EVIL SYSTEM

Chapter 2: evil system

Charly forced Ben to eat the food off the floor and didn't let go of him until he had cleaned the entire floor. The humiliation Ben felt was so great that his head was filled with malicious thoughts about a knife and Charly.

But he knew very well that if he killed Charly, he would be taken to prison and there they would do worse things to him.

He couldn't let himself be carried away by sudden anger.

Moreover...

Ben looked empty.

[Malignant System]

Red letters appeared in his vision, similar to intelligent glasses from his old life.

But he didn't have glasses, nor contact lenses.

With curiosity, he tried to touch the letters.

[Malignant System]

[Performs malicious acts and gains evil points]

[Status]

Benjamin Clay

Age: 16 years

Physical: 7

Magical: 0

Affinities: none

Spells: none

Evil Points: 0

If he were in his old world, he would think that some kind of virus or malware had infected his glasses.

But being in a world where magic exists, Benjamin couldn't rule out that it wasn't something real.

More importantly...! ! He wanted it to be real!

He wished with all his heart.

To commit evil acts? I can do that!

A twisted smile appeared on his battered and bruised face.

But what was considered evil by the system?

With renewed passion, Ben took a bath and thought of many ways to test the system.

He waited until nightfall, but not at 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm. Benjamin waited until 12:00 am or 1:00 am, making sure everyone was deeply asleep.

With cautious steps, he left his room and began to explore the house.

Ensuring he was testing his hypotheses, Ben started with his first idea.

Theft.

It was undoubtedly an evil act.

So he began to steal things from his own house.

Ben took one of his older sister's magazines and hid it.

[Evil Points +1]

It worked!

With renewed determination, he walked with a purpose in mind.

The hidden treasure of his mother, a hole in the wall behind a small closet.

Once he used to store money in it but, as always, he ignored it.

He had never thought of taking from it since he knew the consequences wouldn't be pretty.

Although he still had fear of the consequences, the possible gains were now greater than just a few coins.

Ben moved the small closet and stuck his hand into the hole.

"Wow!" Benjamin looked at the large wad of bills in his hand and thought that at least he should have around 10,000 coins.

This was a lot of money!

He couldn't steal it all because anyone would go crazy after losing so much money.

He didn't want to cause his own disaster so quickly and only took 100 coins, hiding them in his pocket.

[Evil Points +100]

Ben was surprised by the amount of points.

Apparently, each stolen coin equaled 1 point.

[After acquiring over 100 evil points, the store is unlocked.]

Ben smiled happily at this but continued his adventure.

Apparently, the amount of points he received for theft was directly proportional to the monetary or sentimental value of the stolen item.

It wasn't the same to steal just any magazine of Susan's as one he held special affection for. The magazines were worth the same, but the sentimental value elevated him to gain evil points.

It was logical; there was more malice in stealing something precious to a person than just a material object.

As he lay in bed at 2:00 am, Benjamin trembled with excitement.

He wanted to see where the evil points led and what the store offered.

Upon opening the store option, he was dazzled and overwhelmed at the same time.

He couldn't believe what he saw.

[Fire Affinity: 1000 points]

[Water Affinity: 1000 points]

[Wind Affinity: 1000 points]

[Earth Affinity: 1000 points]

There were many more things in the store, but these four caught his attention.

Benjamin was a normie precisely because he couldn't awaken an affinity. If he could buy an affinity from the system, he could embark on the path of magic and stop being considered extremely weak.

But the price was still too high.

Ben looked at his points.

[Evil Points: 158]

He still couldn't buy anything.

But one thing intrigued him was that next to his physical attribute, a "+" symbol appeared.

Knowing he had nothing to lose, he tried to touch the symbol.

Urgggg!

Ben clutched his chest in pain and clenched his teeth to keep from screaming and waking up his family.

Just a minute later, the pain disappeared, and some information appeared in his vision.

[-50 evil points]

[Physical +1]

[Remaining points: 108]

Ben understood immediately what the symbol was for and without thinking twice, he pressed it again.

The same pain struck him, but being prepared, he received it with more ease and even excitement.

[-100 evil points]

[Physical +1]

[Remaining points: 8]

Jumping with excitement from his bed, Benjamin began to throw punches into the air and move with increased agility.

This is incredible! This really works!

Ben couldn't fall asleep all night.

He spent it browsing the store and all the system's functions until morning.

With renewed vigor, he took a shower and put on his uniform. A long black pants and a white shirt with a black tie.

He didn't mind leaving earlier than usual. Now he had money to buy breakfast on the way to school.

As he had planned, he ate breakfast at a food stand in the middle of a street run by two old men.

For a moment, he thought about not paying and gaining a few points. But quickly dismissed those thoughts.

He had to set a limit to what he was willing to do to gain points.

He didn't want to become a crazy person who sacrificed innocents just for the sake of gaining points.
