Duolou: After taking advice, I became Supreme!

Chapter 83: Chapter 81: Yun Feng's Plan and Flender’s Confidence

Looking at Ning Rongrong's current state, Yun Feng couldn't help but feel a bit sentimental.

Of course, he didn't think Ning Rongrong was simply unable to persevere, even if she had been spoiled.

As a soul master, cultivating one's skills was fundamental, and even individuals like Chen Xin and Gu Rong knew this well. They would never allow her to squander her talent, no matter how pampered she had been.

From the current perspective, it seemed that in the original timeline, perhaps it was really Oscar who had disgusted her. After all, as a young lady of high status, it was natural to feel offended when a rustic boy made advances, especially when offering ambiguous food items. Her frustration was completely understandable.

Perhaps Flender had initially planned this all along. After all, Oscar was a genius that he had discovered, and Oscar's talent surpassed Ning Rongrong's. In Flender's view, the best way to break someone's pride was to crush their inner arrogance, and Oscar was the perfect candidate for that.

However, Flender might not have had any real intention of achieving something beyond asserting his authority. He just didn't want his dignity and status to be challenged. After all, among all the students, the only one exhibiting rebellious tendencies was Ning Rongrong.

Thus, to prevent this from spiraling out of control, Flender decided to nip it in the bud.

As Yun Feng thought this over, he found himself conflicted. In his view, Flender wasn't exactly wrong. It was like training soldiers, where you deal with troublemakers first to set an example. However, Flender's approach seemed extreme. He risked flattening Ning Rongrong's unique personality and spirit through isolation and provocation.

After considering it for a moment, Yun Feng decided to stop this from happening. His goal was to let Ning Rongrong realize the issue, but also to help her retain her original character.

With that thought, Yun Feng smiled and looked at Ning Rongrong, who was still chatting animatedly with Xiao Wu. He said, "Rongrong, if you don't finish your laps, you won't get any food. How about we head to Soto City for a meal and come back afterward?"

Sure enough, as soon as Ning Rongrong heard Yun Feng's suggestion, her eyes lit up, and without a second thought, she nodded eagerly.

"Yes, yes! Let's go right now!"

Xiao Wu hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded as well. "Should we invite Zhuqing too?"

"Of course, she's one of us, isn't she?" Yun Feng responded.

"Better yet, let's invite everyone from Shrek Academy. It'll be a chance to officially get to know each other!" Yun Feng added with a grin.

"I'll treat!"

Even though Ning Rongrong wasn't short on money, her eyes narrowed slightly in delight at Yun Feng's offer. Clearly, this was something she hadn't experienced before. Given her background in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, making friends was difficult, and most people who approached her did so with ulterior motives.

Because of Yun Feng's suggestion, Xiao Wu immediately ran toward the dormitory area. When Tang San came out and learned of Yun Feng's plan, he thought it over and agreed since Xiao Wu was also going.

As for Dai Mubai and Oscar, they naturally agreed as well. Oscar had been worried about not completing his task, but with the others' insistence, he eventually gave in. He figured the dean wouldn't make a fuss with so many of them going.

Oscar also wanted to clean up his image, so he went along. The only one not joining was Ma Hongjun, who, after receiving treatment from Shao Xin, had mostly recovered from his injuries. He didn't dare act recklessly after hearing about Yun Feng's combat feats and quickly agreed to go along.

Yun Feng's maneuver caught Flender completely off guard.

After sending off Tang San, Flender had planned to check on things, but when he stepped out and overheard Yun Feng's words, he was so frustrated he almost felt pain in his liver.

Flender had carefully analyzed Ning Rongrong's character. In his mind, a pampered young lady like her would never obediently complete her tasks. Even if she did, Flender would find fault with it, provoke her emotions, and drive her to an outburst—achieving his goal.

But Yun Feng had turned the situation into a team bonding event!

Flender, feeling helpless, had no choice but to think of other strategies.

After a lively feast in Soto City, Yun Feng and the others eventually returned to Shrek Academy.

As night fell, Flender, the Four-Eyed Owl and dean of Shrek Academy, stood on the academy's field, watching the group of students who were prepared for their evening lessons, each one full of energy.

However, Flender's attention wasn't on the majority of the students but rather on two specific individuals.

"Oscar, did you finish running your twenty laps?" Flender's sharp gaze made it hard for anyone to meet his eyes.

Oscar blushed slightly under the scrutiny but, glancing at Ning Rongrong, managed to force a cough and nodded awkwardly.

"Yes, Dean, I finished running."

Flender snorted. "Did you really finish?"

Oscar turned to look at Ning Rongrong, who was also looking at him, her beautiful eyes full of innocence.

Gritting his teeth, Oscar thought back to the warm and harmonious atmosphere during their meal and nodded again. "Yes, we both finished."

Flender smiled, though if Yun Feng were to describe that smile, the word "sinister" would be a perfect fit.

"Very well, Oscar. I didn't expect you to be so caring, even taking responsibility for Ning Rongrong."

Flender pointed to a spot in front of him. Oscar, understanding he had been caught, let out a bitter smile. He knew he had no choice but to step forward and stand before Flender.

Flender slowly raised his right hand and lightly patted Oscar on the shoulder.

"I appreciate your spirit of camaraderie. Since that's the case, go run another twenty laps. Show me just how deep your sense of camaraderie runs. You can't rest until you finish, and I've sealed your soul power, so don't think about removing it. Now, go."

Oscar didn't say anything but internally wanted to cry. He turned and started running immediately, knowing he'd been made an example of.

Out of respect for Flender, Oscar didn't argue and began running without complaint.

"I hope some people will step forward and admit their mistakes on their own, rather than waiting for me to call them out. It'll be much less embarrassing that way!"
