Book 2 Chapter Eight; Capture the Flag
Tango and Mary had been travelling the labyrinth like they had done so in their youth. He had forgotten the beauty of this labyrinth, and it was now while he was doing his best to grow stronger alongside Mary. That he was remembering why he had ever entered the labyrinth.
He and Mary were travelling through a gate that was just one massive jungle. They had been attacked relentlessly and though they were gaining exp and stats. They were looking for something or for someone. After Jazmel and his party had freed Tango, many things happened. The first of them, was Tango gained direction from the system. Even now, as they travelled, he remembered it.
The system had alerted everyone to the completion of the hundredth floor, this had travelled through the labyrinth like wildfire. Guilds and factions called all members home. The first thing Tango and Mary had, had to do was return to her guild.
They were not small, but moderate in their holdings. They were not as blood thirsty and ambitious as others. But calling for a return from everyone made it known they planned to react as quickly as they could.
As he was not a member of the guild, he was not allowed inside its Ranker hall, but he waited patiently for Mary, while she was inside, he went to the bank. Emptied his savings and replenished his items and equipment. He felt better, wearing items and clothing he had picked, but he was itching to get back into the wild. He needed to push his own limits and level up. He had waited outside the halls for almost an hour before Mary returned, she wore a sour look and he surmised she had heard something she was not happy about.
“What’s the task.” He asked, knowing that she was already annoyed.
“Every guild member has to tier up. All tier III Rankers have to make it to master as soon as possible, we need to expand our limits but also, we need to recruit more.” She said and spat a wad of saliva on the ground.
“What is wrong with that?” he asked, he imagined everyone was planning on getting stronger.
“All Rankers are to recruit two new seekers!” She yelled and he shrunk beneath her anger.
Mary hated the recruitment side of the business, and she made it well known. But her guild kept pushing for her to attend recruitment gatherings. But he kept a lid on it and hid his rue smile.
They left the floor, and the tasks began to flood in, a new floor appeared before them. somewhere they both had not been and as a guildmember. Mary had to try her best at completing the task as well as alerting her guild on the new floor.

CAPTURE THE FLAG BEFORE THE NIGHT COMES
…
The labyrinth for the first time showed them where the flag was, and it was hours away. Tango and Mary began their sprint. The jungle was massive and while monsters and beasts tried their best to stop them. they rushed to get through. Tango’s stats had changed a lot, the trait had helped with that too.
DING
TRAIT: AIR SPRITE (PASSIVE)
When moving at a speed, Mana can be used to raise the agility stat. 7% increase at the cost of 5% Mana per stat point.
It was a ridiculous gift from the system, but the system never made things easy. Tango was keeping close to Mary; he was faster than her but there was no need to leave her alone in here. she had been so gracious to travel with him and help him fortify his stats.
“Beast on the left.” She said to him as they rushed through the trees and bushes of the jungle.
“I got it!” he said and ramping up his speed, he dived forward. On his belt he had two scabbards, which sat on his left hip, a short sword, and a kukri knife. Drawing both blades, he spun out and shouted.
“Wind blade!” a flash of white Mana in the form of an almost translucent scythe cut through the head and neck of a beast, he did not even know what type it was, but he had no time to loot its corpse. But he smiled as the system chimed.
TITLE IN USE
MAGPIE TITLE

CORPSE LOOTED
TIER II JUNGLECAT KILLED
JUNGLECAT FUR LOOTED
He smiled, a title he had gained many years ago, any monster he killed. Automatically he could pick up something from its corpse. The only downside was that it was random and so he did not have a choice of what he could collect.
He slowed down to let Mary catch up and she did. They continued on, heading for the flag.
