soaked in blood. One of which carried the head of an elderly priestess with him and raised it high.

Felix couldn't hear what they were saying from the high-up. However, Felix was disgusted by what he was seeing.

"Am I seeing things correctly? Are those knights abducting those girls right now?"

Diana sighed deeply. They reminded him of her past evil deeds and her people, who ransacked towns and abducted men to populate their tribe. She swore not to repeat the atrocities again as long as Felix could solve the population issue. She took a mental note, planning to request him to spare some of his DNA for her people later.

Meanwhile, Felix was oblivious to Diana's ulterior motive. He ordered her.

"Let's swoop down and unleash hell. Diana, use your beacon. Remember the password?"

Diana came back to her senses. She asked, "Are we rescuing the people of Eleanor Church?"

Felix grumbled, "Normally, I would turn a blind eye to these local things. But just now, I saw a few kids among the captives, and those knights are stripping them."

"Say no more."

Diana might be a former predator, but she hated these types of humans the most. She dove down like a kamikaze fighter jet aiming at a US carrier.

Felix sensed that he might suffer injuries from a rough landing. He strapped on a jetpack and leaped off Diana's back, activating the engine and hovering in the sky.

*BOOM*

A second later, Diana's large physique crushed three aura knights in the formation at once, leaving behind a one-meter-deep crater. She looked up and licked her lips.

"Never mind that plan. I guess I'll hatch the girls' eggs inside you pedos!"

The aura knights were taken by surprise. They stumbled or fell upon the impact while the lucky ones only dropped on their butts or were knocked away.

Everybody looked over to see the commotion. When the dust settled, they saw a giant lamia, who stood on her leg, raising herself three meters high.

Diana looked down on everybody nearby and snapped her fingers.

"Welcome to eternal hell, humans."

Instantly, everything within a kilometer diameter turned into ice!
