Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 314: Draconic Moan Lv.3

'K-Kuhh…f*ck…'

Waking up to a splitting headache, Jason groaned as he inwardly cursed, momentarily forgetting that he was in the middle of a duel.

"Hahaha! Get up. I didn't hit you that hard."

Hearing the infuriating voice of his opponent reminded Jason that this was no time to be crawling on the ground.

"G-Get up! Boss!"

"You can still turn things around! Boss!"

Jason found himself unable to recall anything after the sudden, frightening roar, suspecting it might have been his opponent's skill, as he rose to his feet, clutching his head.

Of course, Shye wasn't in a rush to end things as he still needed to extract as many points as possible from Jason's misfortune, hence, he gave him ample time to recover.

Unfortunately for Jason, although his battered body had time to recover, his rattled mind was ruthlessly assaulted as the huge holographic screen suspended above the middle of the arena suddenly lit up, revealing to all present an instant replay of the recent events.

Naturally, Jason was among those who wanted to see how he was taken out.

'Tch…so it was indeed his skill huh…' He pondered as Shye roared in the instant replay. 'This skill is a one-time use as it could only be used to catch opponents off guard. It won't work on me again…'

Jason tried his best to remain calm and think of countermeasures, however, despite his efforts, when the holographic screen showed everyone how Shye whacked the shit out of his skull as though it was a baseball, an intense mix of emotions raged in his heart.

Fury and shame were among the most dominant ones.

He was doing well in controlling his emotions up to that point but when the holographic screen zoomed in and revealed a beautiful young woman with short marmalade hair trying her best to stifle her laughter, Jason completely lost it.

Shirley, the ice queen, was laughing at him.

"HRAAAAAAGHH!!"

Enraged and embarrassed, Jason once again madly charged toward Shye to redeem himself.

This time, he wouldn't be caught by that damned skill.

'Hoh…he's furious but could still think. Admirable.' Shye thought as he simply smiled confidently in the face of the charging tank.

A recognizable battle scene unfolded, with Jason charging straight ahead while Shye patiently waited for him to draw near.

Finally, when Jason reached the point where he had previously been struck by the terrifying roar skill, he suddenly halted his charge, just as Shye began to enter the motion of the roar skill once more.

Jason then skillfully jumped backwards to dodge Shye's roar skill only to be humiliated again a few moments later.

What came out of Shye's mouth wasn't a roar but…a playful moan, causing most of the audience to laugh hard—tears streaming down their cheeks.

As for Shirley, she was in a similar state to everyone else.

Her icy countenance utterly broke as she laughed just as hard as everyone else.

She knew that Shye was quite talented at pissing his opponents off but this was just too much!

A playful moan instead of a terrifying roar.

Crazy.

Jason felt like he was going insane as anger took control of his heart.

"YOU BASTARD!!! YOU DARE NOT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY?! WHY DON'T YOU FIGHT LIKE A MAN INSTEAD OF PLAYING PRANKS?! IS THIS THE SO-CALLED STRONGEST ACADEMY GRADUATE?!" He raged as he stared daggers at Shye.

"Woah, woah, calm down. You want me to fight you seriously? How could I when you're this weak and stupid? Even pretending to be Shirley's girlfriend…outrageous." Shye retorted with a mocking grin.

His meaning was clear: if you want me to fight you seriously, you better step up and make me!

Naturally, Jason also understood his meaning, hence, he finally stopped holding back.

"I was going to use this in the rookie representative selection tournament, however, since you wanted to die, I'll give you death!"

"Hahahaha! You sound way too mighty for someone who kissed the arena walls."

Realizing that Shye's mouth was way too vicious for him to engage in a verbal battle, Jason opted to just shut his mouth and let his skills do the talking.

'Dark Bulwark!'

Dark energy streams formed subtle tornadoes as they slowly converged towards Jason's location, making his body appear way larger, dwarfing Shye.

Shortly after, even his heavy armor set, shortsword, and shield were shrouded by the dark energy, expanding just like the muscles in his body.

Once Jason's transformation was done, he looked like a moving fortress, appearing as though nothing in the world could harm him while he could slay even the Gods in a single hit.

Shye simply sneered at his transformation though as it obviously wasn't as menacing as it looked.

With just one appraisal, Shye immediately noticed that Jason's strength, stamina, and vitality attributes were enhanced in exchange for a steep decline in agility and a bit of intelligence while the dexterity stat remained the same.

'Well then, let's see what you got, big guy.'

Grasping his Nightbringer tightly, purple lightning coiled around the greatsword's edges, roaring violently towards Jason as Shye charged forward and used his recent skill training upgraded basic skill, [Power Slash Lv.5], in a diagonal slashing motion.

Jason smiled upon realizing that Shye dared confront him head-on. Explore more at m,v l'e-m|p| y r

In his current state, he was even confident of taking on (B-) ranked creatures alone.

Charging forward, Jason slashed his shortsword diagonally upwards in an attempt to blow Shye's greatsword away in a single hit, highlighting his superiority in terms of strength.

*CLANG!*

Not long after, Shye's greatsword clashed with Jason's shortsword, producing an ear-rending metallic noise as two power-type warriors clashed.

Seeing the results where Shye was the one who was slightly blown back, Shirley was shocked.

She was just so used to Shye winning in a head-on strength battle.

As for Shye, he wasn't too surprised as currently, Jason's strength attribute surpassed his and the reason why he attempted a head-on clash was to see how huge of a strength gap can a greatsword bridge.

Unfortunately, a fifteen-point gap seemed to be a bit too much for a greatsword to handle.

Still, Shye wasn't disheartened.

At least he now knows the limits of his greatsword.'

Extending his left arm sideways, Shye smiled confidently as another greatsword appeared on his empty hand.

'Time for phase 2 of my point extraction plan!'
