Fallen Moon

Chapter 10: Ultimate Betrayal (Part 03)

The Sun began to rise, as a precaution. Angel climbed out of bed. He was careful in his movements. He did not want to disturb Raven while she slept. He slipped on his solid black boxer briefs. He reached into his pants pocket taking out a single dose of Sun Repellant IX. Just as he was about to take it. His mind caught flashes of a girl. Brunette hair, navy blue jacket, blue jeans, dark blue eyes. Werewolf. She went by the name of Claire. She must have triggered the curse he placed on the boulder blocking the entrance. The question is how did she find them? Was she a threat? Wait, didn’t Raven mention that she had a sister and that she too knew of this place. If that were the case then, I guess it’s time to meet the sister. This should be interesting. -huh?-

Angel’s mind caught another flash. Claire was carving a wooden steak. Her intentions became known to him right away. He saw an image of that steak piercing his heart. He couldn’t kill her, Raven would be mad. He caught another flash, -Brandon, he’s with her.- Confusion set in, why was he helping her? It wasn’t like Brandon to work with a werewolf. The boulder started to move, Angel took the sun repellant and placed a curse on the ground with his bare foot.

“You’re mine,” Claire rushed in taking out the steak. She went to stab him in the heart. However, the curse Angel planted triggered. The curse stopped her movement and forced her to freeze in place. “What the-,” She kept trying to force the steak forward being only inches from Angel’s heart. “Why can’t I-,” Angel casually knocked the wooden steak out of her hand and pushed her back. The effects of the curse faded allowing her to move again. “What did you do to me?”

“That’s none of your concern,” Angel picked up the wooden steak and threw it outside. “The point is you were trying to kill me.” He stated as a fact. He watched as Brandon stepped into the cave.

“Holy shit,” Brandon’s eyes wandered the cave. “What the hell happened here? The place is a total wreck,” He picked up a piece of ripped up cotton from the torn pillow. “Angel, buddy, did you do this?” He showed Angel the small handful of cotton he picked up off the floor.

“Well um,” Angel tried to answer. Before he could Claire drew her claws and attacked him. He quickly moved one foot forward creating another curse and stopping her in place once more. Claire growled trying to force movement. Her feet were straining to move but were despite her efforts. She was stuck in place. “I’m not like the others,” He stated as fact. “I don’t want to kill you. Your sister is fine, see for yourself.” He motioned toward the bed. Raven was still sound asleep. “I don’t want to wake her so please,” He released the curse allowing her to move. “Hear what I have to say before acting blindly.”

“You want me to listen to you.” Claire argued, “Look at what you did,” She picked up a piece of broken wood from the armoire. “Not only that you,” Claire began pacing back and forth. “This can’t be happening,” She took several deep breaths. “Please tell me, this isn’t what it looks like,” She threw the broken wooden piece from the armoire down. “Tell me, you aren’t this stupid,” She accused. “It’s okay, even if you were. Surely my sister wasn’t. Who am I kidding?” She groaned. “Of course my sister is dumb enough to do something like this.”

“What this?,” Brandon picked up Raven’s bra off the floor. “Now Angel buddy, I’m not trying to jump to conclusions here but,” He dropped the bra on the floor and picked up Raven’s white lace panties. “I’m pretty sure you had sex with her. Now, when I looked the other way so you could talk to her. This is not what I had in mind,” He dropped her panties on the floor. “You see, this is why I told you not to do this. I look away and this is what happens. Though, I got to say.” He put his hands on hips and nodded to himself. “I love what you’ve done with the place. You broke everything but the dresser.” He walked over the wooden dresser. “This dresser is a survivor,” He smirked, placing his hand on it.

“Brandon, please,” Angel begged. “I already feel bad about it, don’t make it worse.” Brandon nodded and took a step back. Claire began pacing back and forth. She was trying her best to calm down. He could feel her getting angrier by the second. “Before you say anything else just let me-,”

“I can’t believe this,” Claire clenched her fists together. “There are specific rules against this sort of thing. Rules that if not followed. Will get you killed. Yet, for some reason, you decided to do it anyway.” She glared at him. “Does my sister’s life mean nothing to you?” How could she say that? Raven’s life means everything to him. “Well,” Claire put her hands on her hips. “I hope you realize that you’ve just killed her. Or here’s a thought,” She smirked. “Maybe,” She shrugged. “You just don’t care. After all, she was just another fuck right?”

“No, that’s not-,” Angel tried to speak but couldn’t. Claire was still so furious at him. She had a good reason to be. He had put her sister’s life in danger. It was reckless and stupid of him. Even so, he couldn’t bring himself to regret doing it. Not after, how happy it made him to be that close to Raven. Last night, it will stay with him always. “Claire, that is your name right?” She nodded. “Look, I’m sorry for-,”

“You’re sorry,” Claire raised her voice. “That’s all you have to say for yourself.” She spoke louder. “Sorry doesn’t fix this, sorry doesn’t stop you from sleeping with my sister. Sorry does nothing.” She glared into his eyes. “My sister is dead because of you. I hope your one night stand was worth it. Once Lycan finds out abou-,”

“That’s just it,” Brandon spoke up. “He doesn’t have to.” He offered. “It’s no question if Blaire or Lycan find out about this. Both of them are dead. That’s only if we tell them, if we keep it a secret nobody has to know.” He shrugged. “We can hide it,” He glanced over at Claire. “It’s the only option we’ve got unless you want your sister to die.”

“Of course I intend to hide it, Brandon.” Claire stated as fact. “The point is it shouldn’t have happened. The point is, I have to keep a secret from my Alpha. Which if he finds out about it. He will kill me too. So, now it’s not only my sister’s life that’s in danger. It’s my life as well,” She placed her hand on her chest. “Thanks for that by the way.” Claire faced Angel. Her voice was shrouded in sarcasm. “So, you’re with Lord Alexander’s daughter, Blaire right?”

“Yes,” Angel answered.

“I see,” Claire put her hands in her jacket pockets. “Well I hope you're good at keeping secrets.” Angel turned his head. He went to apologize again but she shook her head. “I already told you.” She glared at him. “Sorry. Doesn’t work for me.” Claire began pacing back and forth. “This can’t be happening.”

“There’s a brightside to this,” Brandon added. Claire went to speak. “Before you get upset, just hear me out okay.” She took a deep breath. “I mean, it’s not like Angel has feelings for your sister. This was just a one night stand, that’s it.” He shrugged. “Nobody says anything and we’re in the clear.”

“I can’t believe I’m saying this.” Claire closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. “I agree with Brandon.” Brandon glanced over at her. It must have shocked him to hear that Claire agreed with him on something. “As long as this stays a one night stand, it can be dealt with. It’s clear to me, he doesn’t have feelings for my sister. He’s engaged to Blaire.”

“I-,” Angel tightened his hand into a fist. To hear them say that he didn’t have feelings for Raven. He understood their intentions and it would be easier to call this a one night stand. Even so, he wasn’t ready to lose her. She’s everything. Losing her, it would be easier to take a steak to the heart. “I can’t-,” He glanced over at Raven as slept. “I can’t leave her.” He confessed. “Even if it’s for the best, I-,” Brandon slapped him.

“No,” Brandon pointed at him. “No, No, No, this can’t.” He walked back and forth. “No, Angel. Listen to me buddy,” He forced Angel to look at him. “You got to let her go, there’s no way this can work. I’m sorry Angel but you gotta let this one go.” Angel glanced over at Raven while she slept. “You know what will happen if you don’t.”

“If you do care about my sister.” Claire stepped forward. “The best thing you can do for her right now is to,” She took a deep breath. “Leave her.” She handed him his clothes. “It’ll hurt but she’ll get over it. Please,” She begged. “My sister’s life is hard enough as is.” She pointed out. “You’ll only make it worse for her if you stay.”

“You’re right,” Angel’s eyes lingered on Raven as she slept. She was so beautiful even as she laid there sleeping. Her head was pressed against his pillow, her lips forming a slight smile. Her skin was glowing with radiance. He’d give anything just to be here a little while longer. But, this wasn’t about him. It was about her and her safety. As much as he wanted to stay with Raven. He knew in his heart that if he stayed. Raven’s life would be in danger. He had to protect her at all costs even if it meant. Protecting her from himself.

“Take care of her,” Angel put on his black slacks from last night. “Please understand that your sister is more precious to me than anything in this world. Keep her safe for me.” He kissed Raven’s cheek while she slept. “I’m leaving now,” He slipped on his white dress shirt. “You won’t see me again.”

“Let’s go, buddy,” Brandon grabbed Angel’s tank and tie, holding them in his hand. “You’re doing the right thing.” He placed his hand on his back while Angel’s eyes lingered on Raven. “There will be others,” He didn’t want anyone else, he just wanted her. He let out a deep sigh and headed toward the exit with Brandon.

“Don’t go,” That voice. Angel’s bare feet stopped as her warm arms wrapped around his chest. “You can’t leave, not without promising to see me again.” She held her head against his back. “Please, don’t let this be it.” Raven held him tighter. “I love you,”

Those words, those sweet words. He’s waited so long just to hear them. He didn’t deserve to hear them. After everything he’s done, the people he’s killed. The last thing Angel thought he deserved was her affection. To think, she could say those words without any sign of hesitation. His eyes started to water.

“R-Raven, I-,” Angel pushed back tears and embraced her. It didn’t matter what the risks were. He couldn’t bring himself to leave Raven. He had to find some way for them to be together. He couldn’t let this war seperate them. “I promise, we’ll see each other again.” He wiped the tears from her eyes. “You’re everything to me.” She wrapped her arms around him. She began crying on his shoulder as he stroked her back. “It’s okay, It’s okay,”

“Sister, this is insane.” Claire spoke up. “He is a vampire.” She walked forward. “A creature who has killed dozens of our kind just for sport. It’s bad enough you were foolish enough to sleep with this monster.” Monster, Angel lowered his head. He never thought of himself as a monster. Perhaps to a werewolf, he was one but he never wanted to be. “Now, you want a relationship with him. Forget it,” She grabbed her sister’s hand and tried to pull her away from Angel.

“No,” Raven jerked her hand free. “I’m not leaving him. I already lost him once. I’m not losing him again.” She argued. “You don’t understand, he’s not just some vampire. I knew him as a human, he was turned.” She took Angel’s hand. “You can scold me, call me foolish, whatever you want to do but I’m not leaving him.”

“I can’t believe you’re this stupid.” Claire rubbed her forehead. “Lycan will find out about this. He’s already pissed that you took off after the Lunar Ball. The entire pack got their asses beat for it. If it wasn’t for Jay, Lycan would have attacked me too. If you don’t come back, he’ll kill me. I already broke the rules trying to find you.” She pointed out. “Now stop being stupid and wake up this will never work.”

“Well it’s too late to turn back now,” Brandon put his hands in his pockets. “She said the magic words. Angel’s not going anywhere. We could try to drag his pale ass out of here but he’s just going to kick our ass.” He walked up to Angel. “So, I guess,” He rubbed the back of his neck. “There’s only one thing I can ask you at this point.” He let out a deep sigh. “Is this really what you want? You know as well as I do. Once we go down this road, there’s no turning back.”

“We?” Angel raised his brow. “Brandon you don’t have to-,”

“I know I don’t have to,” Bradon explained. “Bro, you’re one of my best friends and if I don’t help you you’re going to die. You can’t do this on our own and I can’t leave you in a bind. So all I need to know is,” He shrugged. “Is she “the one”? You’d be willing to marry this woman and have kids with her. I’m not about to put my life at risk for a chick you’re not serious about. I mean, that’d be pretty stupid.”

“Wait what?” Claire turned to Brandon. “You’re helping them. Well no surprise here you’re about as dumb as they are.” She crossed her arms. “I’m surrounded by idiots.” She sat in the corner of the cave. “Out of curiosity here, the feelings are mutual right?” She looked at Angel. “You do care about my sister.”

“I do,” Angel answered. “To answer your question Brandon.” He pulled Raven to his side. “Raven is everything to me. I wouldn’t dream of leaving her. I know this relationship is a risk and could result in our deaths but. I can’t be without her.” Raven rested her head on his chest. “So yes, I’d marry her and yes I’d have kids with her,”

“Sign me up,” Brandon shrugged. “Though ugh, I’d like one favor from the lady.” One favor from Raven. Angel’s face was shrouded in confusion. That doesn’t even make sense. What could he possibly want from Raven?

“Okay,” Raven shrugged, “If you’re going to help us out then I see no problem in helping you out.” She brushed her hair to the side. “What can I do for you Brandon?” She crossed her arms. For some reason, Angel didn’t trust this. Brandon was up to something but he didn’t know what.

“Well, I’m putting my life at risk here.” Brandon placed his hand on his chest. “I don’t even know you but I’m still willing to be a generous guy and help you out. Though ugh, I’d feel better if I knew exactly what I was risking my life for.” He cleared his throat. “With that being said, I need to know exactly how hot you are so I need to see your breasts.”

“What,” Angel screamed. “You want to, what?” He shielded Raven. “Back off Brandon she’s mine. You don’t get to see her breasts. What the fuck is wrong with you?” He yelled. “Raven, you don’t have to do that. Don’t even listen to him.” He reasoned.

“Really, that’s it, that’s all you want.” Raven raised her brow. “I mean yeah it’s a bit pervish but you know what.” She stepped in front of Angel. “I’ll indulge you, one look and after that you’ll help us out?” She asked, Brandon nodded. “That means you’ll do anything we ask right?” He nodded again.

“Raven, why are you even considering this?” Angel argued. “I’m telling you, you don’t have to-,” She quickly opened the sheet and showed Brandon her breasts. “Raven, No,” He yelled as he quickly grabbed the sheet and used it to cover her up. “What is wrong with you?” He scolded. “You can’t show Brandon that, those are mine.”

“Correction, they’re mine and yes I can.” Raven pointed out. “So, you saw them, we good?” Brandon stood there, his pale brown eyes wide open. A huge grin was on his face as he stood there nodding.

“Yeah, I’d die for that.” Brandon replied. “Angel, I get it, I totally get it.” Angel picked up a pillow and threw it at his face.

“Boys are so stupid.” Claire hid her face. “If Brandon’s all the help you got. You guys are screwed.” She stood up. “Alright, fine, it’s clear, I can’t talk you out of this. So, as your sister.” She glanced over at Raven. “I don’t really have a choice.” She shrugged. “I’m in,” Claire stood beside Raven. “So, Angel, I’m going out on a limb here and say out of the two vampires in this cave. You’re the smartest. Tell me, you’ve got some sort of plan.”

“Wait,” Raven walked over to the dresser. “Before we start talking about this.” She grabbed clothes out of the top drawer. “I need to get dressed.” She went to take off the sheet. Angel quickly grabbed it and used it to hide her naked body from Brandon’s view. He moved the blanket once she was completely dressed wearing a purple tank top and blue jeans. “First thing’s first Angel and I need a way to communicate from a distance.”

“No,” Brandon corrected, “First thing is first, you two need to find a place to bathe,” Angel smirked as his eyes lingering on Raven. She smiled back at him and flashed him a sexy wink. “No, bad,” He scolded. “The goal is to get the werewolf scent off of your body, not on it.” He flicked Angel’s nose. “Bad Angel, look at this cave, look at this cave,” He made Angel turn around and face the wrecked cave. “You’ve done enough.”

“There’s a stream not too far from here, it’s in werewolf territory though. Stay close behind us and try not to get spotted. This way,” Claire took Raven’s hand. Angel and Brandon followed behind her. Brandon held his arm out to Angel. He placed a curse on Brandon’s arm that blocked out his scent.

They followed Claire to a small stream, Angel watched as Raven began to get undressed by the water. ”Are we there yet,” Brandon went to come out of the bushes. Angel quickly turned and placed a curse on Brandon that blinded him. “Hey!” Brandon screamed. “I can’t see, where’d you guys go? Hello guys,” He kept reaching around trying to use his hands to feel where he was going. “Angel, Raven better not be undressing, if she is, I’m going to kill you.” He kept swinging his fists at the air. “Where the fuck are you, get your ass over here so I can kick it.” He put a curse on Brandon’s mouth that muted his voice.

“Keep quiet,” Angel whispered. He ducked down in the bushes as Raven proceeded to undress. Her violet tank top slid up her stomach and over her nice firm breasts. Man, he could not believe how hot she was. He forced a hard swallow. She started to remove her tight skinny jeans just as he was about to see her panties. He was grabbed from behind and caught in a tight head lock and lifted into the air. “Brandon, let go,” He kept trying to wiggle free.

Brandon squeezed tighter trying to snap Angel’s neck. He kept trying to break free of his grip but he had him. He couldn’t get loose. He dispelled the curses and Brandon let him go. Angel fell onto the grass holding his neck. “If I don’t get to see it, you don’t get to see it. Now hurry up and get naked,” Angel raised his brow. Claire and Raven both turned and gave him a weird look. “Well, that came out wrong,” He cleared his throat. “Look ugh, Blaire’s already pissed so let’s not keep her waiting.”

“Fine,” Angel groaned. Raven’s naked body was now underneath the water and he couldn’t see anything. He took his pants off. “Way to kill it, Brandon,” He threw his slacks at Brandon’s face. He slid down his boxers and walked into the stream.

“Angel, a little warning first,” Claire shielded her eyes. “I don’t want to see your thing.” She barked. He didn’t do it for her, Raven’s eyes lingered at his crotch as she ran her wild tongue over her lips. Fair is Fair, he tried to see her, so she gets to see him. He walked into the water and sunk down to where it covered his chest.

“I’ll be back, buddy,” Brandon threw Angel’s clothes down. “Your clothes smell like wolves. I’m going to go to town to get you some new ones. That’s unless you want to join them, Claire.” He offered.

“No, I’ll pass, I’d rather keep a watchful eye on these two,” Claire looked right at Angel and Raven. “So this time, nothing pops up.” She glared at Angel. He began whistling to himself and looked away. “By the way, you owe me new furniture.”

“Yeah watch these two,” Brandon glared at Angel. “I see you buddy, showing your goods to get her attention. Do it again and I’ll put you in another headlock.” He warned. “I’ll snap your neck buddy. So,” He crouched down. “What size clothes do you wear bro?”

“I wear a size medium shirt, a size thirty two waist and boxer briefs. Give me my pants, will you?” Angel asked, Brandon grabbed his pants and handed them to him. He went to grab his wallet out of his back pocket. “Here,” Angel threw him his wallet. “There should be some cash in there.”

“I got it,” Brandon threw his wallet back. “Diamond armor, remember?” He walked off to get Angel some clothes to change into. While he was gone, Angel let this body soak in the water while he waited for Brandon to get back. He couldn’t do much of anything until he did, he had no soap, no shampoo, and no clothes. Wait, the same applies to-. Angel’s lips formed a slight grin. He had an idea.

“Hey Claire,” Angel grinned. “How’s Raven supposed to bathe without body wash?” He passed a wink to Raven. The second he did, Raven’s lips formed a slight smirk. She knew what he was up to and was eager to follow his lead.

“That’s right,” Raven agreed. “I don’t have anything to wash myself with. I smell like a vampire, Jay’s going to pick up on that and we don’t want that so,” Raven placed her arms on the edge of the stream. “Could you go back to camp and get it for me? Pretty please,” She batted her eyes at her sister.

“Oh no,” Claire scolded. “I’m not leaving you two alone, not even for a second. You’re both naked, I know exactly what’s going on here.” She put her hands on her hips. “I’ll just ugh, ugh, damn it,” She slouched. “It’s not like I have a choice but if I come back without you. I’ll get into trouble,” Not unless she gets caught, this is where he comes in.

“Claire, close your eyes for a sec,” Angel spoke, she closed her eyes. He got out of the water and placed an invisible curse on her forearm. The same one he used to sneak past the werewolves. This should hide her scent. “Okay,” He got back into the water. “You should be good to go back to camp undetected.”

“Wait, you’re serious, no, I can’t I’ll-,”

“Just trust me on this,” Angel rested his arms on the edge of the stream. “I’m a lot smarter than you give me credit for.” He added. “Now off to camp with you, Raven and I have some things we need to discuss in private.” He ran his tongue over his lips. “Don’t we Raven?” He winked at Raven.

“We sure do,” Raven agreed. “Things that are very private,” She winked.

“I’ll be back and I’m not going to take long, If I come back and you two are having sex. I’m jumping in there and kicking both your asses.” Claire warned. “Angel, I mean it, I’ll shove a wooden steak right up your ass.” His ass, Angel clenched. That sounds painful, besides his ass is an exit only. Nothing goes in ever. He waited till Claire was no longer in sight then moved closer to Raven.

“Hey there,” Raven tickled the back of Angel’s neck and kissed him on the lips. He pulled her closer as his tongue glided over hers. She let out a soft moan as his naughty hand touched her breast. “Wait,” She breathed. “Let’s not go too far, Claire will be back.” She pressed her forehead against his.

“Okay,” Angel brought his lips to Raven’s ear, “Just tell me when,” He kept lightly teasing her breast. Raven arched her neck back while he pressed his gentle lips against her neck. She grabbed a handful of Angel’s wet mocha hair bringing his lips closer. He ran his wet hand down her smooth body reaching further down into the water. Raven began unleashing moan after moan aching as his fingers got closer and closer to her.

“Hey,” Claire yelled. “Knock it off,” She threw a rock in Angel’s direction. He caught it before it hit him. “Angel, get back on your side.” He kissed Raven once more and moved over to his side of the stream. “Here,” She dropped Raven’s bath supplies and some clothes for her to wear. “Now hurry up and you,” She pointed at Angel. “I’m watching you.” She pointed at her eyes then at him.

“Okay, we’ll stop,” Raven grabbed her body wash. “I’ll just go ahead and start cleaning myself.” She turned so Angel could watch as her hands rubbed soap all over sweet breasts. He could see it all and she wasn’t even bothering to hide it. He forced a hard swallow and grabbed himself underneath the water. He knew what she was doing and what she wanted him to do in response. He began slowly jerking himself off being cautious so Claire wouldn’t be able to catch him doing it.

“Hey,” Brandon threw two shopping bags down. “Buddy, you better stop touching yourself right now. I see your arm moving. Let go of that thing between your legs right now.” Angel rolled his eyes and let go of his shaft. “Raven, love what you’re doing keep it up.” He gave her thumbs up. “That’s twice I’ve seen your boobs.” She blushed and ducked into the water. “Yeah, didn’t think I’d be back so fast, did you?” He threw Angel a bottle of body wash, some shampoo, and set the bag of clothes next to him. “Angel, stop fooling around, and get yourself cleaned up.” He cleared his throat. “New rule, backs to each other.”

“What no,” Angel yelled. “I can watch her bathe, she’s okay with it.” He reasoned. “Besides, she gets to watch me too so it’s fair.”

“You should have thought about that before you decided to jerk it buddy.” Brandon pointed out. “Now backs facing each other, besides. If Raven faces you, I get to see it too, I’m checking out your girl buddy. Are you okay with that?” Angel gasped. “Oh yeah, I’m looking buddy, so it’s up to you how you wanna play this.” He groaned and turned his back to Raven. “That’s what I thought, Raven, you don’t have to turn around if you don’t want to.” He shrugged. “I’ll be more than happy to watch you bathe.”

“Ew,” Raven turned her back to him. “I at least wanted to watch Angel clean his,” Claire cleared her throat. “This is so unfair, he saw my boobs.”

“And so did I.” Brandon nodded to himself. “The second time was way better than the first.” He grinned. “That was some show, I don’t even blame Angel for doing it.” He sat down in the grass. “Now start cleaning, hey Claire we should switch sides,” He offered. “That way, I’ll get to check out Raven and you’ll get to check out Angel. It’s a win-win.”

“I’ll pass thank you,” Claire took out a book and began reading. Angel figured she must have gotten from their campsite.

“Yeah, I should have bought a book. This is weird.” Brandon sat there in the grass while Angel was cleaning himself off. “I’ll just turn my back this way.” He turned around. While Angel continued to clean the scent of wolf off his skin. When he finished washing off his body, he started to wash the scent out of his hair.

Once he was cleaned, Angel reached into the shopping bag and pulled out a pair of black boxer briefs with small wolf prints on them. “Brandon, they have wolf prints, I can’t wear wolf print boxer briefs.” He pointed out.

“Why not,” Brandon turned to face him. “Ah, bro, I can see it,” He shielded his eyes. “Put on the boxers on man.” He called out. “I don’t want to see your dick.” He would put them on if they didn’t have wolf prints on them. “Look bro, you got to face facts,” He shrugged. “your dick is owned by a werewolf now.”

“She doesn’t own my-,” Angel felt a cold chill run down his spine when he said that. Raven looked over at him, her eyes glaring at him. “No, if your breasts aren’t mine, then my dick isn’t yours. It’s still mine.” He pointed at himself. “Though, I got to admit these boxers are pretty cool, what the hell, I’ll wear them.” He slipped on the boxer briefs. “It’s not like Blaire’s actually looking at what’s on my boxers she’s more worried about taking them off.” He reached into the bag and took out a black tank and slipped it on.

“I hate that bitch, remember, she’s only borrowing it.” Raven put on a black lace and black lace panties to match. She continued getting dressed. She put on a black short sleeved shirt. The front of the shirt read: “Rock Royalty.” in neon pink letters. She grabbed a pair of tight blue jeans and put them on. She slipped on a pair of pink converse shoes and tied her black hair in a ponytail with a pink hair tie. “You dressed?”

“Yeah,” Angel pulled up the jeans Brandon got him and zipped up the zipper. “Dressed,” He stepped into black converse shoes and walked over to Raven. He went to kiss her but Brandon grabbed his shoulder and pulled him off before he could. Angel flashed him an annoyed glare. Brandon was really starting to get on his nerves. He quickly rushed over to Raven trying to kiss her again.

“No,” Brandon picked Angel up and lifted him over his shoulder. “You just got the scent of wolves off you.” He set him back down on his feet in front of him. “I’m not buying you more clothes, we already need to wash these.” He held out the shopping bag that had Angel’s clothes from the Lunar Ball in it. “I just hope Blaire doesn’t get a whiff of these babies. She’ll know what you did. That’s why I’m taking them to my room. Nobody goes near my room except Ziek but we’re cool and he doesn’t ask questions.” He shrugged.

“Now that you guys are cleaned up, we need to come up with a plan.” Claire got between them. “Angel, you said you’re smarter than I give you credit for. Well now’s the time to prove it, got any ideas?” She asked him.

“Earlier,” Angel rubbed his chin. “Raven said that we needed a way to communicate from a distance. I think I have an idea.” He stated. “Blaire checks my phone and I’m pretty sure Lycan checks hers but they aren’t going to check yours.” He turned his attention to Claire and Brandon. “If you two exchange numbers, we can use your phones to keep in touch.”

“That’ll work,” Raven added. “Lycan won’t check Claire’s phone. He has no reason to. He just had our signal range expanded so we can use them. Angel, you’re brilliant.” She went to hug him but Claire stopped her before she could. “You serious, I can’t even hug him.”

“No, Lycan has a strong sense of smell. He’ll pick up Angel’s scent.” Claire explained. “Okay you’re going to need a new plan,” She turned to face Angel. “I’m not exchanging numbers with Brandon. I don’t even like thim, he’s annoying.”

“Well you’re not exactly my favorite person either,” Brandon added. “But, it’ll work, Blaire might check Angel’s but she’s not going to check mine.” He took out his cell phone. “Claire, give me your number.”

“No, forget it, I’m not doing that,” Claire argued. “You'll just have to-,” Raven took Claire’s phone out of her jacket pocket. “Hey,” She yelled. “Whatever,” She shrugged. “It’s not like you can unlock it, you need to use my fingerprint.” She stuck her tongue out at her sister. Raven snatched her by the arm. “Ou, that hurts.” She complained Raven made her sister press her thumb against the phone screen. The phone unlocked and she threw it to Brandon. He caught it and saved his number. “Bitch,” Claire started rubbing her arm. “That hurt.”

“Good,” Raven shrugged. “Don’t stick your tongue out at me,”

“I saved myself as “Boyfriend”, you’re welcome.” Brandon grinned, Claire groaned. “What, too soon?” He sent himself a text from her phone and handed her cell phone back to her.

“More like,” Claire took her phone from him. “Never going to happen.” She began editing his contact information. “This seems more accurate,” She showed Raven what she changed it to. Her sister started laughing, the moment she saw it.

“Let me see that,” Brandon took her phone from her. “Dumbass, you saved me as dumbass. Okay I got you,” He gave her back her phone. “I’ll just save you as the ugly one. Since Raven is way hotter than you anyway.”

“Whatever,” Claire rolled her eyes. “We’ve exchanged numbers. Now we just need a plan on how to make this,” She waved her finger between Angel and Raven. “Work. I was thinking, well, actually Brandon got me thinking.” She ran her fingers through her brunette hair. “We don’t know enough about this war. We don’t know who started it when it began, we just know we’re at war. I think it’s time to fix that.”

“It’s not a bad start,” Angel admitted. “If we can find out what started this war. It might be the key to stopping it. Plus,” He shrugged. “If we keep digging into the history of the war. We might come across something that could help us. It’s worth looking into,”

“Lord Alexander has a library in the castle, we could start there.” Brandon offered. “I’m not sure what’s all in it but I don’t mind reading a few books. Lord Grimm could also have a library in his castle. If he does, then-,” Claire broke his words letting out a deep sigh.

“Lord Grimm doesn’t document things,” Claire answered. “If he had anything on the war. It would have been made available to us in the werewolf training camp. He only gave us the werewolf handbook and a few history books on werewolf packs. There was a library but it had no books about the war or what started it.”

“But lucky for us, Lord Alexander does,” Angel put his hands in his pockets. “I know exactly where to start looking. Blaire, before the Lunar Ball, her father gave her a key. There’s a secret room in the library, it’s the key to that room. I bet the information we need is inside there. I’ll just need to get the key from her.” He already knew how to get it, though Raven wasn’t going to like it but it’s his best play. It’s also the only way he was going to be able to get his hands on that key without getting caught.

“I guess you boys have your work cut for you.” Claire put her hands in her pockets. “Just be sure to keep us posted.” She took Raven’s hand. “Come on, we’d better get back to camp, Lycan will wake up soon.” The two sisters started to leave but Raven freed her hand and turned to face Angel.

“When will I see you again?” Raven’s beautiful navy blue eyes glanced into his eyes. He rushed over to embrace her. Before he could, Brandon grabbed his shoulder and pulled him away from her. If Brandon didn’t stop doing that, Angel was going to inflict every curse he knew on him. After that, he would punch Brandon in the jaw so hard, he’d lose all his teeth. He’d regret keeping him from his dearest Raven.

Angel began to think about the question she had asked him. Despite his best efforts. He didn’t have an answer. As much as he wanted to see his dearest Raven again. There was too much at stake, the more he saw her, the more attention he was going to draw to their relationship. He wished he could give her an answer but he couldn’t.

“I’m not sure,” Angel answered. “Rest assured I want to see you. I just need time to figure things out. I’ll let you know as soon as I’m free to slip away from Blaire. After all,” His lips formed a sweet smile. “We haven’t even had our first date yet.” He pressed his lips softly against hers. This time, Brandon wasn’t fast enough to stop him.

“Okay, Okay, you kissed her, come on,” Brandon grabbed the back of Angel’s tank and pulled him off Raven. “We’ve got to go, Blaire’s already going to kick your ass. Let’s not make it worse.” While Brandon was walking away, Angel turned around and looked back at Raven. Her sweet lips formed a gorgeous smile that left him paralyzed. She was just so beautiful. His lips formed a slight smirk. He will see her again, He had to.
