[You have received 1 Random skill box]
-The skill box is a special item that can randomly give you any one skill available to you at your current level. The skill level will be the same as the person who previously owned the skill, so it is possible for it to be reset to 1.
To claim the prize, the user must be at least Level 10, but the chance of a high tier skill appearing is low if the user's level is too high.
"If this thing is a lottery, then my chances of getting a good skill is lower than a blue whale's IQ"
I decided to check my inventory before going back home. My inventory had the following items. Wolf meat and lesser Dragon meat I was able to store meat or items that was not rotting and were still in one piece.
The Lesser Dragon Meat was an item that I could use to cook a meal but I could also sell it at the black market and make a fortune. If I ever travel to human towns or kingdom's in the future I'll be able to trade them for money or valuable items.
The Wolf meat is useful for eating, but it is also worth a bit of money. I should start eating better quality meat and raise my stats a bit.
The last item in my inventory is the random skill box.
As I took out the skill box I noticed that. The skill box was a square object about 30x30cm, and it was wrapped in a silver wrapper. There were two golden latches on each side and the front side of the box was decorated with a werid symbol.
The skill box was an ornate wooden box about the size of an adult human hand, with intricate patterns carved on its surface.
As i destroyed the small box with my claws I heard a ding and a blue translucent screen appeared in front of me.

[You Have Received the Active Skill: Scorched Earth]
• Description: Set the ground ablaze, creating a hazardous terrain that damages and burns enemies who step on it.
• Effect: Deals 5 fire damage per second to enemies standing on the affected area for 8 seconds. Enemies entering the area also take 10 fire damage.
• Duration: Lasts for 8 seconds.
• Cooldown: 30 seconds.
• Usage: Excellent for controlling battlefield positioning and forcing enemies to avoid certain areas, making it a strategic skill for both offense and defense.
"I can use this skill to force my enemies into a certain location or I can also use it to block escape routes"
"But the skill can also be used to trap myself so I'll need to practice a bit with it."
I'm also a little confused, I was expecting some type of elemental attack skill not some passive and offensive skill.
"And this skill seems like a cheat!"
"I should probably get stronger and find a safe location to test my new skill"
"I have an idea!"
As I was thinking of a plan to test my new skill I suddenly remembered a cave nearby
the cave that I was born in, it was on top of the mountain that I came down from and the cave was the safest place for me to train.
And now, that's exactly where I'm heading to.
The sun was slowly going down, so I decided to go back home and try testing my skill.
After a while I finally found the cave.
"Now then, let's see how strong this skill is"
As I used the skill the ground below my feet turned black and started emitting heat.
A wave of flames appeared under my feet, spreading the flames throughout the whole cave and setting it ablaze.
Then a transparent screen appeared.
[MP 80/90]
"The mana cost is not that bad, and I can keep using the skill for a while, but it's still a little expensive"
As the flames spread all over the cave, I started to feel the temperature rise. It was not enough to burn me, but it was definitely uncomfortable.
The flames slowly faded away and the temperature started to drop, the black ground also turned back to normal and the skill's effect disappeared.
The duration of the skill was about 8 seconds, but that doesn't really matter right now, what matters is that I now have an area idea about this skill.
"And this skill is a pretty decent offensive tool."
But I'm a little worried, this skill doesn't seem like a dragon type skill, and I have no idea where it came from.
"Well, it doesn't matter I guess."
As I was thinking to myself, a strange ding sound was heard in the distance.
It was the same ding sound as the ones heard when you level up.
The strange part was that I didn't gain any levels and the sound was coming from outside the cave.
I went out the cave to investigate the noise and found a small red lizard standing near the cave.
It was a cute looking creature, about the size of a puppy.
"I can't tell what kind of monster it is, but if its just a small creature like this, it won't even be a challenge"
"Let's test out my new skill."
'As the lizard was minding its own business, I used the scorched earth skill again'
[You have Used The Skill: Scorched Earth]
[MP 70/90
I tried to catch the lizard but it was faster than I expected.
It ran away before the flames could reach it.
I chased after the lizard but lost it's trail.
I could still sense its presence nearby so I kept walking in the direction where the lizard ran away to.
I was starting to get frustrated by how difficult it was to catch the stupid creature. After a while I stopped and took a deep breath, then I focused on my surroundings.
"I should try using the new skill"
I started running around the area, looking for a suitable place to use the scorched earth skill.
The flames wouldn't hurt me, but they would definitely scare away any monsters or animals that were hiding nearby.
"Perfect!"
As I ran towards a clearing, I used the skill.
[You Have Used The Skill:Scorching Earth]
Flames started burning all around me, covering a large area. Of this forest the bushes and trees were set ablaze in white flames It was like I was standing in the middle of a giant bonfire.
"Now I just have to wait for the lizard to come closer, and then attack it"
As I waited, nothing showed up in this area I couldn't even find the the sound of the lizard.
After a while I was starting to get a little annoyed. I heard whispering near the bush's of where I came from.
"hey wait up"
"Do you see that fire"
A group of four people was approaching the flame, two men and two women. All of them wore armor, but their appearance was very different. One of the men had dark skin, short brown hair, and he was carrying a long sword.
He looked like a warrior, his muscular body was covered by armor and his weapon was a massive broadsword.
The second man was pale skinned, with short black hair and a thin beard. He was wearing a robe, and his staff was made out of wood.
He was a wizard or a magician, probably a magic user.
The two women, accompanied by the two men, stood at the entrance of the forest, their leather armor hugging their slim figures like a second skin. One woman had fiery short red hair, that seemed to blaze like a torch In the midnight. She had sharp emerald eyes, scanning the surroundings of the fire. Beside her, there was another pretty woman with long blue hair going down her back like a waterfall at midnight with her bow on her back.
The four strangers slowly walked towards the flame, unaware that I was lurking inside. Near the bushes around the big Fire
The woman that was casting a spell with a magic circle appearing made of blue weird glowing golden symbols were accompanied on the magic circle floating in the air as the spell was completed a big amount of water started to fill the air around us putting out the fire.
'These people seem dangerous.'
As I was preparing to attack, I heard a voice.
"Hey look, I think that's a dragon"
All four of them looked at me.
The man with the sword was the first one to speak.
"It looks young, probably just hatched recently"
His voice was soft and calm, he sounded like an adult.
"We should capture it and sell it to the royal palace."
"That's a great idea!"
The other man, who looked like a wizard, seemed excited about the idea.
"It would fetch a nice price, and the king would definitely reward us handsomely"
I didn't like the sound of that, and I wanted to fight.
"Wait, there's no need for violence. We can just ask it nicely"
The red haired woman spoke, her tone was calm, yet firm.
"Yeah, let's not scare the poor creature."
The blue haired woman smiled sweetly at me, her gentle demeanor making her look even more beautiful.
"I'm sorry for scaring you, little guy"
"I didn't want to hurt you."
"You are not a threat, and I'm not a threat to you either"
I tilted my head wondering if this human was alright in the head as who would trust a dragon.
'Maybe she's just dumb.'
"I think it understands us, maybe we can talk to it?"
"Sure, why not. We can try, right?"
The four people continued chatting, discussing what to do with me.
"Okay, let's start with a simple question. What's your name?"
The man with brown hair with a short sword in hand asked me.
-What a dumb question, I can't speak human.
I couldn't answer the man's question, but he seemed to understand that.
"I see, well, do you know where your parents are?"
"Maybe they're nearby."
"Or maybe they abandoned you?"
"We can't let a dragon roam freely, they are very dangerous. So we have to kill it, right?"
"Yes, but we can't kill a baby. It's against the law, we have to capture it and take it back to the city. Besides, there are no dragons living here. This forest is a peaceful place. There is no reason for the dragons to attack us."
"That's right."
"We don't have time to deal with this little guy, let's just leave it here and go back home. It's getting late."
"No, we can't do that. It will grow up and become a danger to everyone. We have to do something, otherwise it will destroy the entire forest. There is no other choice.
"Well, maybe we can take care of it, until it grows up and leaves on its own."
"Are you sure? That sounds like a huge responsibility."
"We can handle it, right?"
"Yeah, we'll manage."
"Okay then, let's go. I'll go get a cage from the village."
With that said, the brown haired man walked off, disappearing into the darkness.
"I'm hungry, and I'm sure you are too, aren't you, little dragon? We have some food back home, but I don't think you can eat it. Let's go, we'll bring you back to the village."
I only decided to go with these humans because of 2 reasons they will provide me with a luxurious home and I'll get to interact with humans and understand the way that they live as from the looks of it this is the medieval era.
"If these humans try anything I'll just escape from them"
'But they might have a lot of valuable things that could help me survive.'
I'm sure that I can handle whatever trouble comes my way, and even if something happens, there's nothing they can do to hurt me.
As we were walking, the man with the sword turned to look at me.
"What is your name?"
"Huh?"
"I said, what is your name?"
"..."
'is this guy stupid I can now understand human language but I can't speak it since my vocal cords haven't fully developed yet as I'm still only 4 days old.'
"I see, well then, I guess you don't have a name."
"I'll call you Kamish."
'Kamish?'
'i tilted my head its not that I didn't like the name it just felt weird being named by people that have known me fore less then 10 minutes'
"Yeah, cause of your scales. Your red and white and you resemble a dragon from 200 years ago it was known to cause chaos and terror in the past."
"..."
"Oh yeah, the story was passed down through the generations."
"Kamish is not a bad name. You should be happy to have such a powerful name."
