Chapter 493: Final Battle (III)
*Whoosh!*
In the underworld, as a crimson roaring hurricane swept through the dim underworld, a storm of crimson magical energy unfolded around the body of Gilgamesh, who seemed insignificant compared to the colossal body of Tiamat.
Soon, a red cylindrical sword in Gilgamesh's began to spin, transcending human comprehension as it absorbed magical energy.
At this moment, time seemed to freeze.
As the world stood still, a web of crimson lightning instantly filled the entire field of vision, crackling silently across the world.
"I shall perform this final blow as a parting gift to you!"
"Enuma Elish!"
...
Noble Phantasm: Enuma Elish - The Star of Creation That Split Heaven and Earth
Rank: EX
Type: Anti-World
...
*WHOOOSH!*
In the next moment, a torrent of crimson magical energy surged like a storm.
*Crack!* *Crack!*
The very fabric of space, normally untouchable and unseen, seemed to shatter under the impact, resembling glass struck by a mighty hammer, revealing cracks that mirrored those in the real world, exposing its most fragile aspects without reservation.
At this moment, the flow of time and space was utterly disrupted. Countless rifts in space opened with the crimson storm, swallowing everything caught within, and annihilating them into nothingness.
It was as if the world was still in a state of primordial chaos before creation.
Simultaneously, Arkhan also launched an attack against Tiamat on the other side.
As he squeezed out every last bit of power remaining in the Herrscher Core to its limit, his black scythe transformed from illusory to reality.
When the crimson storm engulfed Tiamat's body entirely, the massive flows of magical energy and shattered rifts in space caused her colossal body to crack inch by inch.
Strangely, in her final moments, she made no resistance, merely lifting her head. Her enormous star-like eyes gazed up at the void above.
When this planet was first born, she herself shaped its ecosystem, nurturing countless lives. She loved these children dearly, and they loved her in return.
However, after countless ages, the future no longer welcomed her arrival.
"Don't leave me..." Tiamat's massive starry eyes slowly closed as a tear fell.
*Swish!*
"Finished."
With a solemn declaration of death, Arkhan's black scythe flashed across Tiamat's colossal dragon's body, completely extinguishing all of her vitality.
"Farewell, our mother..." Gilgamesh silently watched as Tiamat dissipated bit by bit, gently lowering Ea. "May you find peace in eternity."
"Is... it over?" Ereshkigal blinked in confusion. "Did we... win?"
"Yeah, Tiamat is dead, but victory in this battle is still far from assured..." Gilgamesh replied, raising his voice toward the empty void above. "Cowards who hide in the shadows, show yourselves!"
"..."
*Clap!* *Clap!* *Clap!* *Clap!*
After a moment of silence, applause suddenly echoed through the desolate underworld.
"What a splendid battle..."
As a raspy voice echoed, the oppressive aura akin to Tiamat's presence instantly blanketed the entire underworld.
While magical energy columns tore through the earth, a man stood proudly in the sky, adorned with ten rings on his fingers. His robe rustled with intricate patterns, and from a perspective surpassing that of gods, he looked down upon Gilgamesh below.
"A group of historical remnants actually managed to eliminate the mother of all upon her return..."
The man shook his head slightly, his tone tinged with some admiration.
"Though we stand on opposing sides, I cannot help but admire your courage and strength."
"Who... is that guy?" Ereshkigal's voice trembled.
From her perception, the man's body seemed to emanate an endless sea of magical energy, capable of causing mountains to crumble with a mere ripple.
Magical energy on this scale was simply monstrous!
"One of the seven great Evils of Humanity, a Beast embodying the concept of 'Pity', Goetia." Arkhan explained as he descended beside Ereshkigal.
"Outsider, you have no ties to this world. This is not your home. What reason do you have to fight for them?" Goetia looked at Arkhan, his tone assertive. "Your veins flow with the blood of a supreme dragon. The rise and fall of humanity mean nothing to you. Why risk everything for a race as hopeless as humans?"
Upon hearing that, Arkhan glanced at the 'Savior' now upgraded to 'A+++' and smiled.
"I fight for them, and I fight for myself."
"Unreasonable."
Upon hearing Arkhan's answer, Goetia knew the negotiation had failed. Without delay, he raised his palm, and within seconds, dark red magical energy weighed heavily as a mountain suddenly descended.
"Surely you're not alone here..." Arkhan scanned around. "Since a while ago, I've sensed a very familiar presence—Sesshouin Kiara, how long do you plan to hide?"
After a brief silence, a clear, bell-like laughter rang out before the figure of Kiara appeared.
"Ara, why do you think I'm in cahoots with him?" Kiara tilted her head at Arkhan. "I've helped you several times before. Don't you think maybe this time I'm here to help you too?"
"Simple. I've never trusted you." Arkhan said simply and calmly.
"My goodness, what a cold-hearted man you are..." Kiara chuckled lightly, though her eyes showed no amusement.
With the complete emergence of the Beast of 'Pity' and the Beast of 'Lust and Rupture', along with the recently deceased Beast of 'Regression', almost half of the seven great Evils of Humanity had now emerged.
This was undoubtedly a despair-inducing situation.
To defeat Tiamat, Gilgamesh and the others had exhausted all their resources, and the little fighting power left was hardly enough to turn the tide.
Logically, this was an absolute advantage for Goetia and Kiara, who had watched Tiamat's demise until now before making their move.
However, as Goetia looked at Arkhan's calm expression, an inexplicable unease grew in his heart.
"Since Kingu informed me of your existence, I've been waiting for this moment..." Arkhan took out a purple crystal, pulsating with brilliant lightning. "Now, it's time to end this."
As the Herrscher Core from the Seven Thunders of Retribution was embedded in the Key of Blankness, arcs of electricity instantly danced among Arkhan's now purple hair strands.
Arkhan lifted his head, his pale purple eyes gleaming with raging thunder.
He was in the form of the Herrscher of Thunder.
"Prepare to disappear."
After saying that, Arkhan raised his palm, making countless thunderbolts descend from the sky and illuminating the entire underworld with dazzling electric light.
*Crackle!* *Crackle!* *Crackle!* *Crackle!*
The violent roars were deafening, threatening to transform the entire underworld into a thunderous jungle!
"What the—?!"
Ereshkigal screamed in shock, instinctively ducking and covering her head. After a moment, she realized that the thunderbolts weren't aimed at her.
Each thunderbolt possessed power comparable to a Noble Phantasm capable of obliterating a city. Even Tiamat in her prime would have been instantly annihilated by such an attack!
This was Arkhan's surprise specifically prepared for Goetia and Kiara.
Feeling the terrifying destructive power of these thunderbolts, Goetia and Kiara's faces instantly turned pale.
In the next second, the rings on Goetia's fingers emitted a radiant glow, and without hesitation, he invoked a summoning magecraft.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
One after another, several demon god pillars manifested from the void, only to be shattered to pieces under the thunderous assault.
At the same time, Kiara used 'Multi-Colored Tranquility', creating whirlpools from which countless illusory slender arms emerged, attempting to block the thunderous bombardment but gradually retreating under the relentless attack.
In front of Arkhan, incarnated as the Herrscher of Thunder, even Beasts had no means to retaliate and could only defend themselves.
After a while, the thunder gradually subsided.
At this moment, the underworld was left in ruins, barely recognizable.
Such terrifying destructive power left even Gilgamesh shaken.
