Lucius POV
Hostess of Fertility.
...
...
When I was heading to the table under everyone's gaze, I couldn't help but hear Loki interrupting me.
"Wait, kid! Tell me your name?" Loki asked, and I got a little annoyed with her calling me that, almost calling her flat-chested as well.
"Lucius Drakenar, Goddess Loki," I said calmly.
She just nodded, but I saw her gaze directly at me, trying to see all my secrets.
After I finally sat at the table, it didn't take long for Hestia to join us, after getting tired of arguing with Loki. Even as I focused on Bell and Hestia discussing what to order, I could sense, Riveria must occasionally, especially the younger elf beside her, who should be cursing me for seeming so bold publicly. Bete was in a bad mood while drinking fiercely but didn't do anything because his goddess was there, the Amazons were whispering, the commander just analyzed me for a moment but didn't say anything, the dwarf found my attitude amusing and praised me for the courage, Aiz had a neutral look that kept returning to Bell from time to time.
"Mr. Bell, do you already know what to order?" A voice came next to Bell.
"Syr, an extra-large potion of potatoes with cheese and sausage, please, an orange juice for me," said Bell.
"I want a beer!" Hestia added.
"A 24-year-old Scotch for me," I said, making my companions a little stunned, not because I chose whiskey but because I ordered a whole bottle.
"What's the matter? I'm here to celebrate!" I protested while Bell and Hestia continued to look at me.
"I'm of legal age, I'm over 18." I murmured.
"Hahaha, your companion is quite interesting, Bell," said Syr, and I shuddered when I heard that.
'Not you, please! Pay attention to your Bell, make that sacrifice for me, Bell, I count on you to shine and overshadow me for a while!' I said internally.
Our orders were brought to the table by Syr.
"A toast!" shouted Hestia as we raised our mugs to toast.
The sound of the mugs clashing greatly improved the atmosphere after the discussions we had a moment ago.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Lucius, there was a discussion at another table.
"Who is he, Riveria? I see you look at him from time to time," Tiona said curiously.
"Well... I met him with Aiz in the dungeon... a few days ago..." Riveria said calmly, trying not to break her posture, even with the embarrassing question.
"He's just a weakling! There's no reason to pay attention to him!" Bete growled.
"But the young man has courage, I have to admit. I've never seen anyone hit on our princess. HAHAHAHA," Gareth couldn't help but laugh.
"This kid thinks he can steal mommy!? I'm going to teach him a lesson and that chibi if he tries to get close to my Riveria!" Loki declared angrily.
"What do you think of him, Loki?" Finn's voice was heard, and Loki became serious now, even her eyes opened a bit.
"He's weak, that's obvious, but I'm the god of trickery and can see things other gods can't... He has something and it's something quite powerful... but even I can't identify what it is," Loki said, not sounding like a drunk.
"That's what I thought, something about him isn't right, my instincts are conflicting, he's someone that anyone at this table could handle in seconds, but everyone would be shocked having a fight with him, I don't know if it's good or bad," Finn said.
"He's still a weakling, I could end him... he said he'd surpass me, I doubt a weakling like him would do that..." Bete grumbled a bit drunk.
"You know him, Riveria, what do you think of him?" The dwarf asked the superior elf.
"I met him wearing street clothes on the seventh floor; he looked like a beggar if I saw him on any street outside the dungeon," she said, stunning everyone.
"I initially thought someone threw him out of the dungeon to die, but he seemed calm and well, just a little tired. When I offered help with Aiz, he refused and cast a quickly chanted spell to say he was fine. I got interested in the magic as a fellow magician," Riveria said.
"Are you sure you were only interested in his magic?" Tiona asked, teasing the elf.
"Of course, even though he had a very pleasant conversation, I was interested in the potential, seeing that humans are weaker with magic and he showed himself stronger than most high elves!" Riveria exclaimed with a bit of embarrassment with the insinuation, but she tried to appear stern.
"He also didn't want to talk about his family, but it seems he didn't have one that day, a pity because I would have invited him to ours," Riveria said.
"Damn that chibi! How can he be so lucky? He seems so interesting, despite being weak," Loki grumbled.
"He seems quite interested in you, Riveria; I wish the captain were like that with me!" Tione said, lamenting, while drinking.
Aiz remained silent throughout the whole conversation with a stoic face while drinking her juice, just like Lefiya, but she was too embarrassed to say anything.
After this discussion without Lucius knowing, the Loki family now also forgot about us and went to take care of their own business among themselves, of course, there were some glances at us all night since we were quite unknown to the whole city, but I didn't care about that and even forgot about Riveria to spend time with my family.
"Bell, you should have invited your support!" I said trying to make the boy relax a bit.
"I invited! But she didn't want to come..." He said awkwardly.
"Support? What support?" Hestia exclaimed, like a woman who had caught her husband with a lover in bed. I found it funny, so I started teasing and adding more fuel to the fire.
"A woman that Bell hangs out with now, they're alone in the dungeon, I saw them today... I wonder what they do in those dark corridors," I said with a smile.
"EHHHH?! It's not what you think, Mr. Lucius! She's my support, and we work together, sharing!" He exclaimed desperately.
"BBBBBEEEEELLLLLLL!!!!!!" Hestia shouted furiously, wanting to get an explanation from Bell about this unknown girl, while Bell died of embarrassment, as everyone around us suddenly turned their gaze to the boy.
"HAHAHAHA" I started laughing at this interaction, seeing it in person is better than in the anime, plus the whiskey is having some effect, and I'm getting a bit drunk.
"So, this is your family, brat!" A new voice pulled me out of my laughter, and I saw a shadow covering me. Mama Mia was the one who spoke next to us; she came to the table to deliver another mug of beer to Hestia.
"Yes, Miss Mia, this is my goddess, Hestia, and the other is our new member, Lucius," Bell said.
"Hmmm... This one has courage... Despite being so skinny... Maybe you can eat more." She said with a smile, wanting to sell me some items from her menu.
"Hello Mama Mia, I don't know you, but I already like you." I said, I've always liked her character, so I was pleased to say that in person.
"Sorry, young man, you're too skinny and too young for me, your trick doesn't work on me like it did with my waitresses, by the way, tell me what the hell you did there?" She said with a forced smile while pointing to Anya and Chloe.
Both were gathered in a corner looking at the two of us, seeming to avoid work, while Ryuu and Syr were overwhelmed with work; they were blushing behind the menu while whispering, but I didn't have very good hearing to hear their conversation.
"Not me, maybe, charisma and personal charm?" I said laughing, but not because I think of myself that way, it was more of a drunk joke.
"Hmm... I can see you're going to give me trouble, so I'll order a dish for your loss not to be so great." She said, and I shrugged.
"I can't disagree, so send me your best dish, Mia!" I said with a smile, and she smiled equally, not caring that I was so informal with her.
The rest of the night was fun; Anya and Chloe really escaped from work to sneak up on our table.
"Nyaahh! Lucius-Nyah, are you new to Orario-Nyah?" Anya was by my side without anyone noticing; she was a level 4 assassin, so it's understandable.
"Not exactly, I've been here for 2 years; I was from a middle-sized family, but because of some events, today I find myself with Hestia and Bell." I smiled.
"Really-Nyah?" Another voice appeared on my other side, Chloe.
'Darn! I almost had a heart attack here.' I jumped in surprise to face the new presence.
"2 years is quite a long time; that's why you're so strong, Mr. Lucius?" Bell asked.
'Strong? I must have lower stats than you.' I exclaimed internally.
"I'm weak still, Bell, but I will become strong." I declared.
"I think the same!" He said while looking at another table with a certain blonde.
Hestia was silent; she knew Bell's secret and Lucius's past, not wanting to say anything about either of them.
"What was your family, Nyahh?" Anya asked.
'I thought that would be the most frequent question in the last few days, but no one had asked the million valis question yet.' I thought to myself.
"I don't think this will be hidden forever, so I'll tell you." I said and saw their faces become expectant expressions.
"I was a member of the...H"
"NYAHHH?!!"
"NYAHHH?!!"
Before even answering, Mama Mia appeared and pulled the ears of the beautiful cat-girls and took them back to work.
"You see? Young man, I'm having trouble because of you; I hope you spend a good amount to compensate for this!" She declared easily.
"Then give me another bottle of Scotch." I said.
"Are you sure you don't want a wine from the Soma family? It's more expensive..." She asked with a playful tone.
"Nahhh, I'm not into wine, but thanks, Mia." I smiled.
The rest of the night was fun; Hestia was getting drunk with her beer mugs, while Syr came to talk to Bell and got scolded like Anya and Chloe, but we had good laughs.
With Anya, Chloe, and Syr avoiding work, Mia declared that she would charge us double, which made Hestia cry in the end. While Ryuu was looking emotionlessly at us, I wondered if she was angry because we were the cause of her having to work four times more on a busy night.
In the end, we decided to go home.
'I hope my future wife doesn't think I'm a playboy after seeing the waitresses surround our table so much.' I couldn't help but think as I looked at Loki's table while we were closing the bill.
Bete was staring at me drunkenly; I winked at him because I was drunk too, and he growled with some members of his table laughing at that.
Then we started to leave; it was a satisfying night, after eating, drinking, and laughing for hours. The Loki family still stayed at the Pub, and we left under some of their glances.
