Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Emiya and Tohsaka Become Relatives

---

"Your Majesty, the answer should be B."

Tohsaka Tokiomi spoke deferentially to Gilgamesh, subtly hinting at Kotomine Kirei and the others standing nearby as well.

"Tokiomi, are you trying to instruct me on what to do?"

Gilgamesh's gaze turned cold, his tone full of displeasure.

"Please forgive me, Your Majesty…"

Tohsaka Tokiomi quickly bowed his head.

"Hmph!"

The King of Heroes was clearly bored. Tokiomi's meek behavior did little to amuse him. He needed to find some entertainment on his own.

---

"Irisviel, are you alright?"

On Irisviel's side, Artoria noticed the troubled expression on her face and asked with concern.

"Ah, it's nothing."

Irisviel forced a smile, trying to shake off her unease.

Though she wasn't certain about the answer to this question, one thing was clear in her mind: Shirou Emiya couldn't be the child of her and Emiya Kiritsugu. She knew all too well that by the time this Holy Grail War ended, she might no longer be alive.

"Could Shirou really be Kiritsugu and Maiya's child?"

Looking at option B, Irisviel felt a strange mix of emotions—discomfort, but also a hint of relief.

"Well, that wouldn't be so bad," she thought. "At least Kiritsugu would have someone to stay by his side after I'm gone. Shirou seems like a good child. He and Illya could get along."

Artoria remained silent for a moment before speaking again. "Irisviel, what should we choose?"

Irisviel snapped out of her thoughts and said, "Let's go with B and D, one each."

---

[Time's up. The answers will now be announced.]

---

[A screen fills with flames, and the camera zooms out to show the source: a city ablaze.]

---

Waver: "This is Fuyuki City! What happened here?"

---

The scene of the burning city was all too familiar to the participants; it was indeed Fuyuki, the city where they currently resided.

---

Kenneth: "Could this have been caused by a Servant?"

---

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "What kind of recklessness led to such massive destruction?"

---

[The camera then shifts to a man wandering in the ruins—Emiya Kiritsugu.]

[He clutched Avalon in his hand, his eyes hollow, his movements mechanical.]

[Suddenly, he noticed something amidst the debris and frantically began digging.]

[After a moment, he unearthed a red-haired boy from the rubble.]

[It was Shirou Emiya.]

[The child showed an extraordinary will to survive, which was likely why he had managed to cling to life.]

[Emiya Kiritsugu then pressed Avalon into the boy's body, using its healing power to save him.]

[As the boy's breathing steadied, Kiritsugu hugged him tightly and began to sob, his tears flowing freely.]

[The hardened "Magus Killer" was crying like a heartbroken child.]

---

"What is going on?"

Kiritsugu was perplexed, struggling to piece together the events unfolding in the video.

"In the video, I'm still holding Avalon. That means it's after the Holy Grail War."

"And if I'm alive, does that mean I somehow won?"

"No, something's off. Why is Fuyuki City like that…"

---

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "So, in the end, it was you who found Shirou, Emiya Kiritsugu."

---

Kenneth: "I never would've imagined seeing you cry like that. It's a real eye-opener."

---

Waver: "Professor, shouldn't we be more concerned about Fuyuki's condition in the video?"

---

Waver: "The scale of that fire doesn't look like something caused by an ordinary incident."

---

Kenneth: "You're right. This is a matter of grave concern."

---

The reminder shifted Kenneth's focus away from bantering with Waver. The severity of the situation in the video demanded his full attention. After all, the Holy Grail War was meant to be kept secret from the general public, and large-scale destruction could lead to its exposure.

---

Irisviel: "Kiritsugu, are you alright?"

---

Irisviel's voice was laced with worry, but Emiya Kiritsugu didn't respond. His mind was too preoccupied with trying to understand what had transpired by the end of the Holy Grail War. He had no attention to spare.

---

[The scene shifts to show a grown-up Shirou Emiya.]

[He's standing outside an office door, with a young woman beside him. She has twin ponytails—it's the older Tohsaka Rin.]

[The way they held hands suggested a close relationship.]

---

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "???!!!"

---

Tohsaka Rin: "???!!!"

---

Kenneth: "Well, it seems that your families have gotten quite close, Emiya Kiritsugu and Tohsaka Tokiomi."

---

Chihiro: "Congratulations."

---

Tohsaka Rin: "Congratulations?!"

---

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "..."

---

Tokiomi was caught off guard by the implications. The thought of his daughter being involved with the Emiya family left him with complicated feelings.

---

["Knock, knock…"]

[Shirou Emiya rapped on the office door.]

["Come in."]

[A deep voice answered from within.]

[As the two entered, the camera panned to reveal a middle-aged man with long hair, dressed in a red coat, seated at a desk.]

[It was Lord El-Melloi II.]

["You must be the new students joining the Modern Magecraft Theory department—Shirou Emiya and Tohsaka Rin, correct?"]

[A glimmer of nostalgia flashed in El-Melloi II's eyes as he stood to greet them.]

["Welcome to the El-Melloi classroom."]

---

[The correct answer is D: Shirou Emiya is a student of Waver Velvet.]

---

[Congratulations to Waver, Chihiro, Artoria, the King of Conquerors, and General Tiangong for obtaining 5 Saint Quartz.]

---

[Bluebeard did not submit an answer.]

---

[Everyone else who answered incorrectly will lose 1 Saint Quartz.]

---

"Well done, you guessed it right again."

Zhang Jiao looked at Chihiro, a hint of surprise in his expression.

This young man was sharper than he'd expected, managing to answer two difficult questions correctly in a row.

Chihiro grinned. "Didn't I tell you? When faced with tricky multiple-choice questions, it's often best to go with the option that seems the least likely."

Zhang Jiao chuckled. "Your logic is unorthodox, but it seems to work."
