FATE of DxD

Meeting

Jun felt slightly weird at being thanked for his "mercy" after killing a member of the girl's family but thought no further of it.

"Haikami Jun. Despite, the unpleasant circumstance during which we met. It was still nice to meet the current holder of the Sacred Beast, Suzaku and I wish you all the best." He said.

Suzaku was quite flustered for some reason and just awkwardly froze, staring at Jun in a trance like state. It was Jun's Charisma and Dragon Aura, coupled with his natural handsomeness. The boy himself did not realize this though.

"Is it not urgent for you to return to your clan? Not that I dislike your company." Jun said.

Suddenly realizing what she had just done, Suzaku blushed with embarrassment and bowed as she said.

"It is as you say." And left without another word as if running.

"What is this feeling!?" Suzaku asked herself as she flew away on her Red Bird Shikigami, trying to calm her rapidly beating heart down as she remembered the powerful boy.

"Haikami Jun . . ." She muttered.

"It can't be that . . ." Suzaku said in doubt, realizing what her "symptoms" pointed at.

Back at Shuri's place though, the situation was quite awkward.

After standing around for a bit, Jun approached Shuri and Barakiel moved between them. Before he could say anything though, Jun just spoke with an ominous tone.

"Piss me off again and I won't care that you're Azazel's pal and that your wife and kid are watching. Get the fuck out of my way before I humiliate you again."

Barakiel faltered and Shuri just went around him to talk to Jun but didn't seem to know how to act towards him. Technically speaking, even she she did not agree with his way of doing things, Jun did nothing but kill someone that tried to kill him.

On the other hand, while she had no love for her uncle, Jun had humiliated her husband in front of the Himejima clan's people and Akeno so she was quite displeased but knew her husband was in the wrong and Jun's actions meant the the Himejima clan would thing twice before returning.

Not to mention the whole Bounded Field he spoke off whose effectiveness she had clearly seen from what it allowed him to do so effortlessly.

Seeing Shuri keep quiet despite coming forward, Jun decided to speak first.

"Hold out your hand." He said.

"My hand?" She was confused but held out her left hand all the same, Jun touched the back of it and a flower pattern that was bigger and more complex than Akeno's showed up.

"What is this?" She asked.

"The key to control the Bounded Field, you can focus on it to sense all of its features." Jun said.

"Thank you." Shuri replied.

Jun nodded and said.

"I'm leaving then." Jun said.

But Shuri stopped him and said, more out of politeness than anything else.

"Would you like to stay back for dinner? It's nearly the time already."

Jun dismissively looked at her and said.

"No need to be fake with me. You want me to leave and I don't want to stay." He declared.

Barakiel then turned to him and asked.

"Do you still have control over the Bounded Field?"

"Why big man? Wanna have a go at me if I don't?" Jun mocked.

"Since you are continuously being ungrateful, I have had just about enough of this." He said.

"I was doing the work for free as a favor but the likes of you proved yourself unworthy of the treatment. I'll be sure to send my invoice and if if I don't see my payment I'll dismantle the whole thing." Jun said before disappearing into the Imaginary Numbers Plane.

He used it to get to his Kuoh workshop faster and then wrote up and invoice and sent it to Azazel along with an explanation of the events and that he can stop expecting me to work for free just out of our good relations.

Back in the shrine, Barakiel was left mouth open, Shuri was feeling somewhat guilty and Akeno was in tears.

A few hours later, Valia came in to the workshop, already having çearned what happened.

"Damn! I can't believe those asshats! I wish I'd been there to teach them a lesson." She said in support of Jun.

"Bah! They're not worth it." Jun said.

"If you say so." Valia shrugged, still mad.

"Well, I'll stay with you tonight to keep you company then!" She suddenly declared.

"Ohoh?" Jun said with a raised eyebrow and a suggestive undertone.

Valia turned into a tomato in an instant, waving her arms around while flusteredly saying.

"Not like that! Not like that!"

"I didn't say anything" Jun responded.

"What do you mean by "like THAT"?" He suggestively asked, making her turn even redder and start to stutter.

"Hahahaha!" Jun just blew up in laughter and hugged Valia close.

"You're so precious you know that?" He said and the girl just buried her head into his chest.

In the end, they did sleep in the same bed but it was just an innocent sleepover and far from the first they had. Jun's bed was very comfy and huge so Valia preferred to sleep there and Jun sometimes slept there with her too.

Much to Valia's embarrassing though, no matter in which position Jun laid on the bed, he would wake up with the girl wrapped around her. It seemed to make her short circuit and run away in the mornings but she would come back to sleep in his bed anyway.

'Maybe when you're a few years older.' Jun thought. If he was being honest, she felt more like a little sister to him but hey wincest right? Not like they were blood related anyways.

The next day, Azazel called Jun in for a talk and Valia insisted on going with him. When he got to the Governor General's office, he saw Barakiel along with Shuri there.

"What's this?" Jun inquired.

"Come on now. Don't be so cold." Azazel said.

"Just an honest question." Jun responded.

"Well, I called you here to discuss the problems that occured yesterday." Azazel said.

"What problems? I was under the impression everything got settled and only my payment is left." Jun said.

"Well the payment for starters? Why do you want historical artifacts in such a great number and uncaring of variety?" Azazel asked.

"That's my business." Jun replied while Valia nodded behind him in support much to the fallen angel's chagrin.

"So the payment can be done with historical artifacts, treasures and weapons which you will evaluate until you determine it will cover the cost of your labour?" Azazel continued to ask.

"That's right, and all future jobs you may have for me can be paid in the same way. I specified all of this in the message I sent along with the invoice for my work." Jun replied.

"Just making sure. As for the relationship between you and Barakiel and his family-" Azazel started but Jun held his end up and stopped him.

"There is no relationship unless the big man decides to get in my way again." Jun declared which made Shuri's expression twitch a bit and Barakiel to frown.

"Surely you understand Barakiel's position." Azazel said.

"No, I really don't." Jun replied.

Azazel just looked at him.

"What? If he wants to let those pieces of trash insult and walk over his family, that's Barakiel's business not mine. But he had no place getting in my way after the old fool attacked me." Jun said.

"Oof . . ." Valia whispered behind him.

Barakiel looked enraged but doubtful and not knowing what to do with said rage. Shuri just looked honestly hurt which made Jun feel a little bad but it wasn't like he had lied.

Azazel just stared in shock. He was not shocked by the words and saw some truth in them but knew his old friend simply didn't want to antagonize the Shinto Gods behind the Five Families of which the Himejima were a part of. He was shocked Jun had the balls to say it to Barakiel's face.

"Do you want to waste more of my time or are we done?" Jun asked.

This made Barakiel snap.

"What would a brat like you know!?" He shouted.

"More than you think Barakiel and killing a few Himejimas out of a conflict they created wouldn't get the Shinto gods involved." Jun scoffed.

"Do you think they would want a war over the lives of a few worthless fools? Besides, whatever your reasons for allowing your wife and daughter to be insulted and mistreated like that may be, it still doesn't give you the right to get in my way when I wanted to kill that piece of trash." He added.

Barakiel only got madder but just shut up, he was losing the argument and words were never his strong suit.

"Alright, I get this was a mistake now, you can just be on your way and payment will come. I also have another Job lined up for you which will be paid in the same coin if you're interested." Azazel interjected.

'I just wanted to try and resolve the bad blood, not make it worse. As for payment, being around for as long as we have means we don't lack in that sort of thing since Jun said items with power were worth more but power was not the main criteria so they could afford to pay.' Were Azazel's thoughts.

"Just send the details my way." Jun said before leaving.
