CHAPTER 169: SWORD DRAW: TIDAL WAVE
The Male Asura's eyes shone with an angry light. He had entered the secret realm with the primary aim of dominating all in his age range. Only then could he gain some attention from the higher-ups of his family. However, not only had he miserably lost to an elf who seemed even younger than him, he had also been almost killed. The fact that the partner whom he came with ignored him and was now associating with a human further displeased him. But he could do nothing about it and could only swallow his grievance.
After learning that the fruits he was planning to pick had all been taken, he felt as if a volcano was about to erupt in his chest. He knew he couldn't return like this, if not he would only become an object of mockery in his family.
Left with no choice, he had to do all he had to obtain the fruits. Since it would be a fool's errand to challenge the elven girl who had defeated him, he could only divert his entire attention to the other party who had stolen his treasures. Yes, to the Asura, the mana fruits were already his. That was just how he was brought up in his race. Only the strong could decide the fate of others.
The group of ten humans was nothing in his eyes so without any hesitation, he charged towards them. Releasing his summon, the silver eagle, the male Asura gathered his strength and punched out.
Sure enough, he was able to singlehandedly dominate the humans. With his summon in the air releasing waves of wind blades like a torrent from the sky, the humans could do nothing but defend themselves. Making use of this opportunity, the male Asura charged into their group fearlessly, and not before long, six of the ten humans fell.
'It is good that the other humans are just watching from the sidelines.' The humans currently numbered the most in the area yet it seemed they weren't united. The male Asura decided to make full use of this opportunity before they changed their minds. As for the thoughts of them getting the fruits from him after he reclaimed them, he could only scoff at their ignorance. As a ten-star warrior, he had already tempered ten parts of his body. Not only were these parts stronger than the rest of his body, but a space had been created in them where a reserve of Ki had been stored. Unlike Mages whose mana was stored in their mana cores, the warriors could only store Ki in their bodies. But it didn't take a genius to know that the body would only be able to hold a limited amount of Ki. Too much, and it would explode. Luckily, thanks to the cultivation method created by Mama, they were able to form spaces within parts that had been tempered and store as much Ki as they wanted. These spaces were the stars that marked their bones after tempering.
In other words, warriors had a lot of stamina compared to mages. So he could fight without rest for nearly half a day before he exhausted himself.
Just when the male Asura was about to attack the human who was at the back and being protected by his other three members, his summon suddenly released an anxious cry in his head, and without any hesitation, he directed his fist to his side.
*Boooom!*
The Male Asura's eyes widened when he saw the air cannons generated by his fist split apart, and he could only watch as a net of silver energy fell on him.
*AH!* He screamed in pain as blood spurted from different parts of his body. If it wasn't for his strong body which had been tempered by Ki, the Male Asura didn't doubt that he would have split into his pieces. At the same time that his flesh healed at inhumane speed, the male Asura heard the angry cry of his summon from above his head.
Raising his head, he saw a boy who seemed even younger than the Elven girl who had defeated him, swerve around the blades of wind that rained from the sky as he closed in on him.
As if sensing the great threat approaching, the silver eagle turned into a light that flew into his body in an instant. Without hesitation, the male Asura used his secret technique and fused with it.
However, his eyes widened when he saw the small human boy quickly close the distance to him now that he was unobstructed. He quickly raised his arms in a cross to defend himself, at the same time, a ring on his finger flashed before two red gauntlets appeared on his hands.
'Once I block this attack, I should be done with the fusion. Then I will kill this arrogant human.' His widened eyes flared up, as the thought of being challenged by a boy who was several years younger than him made him almost mad.
'How dare him...' the thought had not fully formed within his mind when he felt something was wrong.
The boy had appeared before him a second ago, yet he didn't make any move. Instead, he bent forward and gripped his katana in a pulling posture, with his eyes closed.
'Something is wrong.' Just as this thought passed through his mind, a sword cry shook the area before piercing the sky.
*Zinnnnnnnng!*
"Sword Draw..." a cold voice was submerged within the still ringing sword cry.
"Tidal wave!"
"Click!" The Male Asura simply heard the sound made from a sword returning into its sheath.
'Wh-What happened?' That was the last thought that flashed within his mind, as several red lines appeared all over his body. A moment later, his body split into countless cleanly cut pieces.
With a thud, a massive pool of blood formed on the ground, and its metallic smell permeated the area.
Not even an Asura could regenerate from that. Like this, one of the strongest teens within the secret realm died, and he died at the hands of a boy almost five years younger than him.
"Kai?"
Theodore watched with shocked eyes as the young spiky-auburn-haired boy straightened his body.
.....
Two figures, one covered in a red aura similar to an Asura's frenzy, and the other shrouded in the image of a huge female elemental separated after colliding. Both figures came to a stop as if in agreement. A look of shock visibly appeared on Steven's face as he gazed at the spiky-haired boy who had the same hair color.
'Is that a true sword cultivator?' Looking at the sword in his hand, a look of contemplation appeared on his face.
Eleanor on the other quickly shifted her eyes from the remains of the male Asura and instead looked at the fight still ongoing tens of meters away from her.
A strange glint flashed in her eyes when she saw Tron manhandle Landon, as a child would a toy. The clash between the two couldn't even be called a fight, as every time Landon tried to widen the distance to Tron, the latter would simply raise his hand before pulling him toward his outstretched palm. And with a slap, Landon would be sent flying, before the same process is repeated.
Shifting her eyes back to her opponent who tightened his grip on his sword, Eleanor hesitated before finally sighing. Gritting her teeth, she spoke, "Wait. I will share the fruits with you. There is no need for us to fight." It took all her will to squeeze out those words. She didn't mind ignoring her pride when her mates were at stake, but that didn't change the fact that she was a very prideful person. However, after seeing the way Tron was toying with Landon, she realized that she wouldn't be able to handle Steven if Tron decided to join him. After all, Steven alone was proving difficult to defeat.
Steven didn't respond for almost a full minute, "Okay. But we must share them equally."
A crease appeared on Eleanor's face, but they returned to normal a moment later. The massive image around her slowly disappeared, as her feet touched the ground. With a flash of light, eight boxes floated before her. Steven didn't hesitate to collect the boxes in his own spatial ring. He didn't need to check them, he could tell that the girl before him wouldn't lie. You could call it his gut instinct.
"Who are you?" Eleanor couldn't help but question. She had thought she would only have to be wary of Zara and didn't expect to find someone as strong as her.
Steve brushed his beautiful hair to the side before flashing a charming smile, "Just a hero in passing."
Eleanor rolled her eyes at him, "Can you tell that beast to stop?"
"Sure."
After a short while, Tron returned to Steven's side while a panting Landon stood beside Eleanor. If it wasn't for his race as a vampire, his body would have been covered in wounds of varying degrees.
'Just where are those two?' Eleanor thought to herself. Now that she was free, she could divert her mind to other pressing matters. For some reason, she couldn't help but turn in the direction, where a young purple-haired girl was singlehandedly decimating a group of magical beasts.
'For little kids to be able to appear within the fourth zone, yet they didn't, it could only mean...' She didn't dare to finish her thoughts.
"Ha...ha...why haven't the werewolves and our team appeared?" The panting Landon suddenly asked. It seemed he was also worried about the same thing.
Just when Eleanor was thinking of what to say, a massive structure appeared in the sky far in the distance.
"What is that?" Eleanor exclaimed, dumbfounded.
Landon, Steven, Tron, and even the others who were still fighting came to a stop before looking into the distance without exception.
A huge pillar that looked more like a staff appeared several kilometers away. But even from such a distance, it appeared just too big.
Just when they were thinking of what the object was and why it appeared, more pillars identical to the first one appeared. It increased to four, before reaching ten. With a few breaths, they could count almost fifty of these massive staff. The sight of massive pillars at least half a kilometer wide and more than a kilometer long blotting the sky, even from a distance, stunned all these geniuses into silence.
"What the hell are those?" It wasn't known who blurted the question they all had in mind.
Only the eyes of a small figure shone. Her half golden-half emerald hair fluttered in the wind, as her golden runic eyes spun clockwise.
'It is him.' A beautiful smile lit her face, which even though was chubby was very cute. It was certain that she would grow up to be a world-toppling beauty.
