farming life: pokemon

Chapter 11: Chapter 10: finding the first landmark

April 5th, serenity farm off the coast of paldea.

Season: spring

It has been two days since the guests have arrived and things are going well. The materials also arrived along with a second barge/ ferry boat for my use. My account has also been filled with the pokeyen that was promised. My Pokemon have gotten used to the new arrivals and vice versa.

My two draws were a seed packet for Hydromelon and hydrangeas. With them in my storage shed and the saplings and vines have been planted along with several flowering plants. With the saplings and berry trees get an area closer to the edge of the farm. While the flowers and vines are getting planted close to house with the vines are planted near trellises that have been set on the southern side of my house.

Today I've prepared to go out to find the first landmark. It's marked on the auto map in the valley that leads further into the island. I'm hoping to also complete the job of catalogue and capture new Pokemon.

< Journal entry 2 end>

I finish typing the journal and turn off the computer. Raising up I stretch and yawn as I look at the clock as it reads 4:10 AM.

I got up early since I want to be back in time for dinner. I've already gave the instructions to Gardevoir, Delphfox and Metagross on what I want them to do and for them to help lay out the foundations for the onsen building with hot springs. I would have used a natural hot spring but the property doesn't have one. Grabbing the bag and the two pokeballs for the Pokemon I'm bringing with me. Walking out the door I release the two pokemon and look at them. Darkrai and cresselia shake themselves awake and look at me. "Hey girls, I know it's sudden but I'm bringing you two with me to explore the valley. There's a landmark I want to find and some research that needs to be done," I say stroking their cheeks as they lean into me. Returning them I walk out towards the valley.

As the morning sun rises into the sky throwing color to the sky and the bird Pokemon taking off from their nests. The marsh before the valley comes alive as I walk through. Paldean woopers and clodsires playing in the marsh's mud bogs. Psyduck waddling around and occasionally knocking into stuff. A furret moves with lithe like grace across the ground and up the trees and through their branches in search of food. I see jaggi, Jaggia, and jagras battling for some territory around a large fruit tree. The jaggi run off as the jagras claim victory I write down in my journal and entry for both the jagras and jaggi.

A small and vicious Pokemon with a bipedal stance that's supported by a thick tail. Red and blue coloration on it's hide is possible camouflage due to their various prey probably not seeing the colors on their spectrum. Seems to prefer meat but are scavengers. Their claws are small with a large claw for hunting. They're pack hunters.

Evolution(s)

Male jaggi -> Great jaggi

Female jaggi -> Jaggia

A female evolution of the jaggi with a thicker body and tail. They seem to be the protectors of the best and young. There doesn't seem to be a established alpha female but the great jaggi is the leader of the pack as there is only one great jaggi in a pack.

A lizard like Pokemon that seems to be near the bottom of the predator food chain. Constant fighting has made their skin elastic and are resistant to physical attacks. They rub their bodies on trees and rocks leaving behind a secreted musk marking their territories. Their weak jaws are not suited for holding onto prey so probably scavengers. Possible evolution(s)

System: catalogue 3 new species ( complete)

I put up the journal and continue on to the valley. Making it through the marsh was difficult especially when I ran into several other creatures that I've catalogued as well as a lone female palico that was wounded. By the time we arrive at the valley entrance I see the landmark standing straight up on a pillar of stone. An old stone watch tower looming over the area. Upon entering and climbing the watch tower to the top. As I get up top I see a large stone tablet with old and strange writing on the face. It stands in the center of the room that shows a rough map of the marsh and what seems to be the valley.

I take several pictures of the tablet and the stone map hoping a friend can decipher the text. As I do something runs across the stone eaves of the watch tower before a shadow launches itself at me. I dodge the strong strike that leaves a groove into the stone floor before I hear a pokemon cry.

" Vie eev"

Out of the shadows comes a pokemon that resembles a more primal Eevee. Thicker and courser fur with a striped pattern. It's eyes sharp and large fangs. I look at the primal Eevee and send out one of my new captures.

" Hornitaur, use string shot," I say as the horn bug uses string shot but the Eevee charges forward and bites the string shot and swings it's head throwing the hornitaur across the room. It rushes towards the hornitaur and it's jaws light up in fire energy. As it reaches the hornitaur I shouts " poison Horn"

It's Large Horn glows purple before it launches into the Eevee both attacking each other at the same time. The Eevee roars burting in energy before it's shoulders gain energy before it starts spinning in a rollout attack.

" Hornitaur buggy buzz"

Hornitaur buzzs causing the primal Eevee to faulter and cover its ears. I throw the pokeball at it. The pokeball sucks in the Eevee and starts to shake.

Shake, shake, click.

I walk over to the pokeball picking it up and return my hornitaur. "Cresselia, teleport us home," I say as I vanish from the tower and reappear in front of my house. I walk in to catalog the new data and have nurse Joy heal them up.

< Data entry: Hornitaur>

A hard shell bug Pokemon with two pro dominant horns that secret a poison. With a large jumping ability this combination is strong and deadly

< Data entry: Bnahabra>

A flying bug that seems attracted to flames, the wings are green so possible variants like vivillon

< Data entry: Vespoid>

A flying bug that's skinnier than the Bnarhbara and seems to secret a dual poison/ paralysis toxin in its tail

A more primitive Eevee that seems to be very territorial and battle ready. Sharp fangs and claws easily tear through stone.
